Chapter 2 Got bumped into

Chloe ran down to the kitchen again praying that the brownies hadn't gotten burnt but they turned out good just a little crisp. She cut the brownies and wrapped some in tinfoils.Just then, Zach came down the stairs,took a box of cereals and some milk from the fridge into a bowl.

"Hey,don't put too much otherwise you won't have space for the brownies" she said taking her hot cup of coffee from the coffee machine. Since she had spent the night binge watching movie series on Netflix, the coffee would help keep her eyes open and make her active.

"Zack,have you completed your homework" She said putting a large piece of brownie in her mouth.

"Yeah,you've asked me about five times already" Zach said acting a bit annoyed.

"OK,I just wanna be sure" Chloe said thinking of what to keep the conversation going.She hasn't really been close her brother ever since they started moving.Because of it,she was never close to anyone or had friends and it affected her relationship with her brother.She realized that if she isn't close to her,he may become like her,depressed and always keeping to herself.

"So,have you made any friends yet"

"Yeah,her name is Rachel.She has brown eyes and she's really pretty"Zach said with a wide smile on his face.

"Is she nice and do you have any other friends"

"No,she's my only friend,she always stood up for when anyone tries to bully me.She has two bodyguards and they're really cool"

"Thats nice to hear, don't get in too trouble and stay away from bullies"Chloe said then checked her wristwatch for the time.

"Zach,come on let's drop you off at school"She said giving him the wrapped brownies to put in his backpack.They got into their mom's car and drove to school. Chloe had been using her mother's car to drive her and her brother to school despite the constant warnings from her mum.She had to make brownies for her brother several times to keep his mouth shut.

She dropped at Zach at the middle school while she proceeded to hers.She drove into the school gates and packed in the packing space meant for the students. Most of the cars in the parking space were low-key so her mother's car wouldn't be harassed here. Unlike her brother,Chloe hadn't made any friends yet.It wasn't like she didn't want to,she just didn't know how to and didn't know who may want her as a friend.

The school Chloe was attending was Prestige High ,a school meant for children of wealthy and influential personality. She wondered how her mum was able to get her admitted here because her family could not be classified as rich.

She made a way for her locker and placed her thumb on the fingerprint scanner to open the locker,checked her schedule for the day and took out her books.As she took a turn for her class,she got bumped into by a blonde girl and their books fell to the ground.
