Chapter 5 Are You Waiting for Me to Kiss You

Staring at Christine, Sheldon let out a soft sigh. In a seemingly helpless and somewhat sarcastic tone, he said, "Seriously, your newly-married husband has sent you to another male's bed. And you're still unwilling to divorce him? Don't you think that you are kind of stupid?"

Stupid? She was stupid, indeed, wasn't she?

She met Kevin when they were in college, and he started courting her in her freshman year. She thought her family was too poor to match the Lee Family. Therefore, she studied extremely hard so that she could find a decent job after graduating from university.

She did not nod to be Kevin's girlfriend until she had found a job after graduation.

After that, she worked hard to stand out from her peers and eventually became her company's planning director. Her motivation was to stand on the same level as Kevin and not be looked down upon by his parents.

In her eyes, two persons in a marriage should be evenly matched to prevent their relationship from being ruined.

Kevin had actually sold her out like she was a commodity.

Christine said with self-mockery, "I've paid everything for this marriage. How can I let it go so easily? How can I surrender submissively?"

Kevin had taken advantage of her to get the position of the general manager. If Christine divorced him, he would certainly marry Lora, which was also one of his wishes.

Sheldon raised his brows and then asked, "You deserve someone better. If you're going to trap yourself in this terrible relationship for a lifetime, how can you get a nicer marriage?"

After a short pause, he continued, "Besides, you're pregnant with my child. How are you going to do with that?"

Christine said, "I'll get rid of the kid!"

"It's Kevin's plan to make you pregnant with my child. If you get rid of it, do you think you'll be tolerated in the Lee Family?"

"Also, I can notify all the hospitals and doctors to not help you get a surgical abortion at any time. Do you think anyone dares to go against my will? The child in your belly is the little prince or prince of the Collins Group."

Christine asked furiously, "What the hell do you want?"

Sheldon answered, "What I want is easy. Divorce Kevin! I'll marry you, and you'll give birth to the child!"

"Besides, your husband and half-sister treated you like that, how are you going to avenge yourself if you don't marry me? Do you think they will make things easier for you? They'll announce to the outside that you've cheated on your husband, ruin your reputation, then destroy the child in your belly, and throw you into despair."

After a pause, Sheldon slightly raised his brows and continued to urge the woman by saying, "Becoming the wife of your ex-husband's boss might feel good. Don't you think so?"

Christine was startled. Kevin had been bold and ruthless enough to send her to Sheldon's bed. If she did not divorce him, he would certainly do even crazier things to her.

Sheldon's analysis was peremptorily right.

Marrying him was the best and only way out for Christine.

Witnessing the subtle changes in the woman's expression, Sheldon sat up, took her cell phone, and entered his number into it.

"This is my private number. Call me when you think it through."

With that, he got up to leave. Christine reached out and grabbed his wrist. "No need. I can tell you the answer right now. I will divorce Kevin and marry you, but I have conditions."

From the countryside to where she was, Christine had never been an indecisive woman. Both of the pros and cons of this matter were apparent before her eyes, she had nothing to be hesitant about.

"Conditions? Well, fair enough. Marrying me is probably your best chance to obtain what you want. So, think about the conditions thoroughly."

"You!" Christine released the man's wrist with anger, "I don't want anything from you. Let's be clear. After the baby is born, we'll divorce. During the period, we won't share the same bedroom or bed."

"Well, I need to think about it. After all, marriage is different from business."

"If you disagree, I won't divorce Kevin and marry you."

"Are you threatening me?"

"Yes, I am."

"It seems that I have no choice but to say yes, for the sake of my child."

Sheldon put on a helpless expression. Christine was somewhat surprised to see the different side of the legendary businessman.

At this moment, Sheldon suddenly moved his face closer to the woman. His warm breathing made her heart pound violently. Just as she wanted to say something, the man chuckled.

He stroked Christine's tip of the nose, asking, "What are you thinking? Are you waiting for me to kiss you?"

Christine blushed all over and did not know what to say.

Unexpectedly, Sheldon tilted his head to kiss the woman on her mouth.
