Chapter 5 Beat Her Up

Poof...

As Mary was slapped, the children of Talbot, especially their youngest daughter, Mandy Yeates, tittered behind their hands.

Sitting cross-legged on the sofa, Mandy looked on calmly. Her seductive eyes were filled with excitement.

One year younger than Mary, she was known as an arrogant princess.

Covering her face, Mary raised her head and glanced at the gray-haired woman. Biting her cherry lips, she forced out a word from her clenched teeth, "Grandma?"

"Don't call me grandma."

Senior Mistress Yeates was full of disgust, "The company belongs to Talbot. Sign the letter of equity transfer, or get the hell out of Yeates Family!"

Upon hearing that, Mary somehow laughed, "The company belongs to my parents. Since when it becomes the property of Talbot? Now that my parents left the company to me, it is mine. I will not give anything of mine up to others!"

"The company was passed on from your grandfather. It belongs to your parents, Talbot and Lynn. In the future, it will belong to your cousin. You have no say here!"

Senior Mistress Yeates might be senile but was still overbearing. Without the slightest lament over her deceased children, she was obsessed with fighting for the family property.

"Yeates Group was on the verge of bankruptcy. It was my maternal grandfather who provided the working capital and my parents who contributed to the company. Without them, Yeates Group wouldn't have survived and thrived. Therefore, grandpa put my parents in the helm. Half of Yeates Group belongs to my maternal grandpa, so it is certainly mine."

"Nonsense, Yeates Group has nothing to do with outsiders. How dare you unfilial girl talk back? I'll beat the hell out of you."

Senior Mistress Yeates was always good at violence. Her granddaughter's refusal to sign the letter of equity transfer instantly angered her. Raising her hand, she slapped at Mary again.

However, Mary was not a lamb to the slaughter and wouldn't suffer another loss.

She stood up and gripped her wrist when a hint of fierceness flashed across her eyes.

"How dare you disobey me, let go of me!" Senior Mistress Yeates shouted angrily.

Talbot roared, "Mary, that is how you treat a senior?"

Taking the chance, the others also began shouting.

"Mary, you are going too far. How dare you fight grandma!"

"Mary, didn't your parents teach you how to conduct yourself when they were alive?"

Some of them even took out their phones to record the scene.

"Let go of grandma."

Flora Yeates, Mandy's elder sister, came downstairs. At the sight of the stalemate, she shouted and hurried over to support Senior Mistress Yeates.

Mandy and others also rushed up. Amid the chaos, someone kicked Senior Mistress Yeates.

The old woman was knocked to the floor with a thud. If she didn't let go in time, Mary would also fell.

Lying on the floor, Senior Mistress Yeates wailed, "This is terrible, horrible. This little bastard fought her grandma for the sake of family property. Ungrateful girl!"

Mary stood by coldly. She was just trying to protect herself. How would she fight a troublesome old lady?

"Go and teach her a lesson. Beat her up!"

Senior Mistress Yeates wouldn't get up from the floor. Pointing at Mary, she gave an order.

Now that the old lady was holding domestic power, those servants and bodyguards rushed up as she ordered.

Mary changed countenance. Picking up a teacup from the table, she tossed at them.

She was all alone after all. Two bodyguards soon subdued Mary and pressed her to the floor.
