Unexpected

"Do you think our money is enough for a week?"Cloud asked me while eating chips.

"I don't know...it's depends on how we use it."I unsure answered to him.

"We should look for a job."Stephanie suggested while eating chips.

"We will having a hard time to look for a job,Stephanie.We're just 12 years old.Do you think there's a job for 12 years old?"

We're having a hard time about the money we had right now.And I cannot tell if we can eat for a week.

"We should divide our money for a week."Stephanie suggested while hitting Cloud's face.

"Eh?Then,we can only buy food for a week...?How about the things we need for everyday?"Cloud disagreed to the suggestion of Stephanie.

"You have point,Cloud."I agreed to what he said and he wiggling his eyebrows while gazing Stephanie who immediately hit his arm.

We really don't enough money since the nuns only give us a little money for our foods and the things we need for everyday.We have no choice but to look for a job that we 11 or 12 years old can work.

"We need to find a job like dishwasher in the small restaurant.I'm pretty sure that even we only earn a little money to that kind of job we can still eat enough for three times in a day."I explained and they agreed to my idea.

I hope that this will never be hard for us especially to those children who came with us because they don't have choice.They...we really need to sacrifice.

It's been 2 weeks since we left the oprhan house.Things is going easy but some things is going difficult especially the money we earn.All of us is working and sharing the money we earn so that we can buy foods and anything that we need for our everyday life.

"Where's Kalliene?"I asked them when I arrived to the apartment where we live.

"She's not home yet.She told me that she's have a part-time job so that she can earn more money for us."Kylie answered and I just nodded.

I just sighed while taking out the money on my pocket that I earn this whole day.I was dishwasher in a small restaurant and they only pay me a little but it's helpful to us.

"It's really hard to become independent.We don't really know what will happen to us.In the orphan,we eat a lot of food than now...now we only eat a little so that all of us can eat.In the orphan,we always play than now..now that we need to work to just earn money and buy foods or anything that we need."Kylie compared the life we had in the orphan house and now.

I can feel a little sadness because I know that my idea is really bad especially to those who badly want to stay in orphan house but I drag them along with me.Does my decision is wrong and bad?

"We have no choice but to keep those younger ones healthy and grow wise and kind.Do you think if we didn't this kind of thing the problem will be solved?Do you think that we will never suffer?"Stephanie said while putting the meals she had prepared for us.

No one respond on her even me because it's really my idea but I really need to drag some children just to make that the funds of the orphan house will fit to those children who was still there.

"There's no bad in sacrificing when you know that there's a good result and besides it's not Melody's fault and Karissa's fault.You know why...?Because every people have own mindset and it's really different to the others."

This is Stephanie's side that I really love to her.She's wise and she always consider the things that is important or not.I really love how the way she thinks.

"Karissa killed the biological daughter because she felt jealous and insecurities.Every people will feel jealous or insecurities because there's a things or a person that you think is higher than you.You think that is better than.You think that is worth than you.You think that you're worthless.You think that your efforts were vain or worthless.But...just remember to your mind that every thing in this world is worth."Stephanie explained while smiling.

I look at Cloud's direction and I can see his smile.The way he smile while staring at Stephanie.It's look like we got a cute couple here.

I'm sleeping when I heard a loud noise.I immediately stood up and leave my room.I was shocked when I saw Kalliene is holding a knife with a blood.

"What's happening here?"I asked the other who's in the corner of the house.

The fear is written in their faces and I really don't need to panic since I need to think on how we should escape from Kalliene's plan.I bet she's trying to kill of us especially me and I know that she's hiding the jealousy and insecurities she's feeling towards me.

"M-melody,were just watching Television when she arrived in the apartment,she's already holding a knife with a blood.She already killed Titus."Stephanie said while her voice trembling and she pointed Titus who is the ground showering in his own blood.

"Kalliene,what are you doing this?"I asked her so that her attention will be at me.

I just nodded when I saw Cloud and Karlo who slowly enter in the apartment.They planning to let the others escape while I'm diverting Kalliene's attention.

"Why...?Why?!Why?!WHY?!IT'S BECAUSE OF YOU...YOU ALWAYS ACT LIKE YOUR KIND BUT THE TRUTH IS YOU'RE DECEIVING US AND YOU'RE REALLY A BITCH."she answered and I can see the pain and angry written on her face.

"Because I'm kind,Kalliene.You letting the insecurities and jealousy you feel towards me and letting yourself to become a worst person.You letting yourself to become a criminal."I said trying to persuading her.

But she stab my right arm with the knife she's holding and when she will attempt to stab me again,Karlo stopped her and Cloud immediately help me and we quickly leave the apartment.

"Cloud,Karlo is still there.We cannot leave him behind."I said while trying to go back to the apartment but he stopped me.

"I know...but sacrifice will help us to escape."he responded and he immediately grabbed my wrist.

Why is this happening to us?I thought we had a good chemistry with Kalliene.Does it means that she's deceiving us to do this kind of thing?

My eyes begun to water when I saw the van...the van we should take ride to escape.The van exploded and the others was still there.They all died in explosion.

"N-no...this is not real."I said while trying to go to the direction of the van but Cloud stopped me.

I heard Cloud's groan and I saw that his right shoulder got shot and the blood is keep falling.

"C-cloud,your shoulder is bleeding."I said while my voice is broke.

He didn't mind it and he push his self to run while holding my wrist.He opened the door of a warehouse.

"O-open the door in the floor."he said while catching his breath my pointing the direction.

I open it and he immediately command me to go down.It's a underground.

"L-listen,Melody...y-you n-need to survive.Y-you need to survive..no matter what.Don't go out in this underground so that K-kalliene will never find and kill you."

I just nodded while crying.He cupped my cheeks and wipe my tears.He closed the door and I can hear his footsteps leaving this warehouse.

I cover my ears when I heard a loud noise from the outside.Cloud sacrifice his life for me...I need to survive.All of them died because of Kalliene.All of them died without reaching their dreams.In this world,people are so cruel.
