Chapter 2 Witch

Ae Ri's POV

I woke up panting heavily with beads of sweat on my forehead. I haven't had any nightmare ever since the death of my parents so why did I have one now.

I don't even understand the dream I had, it would have been much better if I understood.

I lay back on my bed but I couldn't close my eyes because of how scared I was. I clutched the sheets tightly with my eyes wide open till it was 6am.

I quickly got down from my bed and switched on the lights. I prepared my bath myself without waiting for the maids and in no time, I was seated in the bath tub.

After bathing, I left the bathroom and went to my room to dress for school. It was when I was dressing that the maids just came in.

"Good morning young miss" they greeted bowing their heads

"Morning" I answered not sparing them a glance

"Gosh!! She's just too rude, do we look like her mate?" I heard in my head

I turned back to look at the maids and I saw their heads were still bowed

That voice sounded like that of the head maid but she wouldn't dare say a thing like that to my face, what's going on?

I took my eyes back to my lotion and continue applying it on my body.

"Just the lotion she's using is enough to feed thirty children throughout a week" I heard again

I looked back at the maids but it didn't look like anyone of them said anything so I decided to face them to see if they're playing a prank on me.

"Why is she staring at us like that? Does she wants to kill us the same way she killed her parents?" I heard in my head again

"Leave the room" I said slowly trying to be as calm as possible

"Y... Young...."

"Now!!!!!" I screamed

They scurried out and closed the door behind them.

What's wrong with me? All the things I heard just now, where did they come from? Can I now read minds?

No, no that's not it! I've been thinking too much lately. That's why I had a nightmare and that's why this is happening. I have to stop thinking now.

I wore my uniform and picked up my back heading downstairs.

I sat in the dining room and was about eating the bread and tea when I heard something.

"She definitely doesn't know that this would be her last meal. Just a sip of the tea and she's gone" I heard the head maid's voice in my head

Are they planning to kill me through poison? I stood up abruptly and just left the house.

Different thoughts clouded my mind as I was seated in the car going to school. How come I can hear what is going on through people's mind?

That's not supposed to be possible right? But if it's not possible, what's the meaning of those things I've been hearing since I woke up?

I guess I'll find out when I get to school. I will see if I'm able to read the mind of the students before concluding in anything.

Few minutes later, we arrived at my school and I got down from the car and walked to class.

As usual, everyone cleared the way for me and I just walked to class but not before hearing the thought of one of the students.

"She's just too full of herself. I'm sure she killed her parents so she can have all their wealth to herself. Witch!!"

I stopped and stared at the girl. When she noticed me staring at her, she became scared and quickly bowed her head.

It means I heard right and yes, I can read minds. I think I'm done for!!

So everyone of them think I killed my parents, but why? Why will I kill the people I love so much when I'm not insane?

I took my eyes away from the girl and walked to my class. When I got in, I met the new transfer student and it's like I felt a connection with him.

I stared at him for a while before sitting down.

"Why did she come early today? Gosh!! Her arrogant behaviour disgusts me a lot" he said and I don't know why, but I felt a sting in my heart

"I just wish she leaves this school and never returns" he said in his mind again

"Can you please just stop it? Your thoughts are too loud" I said trying as much as possible not to show my emotions when I couldn't take it anymore

He raised his head and stared at me wide eyed

"Are you talking to me?" he asked pointing at himself but I just nodded my head

"You read minds?" he asked but I kept quiet and just brought out one of my books to read

Ye Jun's POV

I stared at the girl seated not too far from me. Is she human? Nah, I doubt that!

How will she be able to read someone else's mind if she's not supernatural? I stared at her quietly for a while before leaving the class.

I went to the library and pondered over what I just encountered few minutes ago.

"If she's not human, then what is she?" I asked myself a question which I had no answer to over and over again

After signing in frustration for a while, I stood up and began searching for books about supernatural in the library. Why didn't I think of it earlier?

I searched and searched until I finally found one. It looked old and rough probably because no one is interested in it.

I took it and went back to where I sat before opening the books.

The first one I came across was vampires.

They're known to be blood sucking creatures and I know that too but I never believed they exist.

I searched for their characteristics and it wasn't long before I found the one that said they read minds.

If this is true, does that mean Ae Ri is a vampire? If she's one, it means she sucks blood?

I gasped in shock and covered my mouth with my palm as realization dawned on me. I can't just concluded yet, let me check other supernatural.

I opened to the next page and found werewolves. I got interested in werewolves at a time and searched for everything about them but I don't think I saw anything that has to do with mind reading. Checking it once more won't hurt.

I read the characteristics from the beginning to the end but I didn't see anyone that said they could read thoughts.

The only thing I saw was that they could read the thoughts of their pack members whenever they're in their wolf form.

I opened to the next page and saw mermaids. I've never liked mermaids from the start and I don't know why.

I wanted to open another page but I decided to check the mermaid out first. I checked the characteristics but I didn't see anything about reading of minds so I moved on to the next one. I shouldn't have wasted my time.

I checked the last one there and found witches. Witches have always been known to be very powerful and I also knew that before.

If Ae Ri is a witch, then we're done for. But she doesn't look like a witch to me.

"Can you recognize a witch?" my subconscious mocked

I can't recognize a witch but her behaviour is supposed to be different if she's a witch.

So it means she's either a vampire or a witch but none of them suits her. She's really gentle and quiet. Although, she's rude and arrogant but I still don't think she can be a vampire or witch.

Ahh!!! I'm going crazy! I think I'm going to change school because I can't be in the same class with a strange person that can kill me within few seconds.

I'm really scared now.

"Mom, I don't want to be in this school anymore" I said within me as I left the library
