Chapter 8 A Family

The next morning, Taylor and Simon went to the TV station with the biding documents and met the chief director of the TV Art Festival.

"When I received the bidding materials, I couldn't even believe my eyes. It's really you, Simon." The chief director looked at Simon and smiled.

As he said, his eyes fixed on Taylor's face, and he looked at her from head to toe, calmly, "This is?"

"Uncle Green, this is my assistant in the studio, Taylor Wood." Simon couldn't figure out what Director Green was thinking about, so he introduced the director with a bright smile and waved his hand. The director greeted them to sit down, "Simon, it's been a long time. Come here; we have so much catching up to do."

"Director Green, President Kint, I will send the documents upstairs first and leave you some space to talk?" Taylor curled her lips and looked at the two people, smiling generously, which made people feel comfortable.

Simon thought that Uncle Green should have something to say to himself, so he nodded, "Okay, don't get lost."

"..." Taylor still smiled, but silently rolled her eyes in her heart.

She might not tell the directions, but she wasn't a fool who could easily get herself lost, okay?

After she closed the door and left, Director Green pouted his mouth and raised his eyebrows, saying, "It is because of her that you refused to go back and work in your family's company?"

"Of course not." Simon smiled and stroked his nose, "We have my big brother in the HX Group. As a layman who studies design, I don't even know what position is suitable for me if I go back. Instead of making trouble, I'd better do something I like."

"Really?" Director Green smiled in disbelief, "Then explain, when did you become such a sweet man? I remember you used to--"

"Uncle Green, don't make fun of me with what I had done when I was just a kid." Simon hurriedly bowed his hands to beg for mercy, "I will bring two bottles of good wine another day, and have a few drinks with you. How does that sound?"

"Sounds good! Come with your brother then." Director Green slapped on his fist and laughed out loud, "Seriously, if you really like that girl, confess to her and take her home early. I say she is the kind that your daddy and mom would like."

"Thank you, Uncle Green." Simon grinned.

Well, at least he wanted to!

When Simon and his uncle had a very good chat, Taylor delivered the bidding documents smoothly.

However, when she just came out of the office of the Bidding Department and turned around, she saw someone staring at her, dumbfounded.

The woman was wearing a beige dress, with the art festival staff's name tag hanging on her chest, holding a few documents in her hand. Her eyes stared at her wide-opened.

"Hello." Taylor greeted the woman with a smile.

The simple word made the woman regain her senses in an instant, but her eyes turned even wider, "Tay, Taylor?"

Hearing this, Taylor raised her eyebrows indifferently. But when she was just about to say something, she was hugged by the woman who suddenly stepped forward.

"Taylor, you are finally back! You are so cruel. For six years, you haven't called me once after you went abroad. Do you know how worried I was?" The woman held her shoulders vigorously, her voice trembling.

"Sorry, are you a friend of mine before?" Taylor pursed the corners of her lips and asked softly.

After her voice fell, the arm around her shoulder suddenly froze.

The woman took a few steps back, staring at her. Her eyebrows furrowed, "Taylor? You-- You can't recognize me?"

"I had an accident abroad six years ago, and I forgot everything in the past." Taylor explained softly, "I'm really sorry that I forgot you."

"Accident? What accident? Was it serious?" When the woman heard it, she ignored the blame but looked at Taylor nervously, her eyes full of anxiety, "I'm such a fool. If you have amnesia, it must be very serious then. What about now? Have you recovered? Except for not remembering what happened before, do you still feel uncomfortable?"

"I'm fully recovered now." Taylor looked at the undisguised distress in her eyes, sweetness filling in her heart.

"That's good to hear." The woman licked the corners of her mouth, "It doesn't matter if you forget me. Let me reintroduce myself. My name is Olivia Miller. I am your classmate, roommate, and good girlfriend at university. If you don't believe me, I can show you the photo stickers we had taken together."

"I believe you." Taylor looked straight into Olivia's eyes and smiled, "Because when you just held me, it made me feel very familiar."

As she said that, a hint of apology flashed across her eyes-"Sorry, Oli, I forgot you once." She thought to herself.

"Of course, you feel that way. I had held you in the school's fun sports meeting before and won first place." Olivia smiled and stepped forward again, hugging the person in front of her, "Taylor, welcome back.

"Thank you, Oli." Taylor raised her hand and patted her shoulder gently.

"You used to call me like that. It's so good to hear it again." Olivia raised her head, the smile on her lips getting brighter.

But a cold voice with complicated emotions interrupted them, "Taylor? When did you come back?"

Hearing the sound, Taylor's eyes suddenly became cold, mixed with winter ice and snow and also strong hatred.

Unconsciously, she clenched her right hand, and her lips pressed tightly.

Two seconds later, when she turned to look at the incoming person, her expression changed into her usual faint smile, "Hello."

"Taylor, you can't recognize me?" Abby stared at her face firmly, as if she wanted to see something from her expression. Even the smile on her lips was noble and proud, with a sense of contempt.

"Taylor, she is your cousin, Abby Wood." Olivia subconsciously moved forward, blocking Taylor behind her.

"Cousin?" Taylor's big eyes were blank, "Really? I don't remember."

"Taylor, it's fine if you forget other irrelevant people, but we are family!" Abby faintly twisted her eyebrows, and then added somewhat helplessness and pampering to her smile, "Fine, I can't blame you for going abroad for fun and making yourself amnesia."

"Going abroad for fun? I'm afraid that Taylor only suddenly went abroad because of you, her family." Olivia snorted coldly and muttered softly.

After the accident that year, Abby's father, Bob Wood, somehow became the heir to the estate. He even took out the so-called posthumous paper.

Later, Taylor went abroad silently.

When she saw the report about the accident from the news, Taylor could not be contacted.

There were things she could say to Taylor, given their previous relationship.

But now, Taylor had forgotten who she was, so Olivia didn't want Taylor to feel that she was instigating her relationship with those so-called family members.

"Taylor, now that you are back, you should go home and visit our family. Mom and Dad have been worried about you in the last few years." Abby looked at her gently, "It's so good to have you back. We can stay together forever."
