Chapter 5 Ambush

Birbal sneered as he said " Unlike your naive and innocent self, you seem quite capable. So let me ask again. Princess, are you willing to become strong even if it costs you your life?"

Princess Melina nodded her head as she said " Hmm, uncle knight, I am a little afraid since you put it that way but I can't simply back away. If I want my destiny to be changed then I believe that I should have enough influence over the world itself."

" Hmm, your mind is great at adapting to the situation. I must say that your talents surpass the talent of your brothers. It's a pity that the king wishes to marry you off to another land."

" Hmm, uncle knight, why are you sighing? Aren't I doing all of this to change my fate? If I manage to do so then I won't have to marry that prince at all."

" Well, it's true princess, but there are few things I am afraid of. The Ren luo kingdom has only given us three months of time. I am afraid you won't be able to achieve world shaking authority within this short amount of power."

Feeling sad and burdened by this fact she said " It's true that it might not be possible but it's still better to try than to do nothing."

Birbal nodded his head as he said " So shall we start with your basic training? Since you were pampered by the king all this time, your psysics is weak. We need to strengthen your physical abilities before moving forward to training.''

She nodded her head as she asked " So what should I do?"

Birbal pondered for a while as he asked " Well, before we proceed I would like to ask. Do you know anything about martial arts?"

Princess Melina instantly shook her head. She did know about martial arts thanks to the ancient book but her knowledge was not enough. So she shook her head wishing to learn more about it. " No, I haven't heard about it? Is it something that we are going to train about?"

Birbal nodded his head as he said " yes, it is something that I intend to train you in. Do you know how I manage to maintain the safety at the border of the country despite only having a hundred man troops?"

" I don't know but since uncle knight put it that way I guess it is also because of martial arts. Is martial arts that great?"

Birbal shook his head as he pondered for a while and said " To be precise, martial art isn't that great as it depends upon the person who learns it. But it's true that it can help a person to surpass their physical limit. Though it can help you to surpass your physical limit, it comes with extreme dangers. That why I asked if you were prepared or not."

" I think I understand a little. So what should I begin with?"

" Well, why don't you sit down with both of your eyes closed. Try to figure out the sources of the sound that you would hear from now onwards."

Princess Melina nodded her head as she began to concentrate in meditation as told by the knight.

At the same time

" Even heaven blesses us with such favourable weather. The rain will hide our presence completely. We don't need to be wary of being noticed by the guards as the noisy thunder would mask the sound of our footsteps. Now we would move in as a group. Each group would consist of five members except ours. As soon as the hunter distracts the ruthless General, we will abduct the princess."

All of them dispersed in a matter of seconds. Bibek, who was following them from behind, was a little shocked. ' Hmm, they seem quite capable. Were they hiding their aura during the day? It seems possible as they wouldn't want the enemy to be alerted by their slight mistake. This is going to be a little troublesome.
