Chapter 3 "Ashely" First day back from break"

Ashely P.O.V.

Once I pulled up at the school. I parked in the school parking lot.

I turn off my car. But I was still shaking up what happened back there outside my house, where Jayson Woods was staring over at me.

I can still feel his heated eyes on me. Today was different. He usually goes out of his way to make my day a living hell. But nothing happens.

Oh, please don't fall for it, Ashely, my inner voice says.

I heard her say in my head. I know it wasn't Envy.

She has been ignoring me now.

I am not!" I heard her say offended.

I wanted to laugh. But instead. I pulled my keys out, and I started to grab my things in the front seat.

Once I got everything ready. I opened the door, but I was starting to get out. I heard a slammed. Oh God, I jumped. Because before I place my feet outside the door. Someone slammed it shut.

What the hell! I thought. So, I am looking around for the asshole that shut my door-and trying to hurt me. That was when I saw who did it. I heard laughter. So, childish people can be. I thought with an eye roll.

Oh, I should have known. It would be him.

"He is such an asshole!" I mumbled under my breath.

Just ignore him, Ashely. Just get out of the car. Keep your chin up. Don't let him and the others get to you. You're going to open your car door.

Then you are going to walk with your head held high.

I was telling myself and trying not to get upset and react.

I got a badass temper. So, I need to calm down because I need to save for the fight this weekend.

So, that is what I did. My mom always said. When a boy teases you, that means they like you.

If this is how the boys show you they like you, Wow, I wonder if the boys hate you look like then.

I started walking away towards the school steps.

I was almost to the top of the steps. That was when I heard someone behind me yelling out my name.

"Ashely!" I heard someone saying my name behind me.

I stopped and turned around, seeing my girls walking towards me-Avery, Natalie, and Emilia.

Hey, girls." I say with a smile on my face.

Hey, how's everything with your mom," I heard Avery ask me.

I told my friends that my mom has cancer.

They have been there for me the whole time. I am thankful for them.

I thank you, girls." I told them. Their kind words touched me.

I love my friends.

"Come on, let's get inside before we get another detention, Ashely." I heard Natalie say I heard Avery and Emilia laugh.

Hey, I got detention because I was taking up for myself

, you girls." I said, pointing at Avery and Natalie.

I saw Emilia drop her head. Damn it! I have a big mouth.

Why can I not keep my mouth shut?

Hey Emilia, I am sorry I didn't mean it that way," I tell her. She stops me.

" It's okay, and I deserve it. I was a bitch to you girls, "

"I could never forgive myself what I did to you guys," Emilia said with guilt all over her face. I wasn't going to speak. Because every time I open up my mouth. I got to stop making people feel like crap and awful. I need to stop speaking up in the past.

"Hey now! Come on, girls, let's forget the past." Avery grabbed around our shoulders, and we kept walking inside the school.

I had one thought inside my mind.

I hope today goes well for my friends and me.

We are still the outcast, and Emilia is one of us now.

She used to be with the popular crowd. She said she always hated it because they would tell her what to do. As a result, she could not do what she always wanted to do. That is drawing and writing poems.

I saw her artwork; it is beautiful, and her poems are lovely. She has a talent. I hope she keeps doing it.

I am glad we are friends again, Emila and me.

I smiled at her. I was telling her with my expression on my face I forgive her. We all did.

She needs to stop feeling guilty. She needs to forgive herself.

I was going to tell her. But Avery beat me to it.

" Emila, my sister. Please stop it. You need to forgive yourself." She told her. The reason why she said my sister is because Jake is Avery's mate. So, his Emilia big brother. No, they are not twins. She is just smart and got to be in the same grade as us. So, that's why she said, sister. So, she is a senior, just like the rest of us.

Emilia, listen to her, but I can see she still needs time to forgive herself.

Once I am at my locker. I didn't want to be here today. I just wanted to stay home and sleep all day.

But I knew if I missed school. My parents would be angry at me.

So, I went today.

I started opening up my locker when I saw Jayson Woods in the corner of my eyes. I saw him with two bimbos all over him.

He was touching one, and the other one he was kissing her.

Oh, God, I am going to be sick. He is such a man-whore, asshole, and player. He likes to play girls' hearts.

I will not be one of the girls who drop to her knees every time he tells me. So, he will never treat like his slave and slut. So, the girls he has sex with are just a body he can screw.

So, I am not going to be on his bedpost.

I will have to stay away from him until the fight is over until I win all the money, I need for my mother's operation to get rid of cancer in her body.
