Chapter 3 Prophecy of the Mystic Lake

"What's with that book," I whispered as I sucked the blood from my injured finger because of the book.

"Ms. Anderson, it looks like your friend went home first,"

"I let her leave first because I still need to check some books in the library," I answered Mr. Conor and continued my walk.

"Is that so? Anyway, I told you earlier ... I missed telling you one thing," Conor says while walking along.

Do you mean the prophecy? Is there anything else? "Glimmering, I inquire. Although I don't believe in witches and prognosis, I'm still curious about it.

"The chosen one is already born, and darkness will also arise with the awakening of power," Conor states.

"Wooh, wait! Mr. Conor, I'm happy for your help, but the thing is-I dont believe in a prophecy or witches. So, please dont tell me that the world will end," I state and get on my bike.

"Ha Ha Ha, in no time you'll come to me and ask about the prophecy," Conor declared, smirking while waving.

"I didn't know Mr. Conor loved to joke,"

I shook my head as I peddled my bike faster.

The black fog was slowly flying and circling the entirety of the library until it stopped and surrounded the unconscious Prof. Carol Villar, busy with her papers.

"Prof. Villar, I'll go home first," The librarian said before walking out the door.

Carol was engrossed in her reading when suddenly the light turned off.

"What the-hello, I'm still here! "She announces, But no one answered. So annoyed that Carol stood up to turn on the switch by herself.

She returned to the table when the light went out again, so Carol quickly turned around.

But the irritation on her face instantly disappeared, seeing the black mist floating, which was the reason for the off and on of the lights.

(I can smell the loneliness greediness in you.)

Carol looks around to find the owner of the cold voice.

(Hmm, a selfish and arrogant-an attitude that suits me well.)

"Who are you? If you are one of my students fooling around, I will make sure you regret it because I will fail you in all my subjects! "Carol exclaimed and backed away, seeing the black smoke change position, and it was slowly approaching her. Only then did she realize that it was not the student's work.

"No..." Stay away! Help! Help! "'Caroline shouted while running on the shelves, and there-she hid.

What's that thing? What is going on? "Carol murmured while trembling in fear." She's in that situation for a few minutes before peeking again.

Carol breathed a sigh of relief, seeing that the mist was gone, so she stood up and walked to the door- no longer see the smoke that suddenly appeared and quickly flew towards her.

Ian Daniel hurriedly walked to the room where the coven council meeting would be held.

"What is this emergency meeting for? "I asked as he entered.

One of the council members responded by displaying the gleaming crystal.

Seriously? Damn it!!! Then the dreaded doomsday is imminent ?!" Ian couldn't help but curse.

If the prophecy comes true, disaster will befall his leadership.

"We still don't know what the real prophecy is. "The only thing we know is to find the child," says the only thing we can do.

And how do we find out? Don't we know anything about the child? "Ian replied.

"Ian, as soon as you accept the leadership, your power will be complete, and you will easily recognize the child in the prophecy,"

"What if the prophecy comes first before I receive my full power?"

One of the council members answered, "Things that are set to happen will happen... and we can do nothing to stop them."

"No way! I won't just wait. Tell me, where did you feel the power?" Ian asked.

The councilors looked at each other before answering Ian's question.

"The unusual power was felt at the university,"

"University? The Nashville University?" Ian repeated.

"As we felt the power, we also felt dark energy. That's why we've included you in this meeting- You need to find the source of the dark power,"

Ian cursed secretly as he clenched his fist.

"Then cancel my entry into Hoggard School this year because I'm going to Nashville University," Ian announced.

After some essential conversations, Ian left again to go home. He just arrived in this town this morning, and some circumstances occurred on his way.

The only consolation I got is that girl named Jaymie Claire Anderson, "he utters while driving.

(He reached the villa owned by his ancestor.)

"Master Gabriel, welcome back,"

Ian Daniel smiled and hugged the butler, Dante. "It's good to see you," he uttered.

(They walk inside the house.)

"How's your trip?

"Interesting," Ian mysteriously replied, with Jaymie Claire in mind.

"And when did you become interested in normal travel? Usually, you teleport when you come here,"

"Well, I have no choice ... My power is restrained until my birthday,"

"Doing normal things in a normal way is good sometimes,"

(They go to the kitchen for dinner.)

"Well, now that I have to go to the school for normal people, I'm not sure if what you're saying is okay,"

Dante didn't say a word and just smiled as he set dinner on the table.

After the meal, Ian Daniel went to his room.

"Let's see if the prophecy they're referring to is written in my great grandfather's record," he utters and turns the lion's head.

(The wall at the far end of his room opens, and a secret tunnel emerges.)

Before going inside the secret room, Ian Daniel uttered some incantation, and in a second, a light ball appeared in his palm.
