Chapter 7 Failure

When Elena returned home, she slammed her door shut because of her anger. With a bandage on his left hand, her mother ignored her daughter. She still can't believe what her daughter is capable of. It did not hesitate to use its power to harm her. She couldn't help but cry while washing the dishes. She never imagined she'd have a child that was as evil as the devil.

Elena's mother, Glena, was well aware that she was expecting a baby. Elena's manipulation resulted in a grandchild for her. Elena's actions with Simoun had paid off, Glenda knew. She couldn't help but sympathize with her daughter's ruined life.

Elena is unaware that her Mother holds a power as well, but it is locked away in a sacred object, preventing her from using it. Glenda is hesitant about using the magic she received from her father, a good witch. His father uses power for good, as opposed to his mother, who wields power for evil. Glenda promised not to use it until she absolutely had to, which she wanted to do on these times. She promised herself to use her magic for good, and she's willing to help Simoun for that.

Elena's entire room was dimly lit. Because the windows are closed and the inner windows are still covered with thick black cloth, no light from the street lights or light from the moon may enter the room.

"Phasmantos, accendit lucernas," Elena said as she lit the candles in her room. As she lit the

candles in her room, Elena said. The entire room was encircled by candles. They're on the floor, on the table, and in the cabinets. Candles, not the lights from the pole and bulb, provides lighting throughout the space.

Elena's brows drew together as her fists clenched. She was enraged that Simoun had betrayed

her. All she wants is vengeance on Cherie, who has slowed down all of her plans. Elena believes that Cherie is the reason Simoun abandoned her and fled away, leaving her and thei child. She sat down on the floor and took an old world map and three large white candles off the table next to her. She placed it in a triangle shape. She took up the sharp blade on her bed and cut her palm down, dripping blood all over the world map. She shut her eyes closed and prayed.

"Accipe sanguinem meum ad viam suam," Elena's wrist trembled as her mouth trembled. She said it over and over till tears welled up in her eyes. Nothing happened when harry looked at the global map. Her blood had simply spilled across the old paper.

"What? What's going on? I really don't know why it doesn't work. I don't understand! " Elena

yelled, her fists trembling. While facing the global map, she placed her palms on the area where the map is underneath.

"Accipe sanguinem meum ad viam suam!" Her tone is abrasive. Instead of moving, the blood in the area where Simoun was hiding caught fire. Elena sprang back in surprise. As she tweaked himself, she shouted loudly.

Elena seemed to be going insane at those times. As she stared at the flaming world map, her screams and cries echoed. "Fuck! Fuck! " Elena yelled. She was even more moved to tears when

she witnessed the paper turn to ashes when the flames suddenly stopped. Instead of finding Simoun, fate seems to be playing games on her, since this is what happened.

"Don't go ahead with your plan if I were you," warned the elderly woman in front of her. Elena

put down her tears and turned to face the old lady. In front of her stood an elderly woman with long, flowing hair. It was black-coated and smiling at her.

Elena asked the woman, "Who are you, and what are you doing here?" as she slowly stood up.

"I don't have to introduce myself to you. What am I doing here?" Gabriela replied, raising her fist

along with Elena's headache, which caused her to scream.

She raised her palm as well, but his head hurt even more, as if she'd lost all of her power as a result of the old lady; this was the second witch she'd faced, but this one was more powerful than Simeon.

"If you still want to live, with your child, stay away from my grandson," she said, lowering her hand as the ache in his head subsided. Elena let out a sigh of relief. What the old woman had done to her had weakened her even more.

"Once you disturb Simoun, this isn't going to be enough," the old woman stated as she extinguished the candles' flames. The room got silent as the surroundings darkened again. Elena

was unable to do anything but cry and hold her stomach.

Elena was up early this morning. She couldn't eat breakfast or drink water any longer. Because as soon as she awoke, she grabbed her late grandmother's book and began reading it. She was desperate to increase her power, so she might use it against her enemies, the old witches. Whose more powerful and stronger than her. She'll do anything to make that happen, to be the most powerful witch in their town.

Two days later, Glenda is worried about her daughter because she hasn't even left her room for two days. Glenda is anxious about her daughter two days later because she hasn't left her room

in two days. She didn't even eat the food she had hidden on their small table for her. She wanted to knock on her bedroom door, but she was frightened she might be killed if she did so. When she got a call from the cafeteria, she forgot about her problems about Elena. She turned around and went to the cafeteria counter.

Glenda asked of the man in front of the counter, "What is it?" The man was facing at the back, so she can't see his face . Glenda smiled as her hand was wiped clean by the apron that she's wearing. The woman's eyes widened as he turned to face her.

"Brother?"

Elena's weight loss and haggardness were visible after two days without food and sleep. Sh e wasn't feeling hungry, thirsty, or tired; she was too fascinated with the book in her hands. He read five large books in two days, but not a single one of them contained the answer to her issue. Elena let out a sigh and lowered the book in her hands.

She was about to leave the room when her gaze was drawn to a black box that appeared to be a treasure chest. She approached it and took it out of curiosity. When she noticed it was locked, she would have unlocked it. She searched the corners of her room for the key. She found many keys, but all of them doesn't suit the box. Elena closed her eyes and held the black treasure chest in her hands.

"Aperta arca..." Elena muttered as she blinked open her eyes. When it unexpectedly opened, she was taken aback. Elena was shocked because the fact that it could be opened by a spell only indicated one thing: the contents of the wooden treasure box were precious.

Elena was taken aback as she looked inside. The little book was wrapped in an old fabric. The book appears unusual because she believes it is composed of the strong braided branches of a

tree stem. And something is missing in the middle.

Elena opened the book and asked herself, "What is this?" She was shocked and dropped the book she was holding. She had heard about this book from her grandmother when she was a kid, and she knew it was a dangerous book for witches like her. The deadliest curse you can bestow on someone, as well as the most horrific black powers, are detailed in this book. 'The Devil's Bible' is the title of the book. It can't be used without the ruby, which is the book's heart
