Chapter 7 Ep 7

We keep busy ourselves with assignments and drawing projects on that day. Since Mylene doesn't know how to draw, I draw her project.

At four o'clock I took shower then Mylene. We dress a formal dress for a party tonight.

"Am I good look at this dress?"Mylene asked.

" Yeah," I replied. I comb my hair and put baby powder on my face and neck.

We hailed a taxi at 5:30 pm.

"Maybe Marites is waiting there, do you think?" I asked Mylene.

"Maybe, I texted her already that we are on our way. I asked her also if she is already at the church." Mylene said.

"So, what she did reply?" I asked.

"She did not yet reply...oh! There is a message maybe it's her." Mylene said. Her message tone rang.

"She is on the way to the chapel. She will wait for us at the gate." Mylene said.

"Okay," I reply.

Marites is already at the gate expecting us to come when we arrive.

"Hey, I thought you would never come." She said and we do cheeks to cheeks greeting.

"We thought it first but this is the opportunity to attend the party with you. It's boring if we only study in the house and never put spices of life." Mylene said.

"You are right, Myles. So it is a good thing you decide. Hey, my cousin will be here tonight. Hello, Elaida." Maritess said and greeted me.

"Hello," I smile and greeted her, too. She whispered something to Mylene's ear.

"Oh, really? That is good." Mylene said. I was curious about what Marites told her but it is not the right time to ask Mylene about it.

"Come in inside." Marites invited us. We saw that the folks are preparing food they contributed. And the young generation especially men set up the small stage. The group of people is chatting while waiting for the party to start.

"Is your cousin is on the way?" Mylene asked Marites.

"Yes. He will come soon." Marites replied.

Let's go and get some refreshments." Marites said.

"Later. You can go first. We wi wait for you here." Mylene said.

"Okay," Marites turned around and the go-ahead to the cocktails.

"What did she whisper to you a while ago?" I whispered.

"She said that his cousin will introduce us to the men's choir because he is closed with them," Mylene replied in a whisper, too.

"Oh!" I gasp covering my mouth. Mylene is grinning. Then I smile.

"Wow! That is totally awesome!" I said.

We saw the men's choir group and a lot of their female fans giggled. I unconsciously looked at the man in the middle. It was staring at me. It is Leandro. His eyes were fixed at me. I felt goosebumps and a sensation that I couldn't put a name on it. I suddenly turned my gaze to refreshment.

"Come, Mylene. Let's go and get juices. I am thirsty." I said.

"Okay," Mylene said. I don't know if Mylene saw them but I don't want to tell her because I felt Leandro's eyes are watching every move I make so I was confused and uncomfortable with the unnamed sensation. I tried Mylene so I asked her.

"Do you think the men's choir is already here?" I asked innocently.

"I think so. Because it sox o'clock now and the party will start at seven o'clock." Mylene said. Good thing that she didn't notice them because Mylene will see also Leandro staring at me.

We get the juice.

"What will you do if your crush introduces you?" I asked Mylene.

"Well, I will smile at him and maybe talk with him," Mylene replied.

"Oh, okay," I said.

"How about you?" She asked.

"Well, I don't know yet. I'll cross the bridge when we get there." I said.

"Ob, they are here," Mylene whispered to me as she sipped her juice.

"Where?" I asked innocently.

"Look at your right. Look at them not obviously." She whispered and I did what she said.

The men's choir is chatting with girls. But the boys are looking at us, the crush of Mylene and Leandro.

"Did you see them?" Mylene whispered to me.

"Yes, I saw them," I said and I get a cheese stick and munched it to ease my tension.

"My crush and Leandro are looking in our direction. They looking at us." Mylene said.

"Oh, is that so?" I asked.

"Yes did you not see it?" She said.

"Not really," I pretended.

"I hope Marites's cousin is here already," Mylene said.

"Heu, speaking of Marites, where she is?" I asked.

"Over there." She pointed in Marites's direction.

"Why not go with her and ask about her cousin?" I asked.

"Oh, good idea. Come on." She said. And we go to Marites.

"Hi, Marites," Mylene said.

"Hey, Mylene! Elaida! My cousin is already here...wait he was just invited by a couple of girls a while before. Let us wait for him." Marites said enthusiastically.

"Oh, no problem," I said.

"It's okay," Mylene replied. We secretly glanced at each other.

"Oh, there he is. He is coming here!" Marites said. We look at the tall man who is walking towards us.

"Hi, cousin. Are they your friends?" The man said to Marites.

"Yes, this is Mylene and this is Elaida. Girls this Mark, my cousin." Marites introduce us to his cousin.

"Hey, there is somebody I want to introduce to you cousin, you two can join," Mark said.

"Okay, let's go, Mark. Come on girls." Marites said. She winked at us. We followed Mark and we strode towards the men's choir group.

"Hi, Mark!" The group greeted him.

"Hi, brothers! How's the night?" Mark said.

"Obviously we are waiting to start the party." One said.

"Where are the others? Why you are only five here?" Mark asked.

"They are inside the chapel." Said the other one.

"Oh, by the way, I want to introduce to you my cousin and her friends," Mark said.

"This is Marites, my cousin." Mark introduces Marites.

"Hello," Marites said smiling.

"And they are her friends: Mylene and Elaida," Mark said.

"Hi!" We said in unison.
