Chapter 4 THE PAINED SECRETS

Hohan and her grandmother traveled from Japan to China just to get rid of those men with the same wristband as her daughter.

"I don't like all this. Is this how I will continue running from those men because of my grandson? How will I face them? I'm old. I wish I was young when I was much active and strong but now look at me, I'm old already. one day I will leave this world and my grandson will have to look at it for himself. I pray to God to be at his side always". Hohan's grandmother's soliloquy as she boarded a plane ticket on their way to Japan.

"Mum! Why are you quiet and where are we going ? Please say something or are you holding someone's Debt that we are running so we won't get caught?". Little Hohan asked as he continued to tap on her grandmother to answer her but the old woman kept smiling, making Hohan more curious and afraid.

"My son! the world is messed up and someday you will realize what I meant by this word but don't worry everything is fine. we just needed to try some new place with fresh air okay". Mrs. Jennifer answers her grandson as he bends down to him, reaching his head level and tapping his head to calm down. This time Hohan looks cool but deep down, something is troubling him.

As Hohan and her grandmother entered the plane, she was so shocked to see her friend's daughter working on the plane as a chef but she pretended to even know her in order not to answer an unnecessary question that will lead them to a problem. Hohan's grandmother sat on the chairs and used a magazine to cover her face and then slept off leaving poor Hohan to look at the climate as the plane went on air.

Manager shio, Mr. Brook, and master Shang were busy finding Mr. Zuke, the scientist who will eventually change the world to the world they have wished for.

The three scientists looked pretty tired so they decided to take one of the most expensive hotels in the whole of Japan. young Mr. Brook said. Why are we taking this expensive hotel? At least let some women be around in the night but manager shio quickly opposed the option as he shouted at him making Mr brook go to bed without even eating.

phone ringing

"Sir, I went into your Lab but I didn't see anything in it. I'm looking for my wristwatch all over the place and I still can't find it. I don't know if you saw it". Mr. Felix asked manager shio after cracking his head in order to get information from him on the phone call.

"Wristwatch? I don't see any wristwatch and besides, it is not in my Lab. I took all my equipment to a safe place because something might happen". Manager shio replied using a confusing tone because he didn't know what was going on but he place it nicely in a way that he didn't tell Mr. Felix anything.

"Ok sir, I'll look for it. By the way, how are your journey and the place you are currently? I hope you are enjoying yourself with your college". Mr. Felix asked as he uses a happy tune in a way that manager shio will smile back at him.

"Don't worry we are all fine and good. please I have another incoming call, can we talk some other time maybe tomorrow let me attend to the person calling". manager shio replies as the phone keeps ringing making him end the call as possible.

"Oh Mrs. Lilian. What brings you to my phone this evening? I hope all is well and you don't have a problem giving it to me". manager shio picked up the call with a surprise as miss Lilian called not expecting she could call because she can take care of the company herself.

"Nothing sir! But I think something doesn't feel right. Mr. Felix came to my office saying he was looking for his phone. Maybe he fell when he came to give you water in the lab and I knew you never asked for water since I have been with you. getting to the lab everywhere is empty and the way he sounds, I know something is wrong". Mrs. Lilian was a little bit confused so she had to call the boss in case anything happened in the office. they will know what to do.

"He said his phone is nowhere to be found. Wow!. don't worry about it, okay. Goodnight and take care of my company for me". manager shio replied as he was in shock when he heard Mr. Felix's cell phone is missing and main while Mr. Felix called him saying his wrist band is missing but manager shio kept everything to himself saying he knew what to do.

As the night passes. These three scientists slept without even eating and they knew very well that they had a big journey to park tomorrow.

Hohan and his grandmother reached China where they slept in the hotel after eating noodles. Mrs. Jennifer couldn't sleep. He kept on thinking about Hohan after she passed away because she is not too strong in this world anymore and she believes that, the moment she left this world. Hohan will be an irresponsible child and no one will take good care of him.

She doesn't know what to do but she keeps praying harm doesn't come his way.

"Tomorrow will be a big day for us my son," Hohan's grandmother said as she uses the duvet to cover her child and then off the lights.

FOLLOWING DAY.

"Good Morning everyone! happy to see you all. today's is my shoe anniversary. so I will throw a big party for everyone after I get my pay this month". Mr. Felix felt happy as he continue bouncing his foot to Mrs. Lilian's office.

"This man, you are happy because of the shoe. By the way, go where you are going and come back. we talk". Mrs. Julia quickly interrupted but didn't stop him from going to the secretary's office but Mr. Felix just smiled at her.

knock. knock.

"Come in," Mrs. Lilian replied to the secretary. she actually was but she believed what the person wanted wouldn't disturb or take her time from doing what she was doing. instead, she could have said come back in one hour time because she is fond of telling people to come back in one hour time.

"Secretary. Secretary. My only secretary! do you believe my best shoe is two years old". Mr. Felix walks into the office with a smile written on his face as if he ate the most delicious meal. oh! It's because of the shoe's anniversary. He headed close to the secretary and then dropped her pen and covered her book in order to stop her from writing very rudely but the secretary didn't say a word. She just relaxed and felt comfortable.

"Shoe anniversary? and that is why you are shining your teeth like this. Are you okay by the way or what did you eat?" the secretary asked, looking confused because of a shoe, the young man came to stop her from writing.

"My secretary. You know we are not on quite good terms so let us spend the time today and besides I know you don't like me and now that our manager is far away. is it not time for us to rest". Mr. Felix asked as he walks toward the chair and sat down crossing his leg like he is the boss of the company

"What do you mean to spend the time together. Do I look like your girlfriend? Mind the way you talk to me okay. I'm the secretary of this company and I have the right to fire you right now so be careful with your speech. and again what do you mean rest. we still have a lot to cover now that our manager is gone so let's be serious". Mrs. Lilian replied as she crossed her leg just as her manager always does, making her feel relaxed and ready to talk to Mr. Felix.

"I'm sorry for my tone. Please don't fire me and you know that since I've been here, we haven't had a party. Why don't we throw a party in this company? Maybe that day everybody can go home and change, then come back to celebrate. It is a nice idea and I would love to try it. it's fun I guessed". Young Mr. Felix is now the boss in the company looking for who to give orders to but the secretary is so cold and if he doesn't take care of. he will be fired.

"I think you are stupid. You want me to turn a company into a party. Please, if you have nothing to say, leave my office and go to work. The secretary was so cold that she shouted at him which made him so shy that other colleagues must have heard her shout.

"I'm sorry ma'am. But madam, let's be honest here. something isn't right in this company. since when I have been here I just keep having this strange feeling and each time feeling like this happens. It is usually correct. The reason I asked you to open the lab for me was I wanted to know what is inside and that is the reason. I'm trusting you and that is why I'm telling you this. please if you too feel something is fishy somewhere you can tell me with ease. I have no family to run to so let me stop the job as soon as possible" Mr. Felix was scared of death with his instinct as he whispered this secret to the secretary hoping she would keep it.

"My friend. you have overstayed your welcome and it's time to go back to work".Mrs. Lilian replied as he stood up from her chair and went to the door to open the door for him to leave.

Mr. Felix didn't have an option but he whispered again to the secretary that please don't sack me. I have no other job to do.

Mrs. Lilian didn't say a word, she just went back to her chair as she said this guy is something else. He didn't believe that he could say something like that but anyway let's just watch what will happen.

Mr. Felix leaves the office. He went with a smile and came back with a frown because of the secretary. making Mrs. Julia asking

"Anniversary man! what is happening, why is your face like this or are we not throwing the party anymore". she asked as she kept laughing hard at his horrible face.

"Don't mind that secretary. She just ruined my day. I'm not doing any party anymore. I needed to let my head rest" The gloomy face of Mr. Felix shows he is tired of life.

"What's wrong! Do you need my help? I can assist, trust me but not your silly plan in the company work. I won't do that". Mrs. Julia replied as she giggled, making Mr. Felix angrier.

Mr. Felix was so calm throughout this particular day of work. He felt his day was already ruined and he wished he was calm from the very onset. maybe the insult the secretary gave him could have not happened.
