Chapter 7 Stay in My Arms

Sheldon slowed the vehicle down as it entered the villa area.

Kevin and the others thought Sheldon would pull up the car in front of their house as they had to talk to Christine about the divorce.

However, the vehicle passed by them and did not stop.

Sheldon ignored them completely!

Though the Lee Family and the Collins Family were quite close to each other, Sheldon did not give a damn about Kevin and the others.

Eventually, the vehicle pulled up in front of Villa No.16.

Christine pushed the car door open, intending to get off.

Just then, Sheldon said in a mellow voice, "Don't move!"

Christine sat still, wondering what the man was going to do.

Sheldon got out of the driver's seat, opened the door for Christine, and carried her out of the car.

Christine widened her eyes in shock.

What did this mean?

"If you don't want to be bullied, stay in my arms." Sheldon's deep voice sounded in her ears.

Christine had no idea what the man was doing. However, she somehow felt secure in his arms and believed he would not hurt her. Therefore, she stopped struggling and kept motionless.

At this moment, Kevin and the others rushed over to them. Seeing Sheldon carrying Christine out of the vehicle, they were shocked.

Sheldon actually carried Christine out of the car.

Impossible! It must be a hallucination.

They rubbed their eyes and reopened them to find that what they had seen was real.

At this moment, Mr. Wilson, the butler of the Collins Family, walked over. After casting a glance at Sheldon, he walked up to Hank and the others, asking, "What can I do for you, Mr. Lee? What has brought you guys here?"

They then came to their senses and looked embarrassed.

Clare, Kevin's mother, nerved herself to say, "Mr. Collins. Christine is still part of our family. She should go back to our house."

Sheldon raised his brows and looked at Christine, asking, "They want you to go over there. Do you want to?"

Without sparing those people a glance, Christine stared at Sheldon, answering, "No, I don't."

Sheldon then shotted a glance at Kevin and the others with a helpless expression on his face. In those people's eyes, Sheldon was making a pet of the woman.

Kevin said, "Christine, we've agreed that we'll go through the divorce papers once you got discharged from the hospital. Even if you're going to live with Mr. Collins, you have to get rid of the identity of my wife first, right?"

It seemed that Sheldon liked Christine a lot. Thus, Kevin wanted to divorce the woman as soon as possible to show his sincerity in his promise to quit the game.

Christine kept silent. Kevin thought she was feeling distressed and reluctant to divorce. Therefore, he waited with patience.

To his surprise, Christine suddenly lifted her head to look at Kevin and the others and raised one hand to touch her belly.

She curled up her lips slightly and said in a soft voice, "I'm pregnant with Mr. Collins' child. What reason can stop me from moving in with him?"

She was acutely aware that Kevin wanted to divorce her.

It was not that easy!

To a calculating man like Kevin, who had hurt her badly, Christine had decided to make him suffer before the divorce.

Kevin turned pale and then red. He wondered if Sheldon and Christine had long been hooking up with each other, and that if his plans had only helped them fulfill their wishes.

At this moment, Clare roared, "Christine, you're still Kevin's wife, but you're shamelessly throwing yourself into Mr. Collins's arms. Aren't you afraid that others will laugh at you for your cheeky behavior?" The scene before her eyes made Clare feel uncomfortable all over.

Pointing an angry finger at Christine, Clare continued, "Get off Mr. Collins! Go and divorce Kevin right now. I want you to leave the Lee Family with nothing in hand!"

"Nothing in hand?" Christine cast a careless glance at those people and then fixed her eyes on Kevin, saying, "It's fine for me to get the divorce, but I'm afraid I won't leave with nothing in hand."

She continued, "Actually, I don't want a lot. Suppose you promise me two houses within the third ring road of the city and twenty million yuan. In that case, I'll divorce Kevin at any time."
