Chapter 6 Episode 6

Travis eyelid opened to bright light of the day. He got off the bed and walked into the bathroom. He stood under the shower for long, different thoughts running through his mind. He thinks of nothing asides his chains of company. Now that Ran Yu, his strongest competitor is back in town, Travis has every reasons to double his efforts.

He came out of the shower, in an expensive blue robe. He carefully removed the diamond earrings in his ears and place them on the table stand. He had forgotten to remove them before sleeping yesterday's night.

Thinking of what to eat, he heard a knock at the door of his bedroom. He knew who it was, it was Mine. The only maid he has kept for years and the only reason he kept her was because she is an old woman, old enough to be his mother. If it were to be some young ladies, Travis was sure he wouldn't come. Before, he had always had young ladies around as maids but what they all did was to seduce him and he hated that.

"Mine, my normal breakfast" Travis uttered through the intercom.

"Okay sir" Mine replied before taking steady strides away from his bedroom door. Travis could hear the sounds of her shoe clicking on the floor. She even forgot to disconnect the intercom.

Mine can be so forgetful but he has no problem with that. He likes the woman naturally, she is so calm, there's this particular way the woman always look at him. Travis could bet, his own mother never gaze at him in such a lovely manner. Instead, all she knows is money, travel, shopping and fun..

Hours later, Travis was dressed for work. He had on a royal blue suit with a white inner vest. His hair was brushed nicely to the front and well oiled. He fixed an expensive wristwatch on his left wrist and on his write hand were two black bracelets.

On his feet was a pair of shining black office shoe. He was so adorable in his outfit.

"Good morning" Mine smiled as Travis descended down the stairs.

"good morning" Travis returned the smile. It was so crazy how he always return the woman's smile. He doesn't even return people's smile.

"Your... tie" Mine pointed out and Travis looked down at his tie.

"I will help you with that" Mine replied, she help him fixed it appropriately.

"Thanks" Travis blinked his lashes. He knows that being soft doesn't suit him at all.

He sat and took a bite of the toast and drank his tea in one goal.

The company was filled, it was a busy Monday. Different staffs were going around with their duties asides Shirley. She wondered why Travis hasn't been on seat.

The last time she checked his office, she left disappointedly.

She took the elevator and decided to go back to her desk but something made her stop. Six hot girls were taking the elevator leading to Travis office. Rage became her body fluid.

Shirley stopped the elevator and followed the ladies closely.

She saw the ladies stood in a line, close to Travis door. She wondered what was happening.

"Yes! What are you here for?" She asked, referring to them all at once.

None of them answered her and it angered her.

"I fucking asked a question" she almost raised her voice. She looked around and faced Hailey's desk. "Hailey, what are they here for?" Shirley asked Hailey, the secretary.

"Madam, they are here for the errand girl job and the boss wants to interview them himself" Hailey replied. She couldn't ignore the frown that formed on Shirley's forehead.

"I see" Shirley replied and walked away angrily.

Travis is the ladies boys, the ladies wants him but he is never interested. She was jealous he would suddenly find interest once he set his eyes on those girls because obviously, they were all hot.

"Are they as hot as I am" Shirley scoffed.

She couldn't wait for Travis to get to the office.

(Mrs Lila's Mansion)

"Good afternoon, aunty" Luke greeted Mrs Lila respectfully. He still doesn't understand the reason for the sudden visit.

"Good afternoon my dear" Lila replied, she cat walked to the couch and sat down cross legged.

"Hmm aunty. What is it that Travis can't know about?" Luke asked. He is Travis nephew, and ever since his parents died, Lila had raised him and Travis together as her own.

"I really like you, Luke you're always cheerful,you're a good listener and you have always be the best person to your brother" Lila said.

Luke smiled. "Aunt can you tell me why I'm here?"

"Oh Luke, I haven't slept in a wink of days. Not even a wink I tell you. Travis isn't making me happy, I will only be happy if he birth a son. He needs to get married Luke, right now"Lila blurts.

Luke sighed. "I understand aunt but Travis won't let anyone force him into marriage so it won't happen".

"Shirley will do her best to get a ring on my son's finger and then you will he a fifth wheel at their wedding. That's even if you're invited. Is that what you want, Luke" Lila asked, knowing fully well that Luke had interest in Shirley.

Luke breathed. He really liked Shirley hit she is just too obsessed with his brother and the only reason he is keeping quite is because he doesn't want a girl to come in between him and his brother.

"How do you feel about that? About Travis getting married to Shirley" Mrs Lila taunted.

"Look she's a lovely girl, charismatic, stylish and intelligent. Do you think no one had noticed that you only have eyes for her lately? I don't want to get involved. I'm only looking out for Travis" Lila smiled. It's like she already has everything planned.

"But what if Travis is also in love with her?" Luke asked.

"Never. Another girl will come into the picture. Relax" Lila replied. "I have found someone. I'm tired of trying. No one I introduce to Travis was good enough or nice enough. I'm changing strategy"

"What's the strategy?" Luke asked, curiously.

"The strategy is me training her until he likes her"Lila said with pride.

"Wait a minute. You will train her until he likes her and then you will hand the girl over to him? Just like that? This is just so crazy! Sorry but I don't think that's going to work" Luke grinned, surprised.

"Then I will have to explain to you. It will work. She will have to cling to him as if her life depends on him. We all know Travis is an introvert married to his job. He is the king of lonely hearts. He is completely antisocial. That's why I need I'm to see her all the time, if he looks up from his desk, she will be there, the first one he sees" Lila said.

Luke was silent for seconds. He finally found his voice. "That's what Etna does. She does everything, she is his errand girl. She gets his water, arranges his lunch at work, answers his phone, follow him to meetings, attends to his needs at work. she's always there"

Lila was impressed. "That's brilliant, then the wheel will turn. I will have to appoint the right girl as his personal assistant. You know, I don't think Travis will even notice if we change his errand girl and soon he will be in love. Then we will have a double wedding. You and Shirley, Travis and Annie" Lila clapped at her plan.

"Annie? Who's Annie" Luke asked.

Lila smiled. "You will find out soon"

"Hmm okay" Luke nodded.
