Chapter 8 A night filled with pain and sadness

**Alpha Anton P.O.V**

"Ahhhh" I growled in pain as I held on to the hard iron bars of the cell.

A place I was safe from hurting my Luna, Talia.

I growled even more squeezing the bars until my hands became numb and my teeth hurt for clenching them tightly.

"Everything will be back to normal," my father alpha Eric kept on reminding me.

I suddenly felt a strong pain around my wrists and ankles as if my first mate were tied down by chains tightly. The feeling burns badly.

"I can't take this anymore, father," I growled to him.

The pain was too strong and unbearable. I fell to the hard ground onto my stomach; turning and twisting my body trying to fight away this horrible pain. My wolf now wanted to seek our mate. I gently pulled myself off the ground bending onto my knees and the palms of my hand; uncontrollably.

"Ahhh!" I growled fighting away the feeling of wanting to save my mate.

"She's dead, our first Luna is dead," I growled to my wolf.

"Yes, let your wolf know, let him know she is dead!" my father shouted outside of my cell, encouraging me to not let my wolf control me and that the feeling my wolf felt was for the dead.

"Our mate is Talia," I again growled to my wolf.

"Wooooooo." I felt my wolf howled sadly within me, against what I had said.

It did not want to accept the fact that Talia was my Luna. Throughout my life, I have never felt my wolf felt so sad. Telling him who our mate was felt like I have stabbed myself with a knife in the heart. My wolf felt devastated and ruin by my words that now started to make me feel the same way. I again returned flat onto the ground on my right side; turning my back towards my father as he kept on reminding me that my first mate was no more, and Talia was home scared waiting on me. The sharp pain around my wrist had seemed to die down. It no longer felt like an iron was around both of my wrists still I could feel the pain. The pain around my ankles had started to get stronger as if I were being pulled by them. My wolf growled in pain until I no longer felt any. I huddled onto the ground feeling nothing but sadness and loss.

"It's over now, son," I heard my father as he opened the cell.

He came over to me helping me off the ground.

"You did good fighting away that stupid feeling for a dead," he said.

I nodded feeling weak and shook up by what I had gone through. Being within the cell all I could feel was the pain of what my dead mate had gone through before she died. I too felt that she had a beautiful heart a great connection I and Talia had never share for she was not my first mate.

"You said she was drowned," I said to my father while he carries me from the cell.

"Yes," he answered.

"Then why do I feel pain as if she was strapped down by chains?" I again inquired him.

My father carried me silently. Soon he answered. "I don't know why son?" he said. "For I was told sadly by her parents that she had died."

"How do you know if they were telling the truth?" I again inquired my father.

"Two weeks they died after losing their daughter in taking it seriously," he answered me.

"Did you see their body?" I inquired him curiously.

"You already have a mate, a beautiful one, and need to focus on her and your pack!" my father shouted angrily as he carried me; angered by my questions.

I was surprised by his reactions to my questions.

"I'm sorry son," he apologized. "I was the one who buried them, I just hate seeing my only son questioning me over some dead within this terrible condition," he said while he glances at me.

I nodded answering him.

As he carried me home. I kept on thinking about my first mate. I did not think she was drowned. If it were so it would have affected my breathing. What I felt tonight was her being tied up and abused, but who could have done so to such a young child? I thought angrily. My mind suddenly went onto their parents curiously if they were the ones who killed their child and later committed suicide, but why?

"You're home," my father said pushing the front door.

As soon as the door open, I saw my Luna, Talia ran towards me worried with tears within her eyes.

"I was so worried about you babe," she said as she cried.

"Your mate is fine now," my father said to my Luna.

"I'll see you tomorrow," I told my father goodbye; wanting him to leave now.

He stared within my eyes, at my mate and again returned them to me.

"Thank you for being a part of the little fight tonight, you fought well," I told my father not wanting Talia to know the true reason why I was hurt.

My father nodded and returned to his home, closing the door behind him.

My Luna cried hated seeing the terrible condition I was in. I turned towards her and held her face, not in so much pain anymore.

"Remember no matter what fight I am in; I will always return to you for I am the most powerful alpha, Anton Bate," I reminded my beautiful blue eye, Luna.

She touched my hands against her face and slowly pushed her body towards me, hugging me happily.

"I know you will," she said softly as she hugged me.

Talia then moved away from me.

"Let's change your clothes," she said as she helped me upstairs.

Soon we were in our large bedroom. She helped me onto the side of the bed to sit and hurriedly went for long dark pants and a white thin shirt to put on. I took off my blue shirt as she came close to me. Talia lowers herself to me and kissed my forehead softly before putting on my shirt.

"If I lose you, I don't know what I'll do," she said.

"I'll always be here with you," I told her with a smile.

She returned my smile and started to put on my shirt. Talia gently pushed me onto the bed and started to take off my pant revealing my manhood and completed putting on my entire clothes. I fixed myself onto the bed and watched her as she went into the bathroom in putting away the dirty clothes covered in dust from the floor of the cell. My mind again went on my first mate eager for answers. I was dying for answers. The story my father told me about her was not enough nor did I think it was true. I had to find out the truth.

"Let's get some sleep, tomorrow I am going to make you forget this horrible night," my Luna told me as she exits the bathroom and laid next to me, wrapping her arms around me.

I returned her hug and watched her as she closed her eyes tiredly falling off to sleep. No, I thought angrily as I watched my beautiful blond hair Luna sleeping so peacefully within my arms. I no longer was interested in finding out the truth about my first mate. She was dead and I had to move on with my mate, Talia. It was better that way. Still, worries swept over me that after experience a great connection with someone else, things between me and my Luna will change tonight, which somehow scares me. I gently pulled her small body to me wanting her to be closer; her head touches my chin. I was now worried I may lose my love for her.
