Chapter 9 Episode 9

"Speak up" Travis urged, his eyes staring back into hers only. He hoped she would say what he wanted to hear.

Annie knew it was better to keep quiet and not remind him that she was the girl he kissed at the restaurant.

"Come on, speak up" his masculine voice vibrated in her ears. It was a ragged command. He approached her slowly.

"You're almost naked!" She shouted, her eyes glued to the tattoo on his right arm. His tattoo was so beautiful and attractive. She felt like touching it.

Travis scoffed. He knew he was no where close to nakedness, he had on his joggers and he was shirtless and that's because he just left the gym. "I will be right back. I will go get my shirt" he glanced at her once and left.

Immediately he left, Annie slammed her forehead, wondering what she has really gotten herself into.

"Why him? Oh god!" She muttered, close to tears because she knows she knew she was into real trouble. She only hope he doesn't remember her.

She set the dinning and he was out minutes later completely dressed in a royal blue suit that suit his demeanor. The ring in his right hand was so extravagant. He really has a good taste in fashion.

"You don't have to be here so early on your first day" he said after sitting on the dinning.

He took a sip of the coffee, Annie fiddled with her fingers.

"How did you know I like eggs on Thursday?" Travis asked, feeling so surprised and a bit suspicious.

"Uhh....I was told sir...." Annie stammered and it made Travis smelt a dead rat.

"By who?" He asked.

"Uhmm by...uhm...the person...." Annie stammered.

"By Etna?" He asked, wondering if she had difficulty in remembering the name.

"Hmm yes" Annie nodded. That was a narrow escape. "Etna told me everything. She talks a lot" she added and Travis was became more suspicious as ever. Etna doesn't talk a lot.

He knew something was wrong somewhere, or maybe probably Annie has a mission in his life.

"Get out, wait for me outside" he glared at her, his tone cold.

"Hmmm" Annie shivered. She wondered why he is so rude. She swallowed into nothing and hurried to carry her bag. She toppled over and almost fell with the heels making unusual sounds. Travis scoffed. When Annie grabbed her bag, his eyes caught a glimpse of his favorite novel in her bag and that was the final straw.

"Where did you get those novel from?" He almost barked at her.

Annie gained balance and swiveled her head to his sides. "Hmmm it's a book by StargirlSola, I love that writer so much" Annie replied..

"I see" was all Travis could say.

Annie nodded and left.

"Goodness. This meal is so delicious" Travis muttered immediately Annie was out if sight.

Something is really wrong with the new girl, he knows that she is definitely up to something and he will find out sooner or later.

After he was done with breakfast, he walked out to the car lot, his driver was waiting for him already.

"Have you met the new girl?" He asked his driver.

"Yes sir, I met her when I have her the house key" Alexandro replied.

"It's in my hand already" Annie jingled the key from behind.

Travis furrowed his brows. She really has a mission.

"These are our offices, our staffs will tell you what you need to know" Travis said.

Annie tripled while trying to match her walking pace with that if Travis.

Travis smirked and it really made Annie feel so low of herself.

"Why are the stocks still here?" Travis stopped walking and asked a girl from the creative department.

"It would be distributed with the new ones sir" Flora replied.

Shirley showed up from the blues. "Travis" she called sweetly, with a beautiful smile on her stress free face. One would think she was really staring at Travis but her eyes were glued to the little pretty thing behind him. The new girl.

"Where have you been?" Shirley asked as she approach Travis, she moved so close to him making sure that his eyes saw her plump breast from the first three buttons of her shirt she left opened.

"You told me to meet you at the venue" she smiled seductively...

.Annie hissed. She didn't know why she did that when Shirley was speaking. Not like she knows her before in the first instance.

"Why did that happen?" Travis shot Annie a glare.

Annie kept quiet, and looked back directly into his eyes. Travis also stared back and he felt like he has see those pair of eyes before but he doesn't know where exactly.

"Does my schedule says I had to be somewhere else this morning?" Travis blinked, breaking the eye contact he had with her.

"Let me have a look" Annie replied and flipped the notepad she had at hand.

"Hmm it doesn't look like it Sir" she replied.

"Look for who is Luke and tell him to come and see me" those where his words before he walked away.

Annie also turned to leave but Shirley's nagging voice made her stop.

"Stand still!"

"You messed up, thanks" Shirley drew a taut coldly, she pushed Annie out of the way and left.

Annie was confused. She wondered how she messed up. The schedule with her didn't say that Travis had to he somewhere that morning. She only told the truth and nothing else.

She let out a sigh.

During break, Annie was alone in a corner sipping a cold lemonade when two girls came to sit with her.

"Ahh you're the boss new errand girl. Then that means you will get all the latest news." The first girl said.

"Travis and Ran Yu recently had a fight in the business community, can you tell us more" The other girl requested.

"Listen guys, I only started today, I don't even know who is Ran Yu" Annie replied.

"Don't worry. Travis Santiago is very detailed oriented. He speaks his mind. Ran Yu is his strongest competitor and Travis is feared by almost everyone in the business game"

Annie nodded to everything the girls told her.

"Hmmm who is Luke?" Annie asked about a cute guy Travis asked her to call.

"He's Travis nephew...he often come around to help with somethings"

"Ohhh and that girl?" Annie asked about Shirley.

"She's the concept director and both Travis and Luke favorite girl" the first girl said.

"I don't think that's true" Brenda disagreed.

"Luke is crazy about Shirley but I don't think Travis likes her" Brenda added.

"Luke is crazy about a lot of girls" Vera laughed.

"Oh really?" Annie asked. She always sees Luke at Eat Rite, the restaurant she works before and he always look calm and gentle. Annie had always thought of him to he a good guy

"I'm surprised to hear that too. He is so friendly and he has such a good manner unlike Travis " Brenda said in a whisper.

"Good manner is so important. Why do some people think they can look down in others just because they have money" Annie said loudly. She made her voice loud intentionally because Travis was coming from behind and she wants him to hear it.

"You know. Does it makes you less of a human being just because you care about others? That's just how I feel " Annie said and was glad Travis had every single thing she said.

"Annie" Travis called, coldly.

"Excuse me" she stood immediately and grabbed her bag and notepad.

She left immediately.

"We need to keep an eye on her. That girl is so hilarious" Brenda uttered.

Annie walked into the elevator with Travis.

Her phone rang, Travis was puzzled and surprised to hear his favorite song as her ringtone.

"The rose of Seville..." Travis said, referring to her ringtone.

"Which rose?" Annie asked, confused. She wondered what he was talking about.
