Chapter 3 POVERTY STRICKEN

The next day Krystal woke up very early, cleaned herself very well. She picked a pair of blue faded jeans and a neat white t-shirt; just looking at them she shook her head. How could a child from such a rich family be this poor?

Even the clothes were worse than the ones she wore when she was staying with Portia. Krystal finished the fruits she left the previous day, with the energy that she had, she could stay like this until noon.

She picked up her things and checked out of the motel after paying another E$200 for the night. She was left with just an amount below a thousand and that wasn't even enough for a plane ticket.

Seeing how poverty-stricken she was, Krystal decided to take the bus. She was currently in Dielas City and it was part of the top twenty cities in Edji, the country where she was born and raised for both lives.

In her previous life, she lived in the city of Frey and she had hidden her money in three different towns and it was going to take her roughly three days to get what she wanted.

Her first destination was a small village where she had kept something very important. After paying the bus fare to the nearest town before the village, Krystal settled herself and rested all the way. She arrived at the small town in the afternoon, bought some noodles, and filled her stomach.

She found another taxi that took her to the small village and the whole journey took an hour. She looked at the temple she had last visited two and half years ago. It was a good thing that the temple was intact otherwise this was going to be her end.

She walked into the temple and paid her respects. After that, she made her way to the cemetery. She found the grave she had been visiting for years. She placed the bouquet she had picked on her way to the temple. She couldn't afford to buy them after all.

"This will be the last time that I visit you. I will be very busy from now on and I hope that you will rest in peace," Krystal spoke as she touched the tombstone.

She sighed as she wipes away the tears that were threatening to come out. It was time for her to move on, she had already grieved enough. Krystal picked up the flower pot that was placed on the tombstone, she put her fingers inside and a smile surfaced on her face.

She found the keys she had placed in the flower pot years ago. Luckily no one bothered to steal the pot otherwise it would have been troublesome.

After retrieving the three keys that were essential to her future development, she left the temple once more and quickly climbed down the mountain. She didn't want to remain in the village any longer, so she found transport back to the town where she visited the train station first.

She smiled as she saw the locker intact. There were not many people around so she simply took out one of the keys, she was nervous and excited at the same time.

She unlocked the locker and a bright smile appeared on her face. The bag was still inside and in the same position that she had left it. She quickly took the bag and left the station. She checked into a motel and got herself another ordinary room.

She locked the door tightly before she sat on the bed and opened the first bag. She threw the contents of the bag on the bed and a creepy smile showed on her face.

When she breathed her last, she had regretted not giving the money to her brother. At least he would have lived well with no worries. She had kept all this money out where none of her colleagues will think of it because she was sure that she was going to get released and when she does, she will live a new life.

But then she was killed by jelly that she loved a lot only to reincarnate in the body of Krystal, how can she not be excited when counting so much money?

It took her a while to finish counting the money and it was E$3, 5 million. She still had two more bags like this. Finally, she picked the small black pouch that had been well hidden in the bag. She opened it and poured the contents on the bed with a smile. She had always loved sparkly things and seeing these diamonds, she felt at ease.

Back then she had turned her savings into diamonds, there were easy to keep at least for her than to keep money in a bank account. After checking that the diamonds were all there, she felt at ease however one problem had arisen. How was she supposed to travel with so much money on her?

If she were to get attacked, she will surely not be able to keep anything including her life. She felt so depressed but that didn't last long when she thought about her new cheat.

She quickly entered the mall and noticed that the treasury hall had opened. She went inside and noticed that there wasn't much being sold except for two services.

She looked at the services and she was excited. One was a storage warehouse she could use to store whatever she wanted, by using this warehouse she could be relieved since it would be much safer than keeping anything out.

The second service was the virtual bank services. With this service, she was able to open an untraceable bank account, with this account she could deposit and transfer money easily.

For a child like her currently who was fresh out of juvie and out of job, if she suddenly had millions in her account then it would surely be suspicious.

Krystal looked at the amount needed for her to start using the services and it was affordable. She needed three crystals to use the services, one for the warehouse and two for the backing services. Because she was already in possession of the money, the wallet balance of the system had already recorded that she had a total of 3,5 crystals.

So, Krystal paid for the crystals needed for her to use the services. She opened the bank account and there was a record of zero in her balance. The money she earns through selling via the mall will be automatically be deposited into the bank account and she could transfer it in the real world at ease.

The money she earns was totally different from the crystals that she earns. For every million she earns, she will receive a crystal. So, in the end, she will be having a million dollars in her bank account and a crystal in her wallet.

She could be rich in both worlds and what more could she ask for? She took five thousand from the bag and placed it into her satchel. She was going to use this money during her

She placed the rest of the money in the warehouse as well as the diamonds. The diamonds will surely be a hard nut when it comes to selling but she was going to deal with it when the time comes.

She went out to find herself something to eat. For the first time after her reincarnation, she bought a decent meal. She stuffed herself until she couldn't eat anything anymore. After the satisfactory meal, she returned to the motel, washed up, and had a good night's rest.

The following two days she was busy collecting the remaining bags of money which she stored safely in her warehouse. She returned to the treasury hall and smiled when she saw a new function that had just popped up.

She could sell the diamonds via the hall and earn a lot of money from them. This was so exciting but she was not in any hurry. She wanted to check the rates and if it was possible for her to sell them in the real world without any complications.

Her system wallet had a total of 7, 5 crystals, and the rest of the stores had opened too. She didn't have time to explore them much, so she decided to return back to Dielas. It was time for her to face some of her demons. She needed to find a good school to enroll in and finish half of the mission and earn herself the nourishing pills.
