Chapter 6 Finally he confessed

Bibek slowly approached the assassins; he was careful enough so as to not alert the enemies. ' If I jump on them now then it would be disadvantageous to me. I know I am quite proficient in the art of war and battle but I must not forget the rules of knighthood. The first rule is never overestimate yourself or never look down on your enemies. I will utilize the chaos to sneak attack them. But I will be scolded if my father found out about it.'

Princess Melina was meditating when Birbal was alerted by the noise outside of her palace. The knights guarding the princesses' palace screamed.

" Sir knight, there are enemies. We need help."

The enemies were stronger than the guards because of this Birbal had to intervene as he felt an ominous aura. From the aura alone he could tell that someone strong was there.

Just then the door of the princesses palace opened up and a middle aged man in his late forties came out. He showed no fear when faced with so many of them. Dozens of guards who were guarding the princesses palace were convulsing on the ground.

He sighed at their pitiful state but was relieved to know that their life wasn't in danger. He roared " Hmph, brats mind your words before you regret your decision. I am old doesn't mean that I am as worthless as you lot are. Now then will you show up yourself or should I clean them up first?"

The assassin frowned at the old man's arrogance. The man who was looking down on the assassin previously said " Hmph, old man your day has come. I will grant you eternal slumber under my blade."

The man dashed towards the old man and slashed his blade aimed at the old man's neck. The assassin's thought that the old man was done for. They laughed and mocked " It seems all those rumours were exaggerated. The old man is done for. If we knew this we wouldn't even have brought hunter along with us.''

'' Hmph,fools don't judge a book by its cover. Your friend is done for. Courting death for your arrogance! How laughable it is?" Tge group turned their heads towards the source of sound. They became surprised as the one praising the old man was none other than the hunter that they brought along with them.

Just then a head came flying towards them. It was the head of one of their friend who went to behead the old man. There wasn't a single noise as the head flew towards them. Not a sound of scream nor the sound of unseating the blade.

The hunter praised the old man " Hah, I was wondering when I would be able to have a decent fight and now the heavens has blessed me with this opportunity. Old man, it seems my visit this time is worth my time."

Birbal scoffed as he said "my..my..if it isn't the ruthless martial fanatic. I wonder if you were sent here by the 3rd prince of the Ren luo kingdom?"

The hunter scoffed with his hands on his chin as he said " I have heard that you are the reason for the stability of this small kingdom. As for your question, do I even need to answer? If not for him, is there anyone able to move me? Let me see if your skills have rusted over the past years away from the battlefield."

" I hope my speed isn't too much for your old eyes."

Just as his dagger was about to reach the old man's neck he missed his attack by a narrow margin.

The old man scoffed as he said " is this the limit of a martial fanatic? I was expecting more from you."

The scale of battle heightened immediately. The assassin frowned in shock. They couldn't even tell who was where or who was gaining the upper hand.

'' is this even possible? How could they fight like this? Are they even human?"

Their bodies were trembling at the thought of the old man beheading them without them knowing about it. It was such a fearsome thought for them.

" It's no use thinking about those useless things. Our priority is to abduct the Princess. If we fail then we better not return as only death awaits us."

The group nodded their heads and began to approach the princess palace. Birbal saw this and tried to interfere with them but he was intercepted by Hunter. " Old man, I am sure that I can't defeat you but you also can't interfere with them until you finish this battle."

Just then both of them sensed another aura. Birbal was quite familiar with this aura so he scoffed as he said " Hmph, I don't even need to interfere anymore. Now I can give my all to behead you for trying to abduct the princess of our nation."

" Hmph, old man, are you feeling assured as someone is approaching? Why are you so sure that person is an ally and not the enemy? Even if he is an ally, how will he face so many of them?"

" Hmph, you don't need to worry about it. Since you wanted to know if my blade has rusted or not then I shall show you my true abilities.''

One of the guards who escaped rushed to the king's palace. The king who was resting in his palace came out after knowing that his daughter was being targeted by assassin's.

He immediately summoned the elite guards and went to his daughter's palace. The trumpets of the palace signaled the guards to lock the entrance of the capital. He knew that he would be late in arriving so he used this method to trap the assassin's.

He seemed worried about his daughter but the fact was that he was worried about his relationship with the 3rd prince of the Ren luo kingdom being affected by this event. The assassin's were alerted by the commotion.

" Hurry up, we need to escape before the city gates are closed."

" There she is. Look how carefree she is? Should I wake her up?"

Princess Melina who was meditating was disturbed by the commotion. Just when she opened her eyes she was taken aback by surprise.

Infront of her more than 10 men with their faces covered stood. Each of them was holding a dagger in their hands. The dripping blood from the daggers gave her chills. She asked din fright '' Who are you all? Who let you in? Where is uncle knight? Why are you holding weapons in your hands?"

One of the men slowly approached her as he said " My..my.. Princess, you really are as beautiful as they say. No wonder the prince is so onto you. I really want to taste you but no worries we will get out chance once he gets fed up by you.''

Princess shivered as his malicious words and looks. ' you piece of shit."

Just then someone shouted " Brother, somethings wrong here. I can't see the 3rd group. They were with us when entering the palace but they are nowhere to be found."

" Hah, you are thinking too much. They must be taking good stuff since we won't get another chance like this. Just go with your group and bring them here. We need to leave this place. Now let's tie the princess."

Princess Melina tried to resist as hard as possible. She threw everything her hands reached to but they remained unscathed. Just as she was about to throw a sword the man grabbed her hand as he said " Wow, how fierce you are. Guess we got a fierce cat for our prince. Now will you willingly come with me or should I force you"

Melina spit on his face as he said " Hmph, just wait, when my father knows about this he will make you all regret."

" Hmph, do you think your father cares about you? He is nothing more than an ant in front of the 3rd prince. Even if he captures us, the 3rd prince would make him release us. Now enough chattering."

He forced a cloth in her mouth and tied her hands and legs.

He turned around to leave the princess palace along with her but the scene behind gave him chills. The brothers he came along with were only half in number. '' Huh, where is everyone? Where did they all go?"

'' Brother, the group you sent to search for the 3rd group haven't returned. I also sent two of my brothers but even they haven't contacted me. It seems something isn't right here. We should leave immediately. Even if they are caught by the guards 3rd prince would force the king to release them.''

The man nodded his head as she said " Carry her and leave. Watch your surrounding while escaping.''

They all nodded their heads and began to escape the palace.

Bibek sighed as he dealt with the 12th assassin. " It's good that the king has alerted the guards. But it would be too late if I wait for them to arrive. They are moving away I need to proceed cautiously.`` He murmured to himself and came out of the Princess palace.

Birbal was still engaging in the battle with the hunter. But he wasn't exhausted at all. On the other hand hunter was at the verge of falling down. He said " Hmm, didn't you say you are going on an adventure? Why did you come back?"

" Hmm, I just happened to bump into these fools who were planning the Princesses abduction. Thanks to your pressure during my childhood. I was able to tell what they were talking about. How could I go on an adventure knowing that she is in danger? So I returned. Since you have taken care of him I will leave and pursue them."

At the same time.

'' Hurry up, we are only an hour away from leaving this capital. Watch your back."

" Huh what happened? Everyone look around."

The group spread around and began to watch their surroundings carefully as they unfolded the dagger in their hands.

Bibek came down from one of the trees. A man in disguise of a assassin. Bibek looked at the princess. Thankfully she was unconscious. He said " Well I was thinking of giving up. The king told me to forget her and I accepted. I even told her to accept the marriage but it seems i made a mistake. Now as long as I live not a single strand of her hair would be harmed."

" Hmph, fool, you should have stayed hidden. You dared to show yourself and it's your greatest mistake. I thought who it was who came for her rescue but it seems to be her secret lover. But no worries, we will send her away to meet you after we are done with her."

Princess Melina wasn't unconscious. She only acted like that as she recognized the voice. ' Huh, is it true? What a douchebag he is? Couldn't he tell me before? Why did he have to force me to accept the marriage. I am grateful to that bastard 3rd prince who planned to abduct me. If not for him I would have never known his heart.'

Just then she knew the reason. Bibek became ruthless as he attacked dtge assassin's. They weren't a match for him at all. How could they be able to stop him when he used to train with his father, the strongest man of the kingdom.

" My father always told me that the king is above me and I as a commoner should never oppose him. He knew what I had in her and told me that my blood is not suitable for his royal family. I only hoped that she would be happy but it seems she won't be happy if I let her marry off to that scum. Sooner or later I will take his head away."

Only two men among the assassins were left standing. They tried to threaten him " If you dare take out lives then the 3rd prince would move his forces against this kingdom. Will you be able to afford the consequences? Do you not fear death?''

'' Hmph, fear! I do fear but not like you do. For you fear means to face up and run away but to me fear means to face up and rise. Now I shall end your life.``

He moved like a flash and beheaded the two men. After that he approached the princess and untied her. He took off his disguise and said " Princess, what are you doing? I already know you are acting. Come on, let's go back, everything is over. Once your father knows about this he won't force you to marry that scum. But if he dares to then I will take you away. Now are you satisfied?"

She chuckled as he said " Hmph, what a douchebag you are? Couldn't you have said so before? Do you know how hurt I was when you told me to accept the marriage? How could you be so heartless?"

" Hmph, enough chattering about it. We need to return quickly. We can talk about this later after we return. Came I will carry you back." He bent his body to carry her and she happily rode on his back. Her bright face was worth looking at. It might be her first time being so happy.
