Chapter 2 Visit

"I hope that this doesn't happen again in the future Aeros. The ancient gods will not allow tampering of the flow of time. Though this is not the first time that this has happened, I will not allow anything like this again." Their father said with a stern tone. "Yes father, this is the first time and the last. I will make sure that this never happen again." He said while kneeling and holding two bright colored spheres. "So- what do you plan to do with your brother? You may have turned back time but his hatred for all of you are still there. That is not a good sign if you ask me."

"I-I plan to talk to him about it. Whether he hates me or not, I will pester him until he no longer feels alone." He responded. "Is that so? If you plan to do that, I strongly suggest that you do it as soon as possible. Because, he looks like he is willing to break some rules just as you and the others had in the past." Aeros turns to look at his father who gestured him to look at something different.

He turned and saw that his father is showing Requiem looking at the human that will become his company in the future. "Father. Is it possib-" before he could finish what he had to say, Aeros stops talking when he saw his father shaking his head. "I know what you are thinking and I am afraid that is not possible. Like I told you earlier, tampering with the flow of time will not be allowed, and you gave me your word. Are you going to break it after a few minutes?" his father looks at him with a disappointed tone and shakes his head disappointingly.

"Why is it not possible? That is just a human. How can that human be protected by the rule of the skies?" he asked with a bit of an angered tone. "Watch your tone boy. None of us can tamper with what is already destined to happen. That human is destined to meet your brother and be his company. Your promise, you will have to finds a way to fulfill it without tampering with the flow of time. You destroy that human now and you will end up in the same thing that started all of this."

Aeros bit his lip out of anger and his father could understand ow he feels. "Why? Why did you give him the power that can kill all the gods? Why grant him that power?" he looks at his father with pure anguish but his father kept his cool and just sigh. "Why do you think that I gave him that power? I want to hear your opinion."

"Is it because he is your favorite?" his father just smiled and slap him really hard.

SLAP!

"Your perception is far from the truth. Did you think I gave Helos his power to heal because he likes healing people? You know him more than anyone else, he used to be cruel to others, to mortals. By giving you the power that is opposite of what you are will make you strong. I have seen how well he can use his power and how he learned to be gentle. I made him the best as he can be. As for you, I did not hand you the authority over death because I can see it in your eyes, you crave for power, out of all you brothers, you are the most power hungry child that I have. Requiem on the other hand is as gentle as a lamb that is why I gave him the dominion over death."

Aeros looks at his father with nothing but confusion and surprise. "I will give you the power that you have always wanted, but that is after you take over for me. That is enough Aeros. Go back to your room." The bright colored sphere that is weighing down Aeros' hands disappeared the moment Arshem blinks his eyes. "Remember what you promised. Breaking it will anger the ancient gods. We value promise like anything else." His father reminded but Aeros walks away without listening to their father.

"What are you doing here? Are you here to scold me as well brother?" he turns to the sides and sees Helos leaning against the wall. "I heard a bit of it. From the point when you said to get rid of that human. Have you not see what that action caused us? We lost a lot when Requiem decided to turns his back on us and I don't blame him. I am partially to blame for what he did. We are his brothers and yet we did not once visit him in the nether realm." Aeros sneered at him. "So you think so as well." Aeros walks away after seeing that his brother is also in the same page as their father. "go talk to yourselves then." He muttered to himself.

In the mean time

"Koren honey. Its time to go home now. Its getting late. Play with the animals tomorrow when it is bright." A woman with a very pleasant smile called her child who is playing with the animals from the forest. "Okay mother. Can I play with them all day tomorrow?"

"Yes you can but you need to make friends, if this continues then you might be alone for a long time." his mother said with a concerned tone. "But I already have friends, people are really judgmental and they hurt each other. Animals are very different. We all just play and sometimes hurt each other but they don't mean it unlike people." He responded with a casual tone.

Requiem looks at them from a distance and then a deer walks up to him. "Thank you for your services." Requiem touches the deer and it turned to dust. "The first time we met is still a few years in the future. I already miss you young man, I hope we can see each other again sooner." He said to himself as he walks inside the portal and disappeared in a blink of an eye.
