Chapter 3 Underground tunnel

Is it safe to say, that's why Vicky is my favourite, she gets me.

"Oh but he's voice sounds so dreamy". Vicky added. Okay she's totally going down to my least favorite. Sammy cuddled her hair and whispered words.

"So tell me, when is this conversation going to end". Mr Roddy snapped. Luca turned to look at him, I think.

"Well boy, aren't you going to introduce yourself to the class".

"Yes of course". Luca looked around the class. "I'm Lord Luca Alaric the third, soon to be ego driven idiot husband of Lady Tara Hendrix". He emphasized all the words. Wild gasps ran across the room and I bowed my head in embarrassment. He knew how to make you feel ashamed.

"No special treatment in my class, even if your father is the famous lord, off with your helmet, all faces should not be kept hidden".

"As you wish Mr......"

"Mr Roddy". Mr Roddy said to Luca.

Luca slowly removed his helmet, and the gasps got more louder. Even Vicky gasped.

"Oh my Gosh kill me!". Amy screamed.

"I know he called me brownie". Sammie said. "But I really want to be his brownie".

"I'm jelly". Sadie said.

"He's cute, but totally not my type". Vicky added. "He looks incredible arrogant and full of pride". This time Vicky wasn't wrong. Taking a look at Luca you could tell he was arrogant and prideful with the way he carried his shoulders and the way he looks at you like you're an ant he could waste no time stepping on, but I hate how dreamily handsome he looks when he's being rude and arrogant.

"Yeah guys, and that's the person I'm getting married to". The bell ringed but no body stood up to go. They all continued staring at Luca. Mr Roddy just walked out muttering curses as he did.

"Next class guys, we don't want Mr Brown to meet us here". Tara shouted. At the mention of Mr Brown the whole class dispersed but still looked back at Luca as they did.

Amy was the first to stand up in our group. "So are you like coming to school here". She asked Luca. Luca smirked and I saw Amy's cheek get red.

"Even his smile is cute". Sadie blushed also.

Hmmm, friends indeed. "If you guys aren't ready to go, I'll leave you to what ever you're staring at". I stood up and immediately sat down back as a wave of dizziness hit me. I curse you Mr Roddy.

" Are you okay".

I turned to look at Luca and scoffed. "If you're planning on making fun of me you should try harder than that".

"I'm not making fun of you, I just wanted to know, I don't want people saying I'm not a caring husband". He answered back.

"Well guess what dude, I don't need anyone caring for me, stop sounding or proving that you do!".

I stood up and walked out without looking back.

"That was a bit harsh". Sammie bumped my shoulder.

"I was aiming for excessively harsh, the guy irks me. He acts like he's the.."

"I know Tara, but you shouldn't have behaved like that, we thought you better than that". Amy waved her fingers.

"Yeah, when someone pretends to care, you also pretend to care that the person cares". Sadie added.

"Okay, I totally don't get what you just said. But if that's an advice, I'd score you zero".

"Yeah whatever, let's just hurry".

Have you ever been in a situation where you just say. Or beautiful ground filled with dirt, open up and swallow me. Well if you hadn't, you're lucky.

I stood in front of the whole class staring at nothing but my sandals. I wasn't going to risk staring at them so I could watch them laugh or watch someone pretend to pity me. No. I'd rather choose to stare at my foot and pray to the ground to swallow me whole.

How did I end up in this situation, well. I'm not willing to tell but since I have no choice. I think I'm going to.

It all started when we got to the side of the field Mr Brown taught us in. We all waited for me Brown to begin the class and then he started with just one word.

"Pair yourselves into two".

I looked right and left but it felt like my friends already knew this was going to happen cause none of them was available when i looked for a partner and as you all know. No one wants to have anything to do with me. So I ended up being the only one partnerless or whatever you call it. Then of course Mr Roddy found it funny to make fun of me by calling me to the front of the class and telling me how unfortunate I am even though I was the king's daughter. And then the worst part was when Luca stumbled on us and decided to make it obvious he was only doing what he was supposed to be doing as my future idiot ego driven husband. And by that I mean he volunteered to be my partner. And of course the crowd did the oohs and awws.

And that was why I stared at the ground.

"So now that we have every one in groups today's class will begin. First you guys are going to have to work together to find three missing pieces that would be covered by illusions". Mr Brown snapped his fingers and a bunch of underground tunnels appeared. Yeah his power was illusion.

"You'll have to find the twig of dodana, but the real thing is, there are various of twigs in each tunnel and only three is real. So you'll have to bring back the real one. If you end up bringing the wrong three, you would have to go back again and find the real ones. And you can only go back if your time hasn't run out. You have two hours".

Everyone mumbled amongst themselves while I thought of what could go wrong with me alone with Luca in a tunnel underground.
