Chapter 5 Business

Richard's POV

"Look, I don't care what you do, I'm here for the first time and you gave me so much stress already, like seriously, I hate to admit, but this job sucks, you suck, your company sucks" Alexis yelled angrily, holding her book and pen she made to leave but i held her by her hands and pulled her closer to me.

"How dare you talk to me that way" i demanded angrily.

"Let go" she groaned trying to free herself, instead i held her tight glaring at her.

"How dare you talk to me that way" i asked gritting my teeth angrily.

No one would ever dare to talk to me this way, if she wasn't a lady , i won't have hesitated to get her beaten up.

She glared at me and struggled to free herself

"I said let go" she screamed

"Quit screaming, because no one will hear you" i said almost in a whisper

She glared daggers at me trying to free herself from my tight grip

"I am giving you the last warning" i said firmly

"Don't ever talk to me that way, get this straight into your tiny skull...." I paused tightening my grip, i fixed a hard gaze on Alexis

"I'm your boss, and you follow my rules, one is that you never talk back at me...i'm making this clear yet again, because you won't like to see the worst version of me, you can be off my company, but you won't be off my grip" i fumed and let go of her hands.

I saw her mumble some words angrily, but I didn't grasp her words .

She adjusted her skirt and straightened her hair.

"Well, Mr Richard...you may be my boss, at work but that ends there, being my boss doesn't means you should talk to me anyhow and stress me....and if I may remind you, you have a meeting to attend to, or don't you keep to time anymore?" she sneered and walked to the elevator door, she pressed the open button and got in. I saw her smirk before the door was shut.

'Oh I'm so gonna deal with you' I fumed hitting the wall in annoyance.

Alexis POV

I sighed angrily. I'm so annoyed right now.

I had let my anger taken the best of me, which I kinda appreciate a lot, he isn't gonna fire me though, I hope , but actually he deserved it, he deserved what I said, I don't care if i get fired , his company wasn't the only in America.

"Finally" i breathed as the elevator door opened, I got out and took the direction Rose had given me.

I opened the door and walked into the meeting room.

A cold shiver ran down my spine as I stepped my leg into the room. It gave off this cold aura, of fear and nervousness. The air conditioner, I guess was turned up to the highest level, but it was more than the air conditioner , the look plastered on everyone's face was that of fear and anxiety. Was this because of him, why had he instilled fear for him in them, hadn't I crossed my limit today...

Richard's POV

I gathered the files in my hands.

Alexis really had guts to talk to me that way, no one had ever dared to talk to me like she did.

Wasn't she even scared she might loose her job?, wasn't she scared of what i could do to her?. All these questions were running through my minds. She was the only girl who had not fallen head over heals for me, and this surprised me because I had always been the center of attraction, right from highschool, maybe that was why i had turned into a bad playboy.

Well, Alexis was right about something, i had a meeting to attend to. I will have this meeting and deal with her afterwards.

I opened the elevator and got in.

"Good morning sir " everyone in the room except Alexis greeted as soon as i walked in. The room was tensed and cold just as i loved it.

I opened my mouth to say something but i stopped, it would be better to ignore her till i find something to do with her .

I took slow strides to the head of the table and sat down. When I was settled i started talking.

"I called this meeting, because i want to pass some important message " i said and shot a quick glance at everyone in the room. The was silence as everyone's gaze were on me.

"Before i get to that....I'm sure most of us here has noticed we have a new worker in our midst, and she is taking the position of my secretary... " Adler said and paused

"Alexis Autumn " I called

Alexis put on a smile , which i thought to be fake and stood up

"Yes sir" she called

"You have more than a secretary job here, so after this meeting , meet with Rose McKay, and she will tell you what to do" i said without taking my eyes off her.

"Yes Sir" Alexis muttered and took her seat.

"To the main reason I called this meeting... I'll be having a business trip to Japan for some time, and during the time i won't be around , Clark will manage the company, and i don't want anyone messing up" i said .

I opened the files and removed some papers which i distributed to everyone on the table.

"That is the new project we would be working on" i said after everyone had collected the papers

"And i want everyone to work together and produce something, we would be having a meeting when I'm back to discuss this" i added

"Sir, may i ask a question" Alexis asked. I looked at her for some seconds, an idea clicked in my head and I smirked

"This meeting is over" i said dismissing everyone. I got up and headed to the door.

"But sir.." Alexis tried to say but I was out before she could complete her statement.

Alexis POV

I sighed watching his back as he walked out. Damn it, I shouldn't have asked him.

"It's okay Alex, I would answer your questions" a voice said and i turned

"Thanks rose, he's just a jerk" she said muttering the last part as i watched everyone leave the room.

I grabbed my book and the paper before walking out with rose.
