Chapter 2 LINDA MARTINS ( FRIENDSHIP)

BILLIONAIRE THIRST FOR LOVE

Chapter Two

They kept touching me as I kept warning and fighting their hands off. After a while of teasing, I knew they weren't done.

They had lust etched in their eyes and had purposed in their heart to take turns in raping me something I dreaded with the whole of my being.

Suddenly, there was a buzzing sound!

One of the men started shaking like an epileptic patient, as he fell to the ground.

A female figure was shown with pepper spray in her hands, she ran over to the guy who was already bent over me and sprayed him too, as he scurried away, the last guy had already taken off.

"Who are yo-u?" I managed to voice out as my head spun and the darkness was slowly setting in.

I fell to the ground as my fingers dug at the wet soul and my throat gave way as the drinks came crashing out.

"You'll be fine." I felt a hand rubbing my back soothing me.

She helped me to my feet and shoved me gently into the car seat with a strap and drove out.

Her engine died off when I felt her unstrap me and took me to her hotel room and immediately my body came in contact with the bed, I slept off.

********

The constant ringing of my phone was buzzing like crazy, and I slowly opened my eyes and looked sideways with sleepy eyes.

As I used my hands to scan the couch when my hands got in contact with my phone. It was Linda calling and had already called three times when I scrolled my phone.

I looked at the time on my phone and realized it was thirty minutes to prepare before the party starts.

A follow-up text from Linda buzzed through my phone and it said she was almost there to pick me up.

That's Linda for you so caring and possessive of her bestie!

Linda had since that night won my heart, once my eyelids flung open and I took in my environment. My eyes met a coffee by the bedside, and a note that said,

"Don't move. I figured you'll have a headache, so I went to get you some meds."

Which was followed up with a heart-shaped card.

That gesture was one of the sweetest things I've experienced in months.

A smile spread out on my cheek as I read the letter over and over again.

I stood up and walked around the room sipping my coffee as my head tried to recall the incident that led me here.

The coffee was helpful from feeling like crap to feeling pretty awesome in a matter of seconds.

My head buzzed with a reminder my Mom must have been worried sick about me but I couldn't leave without seeing and thanking my savior.

If it wasn't for her help I didn't want to imagine what those bastards would have done to me.

As I sat at the table my eyes scanned the scattered papers on the table.

I didn't turn up the papers so who did? Certainly my savior... That's what my head has been calling her till I know her name.

Curiosity got the better part of me so my fingers picked one up to look at it.

It was easy to figure out that it was an account statement and further scanning of the rest of it revealed that my savior was auditing for a company here in Santa-Dabia and was having a challenge.

It didn't take me ten minutes to find the problem and fix it. After all, I was a degree holder in accounting and the best graduating student from my college.

The same college I met my first love who destroyed and broke me to pieces. A tear escaped my tear duct and rolled down to my cheek.

I wiped my tears and exhaled. How many times have I sworn never to cry for that betrayer? Uncountable times but I still do.

I heard footsteps and the door getting unlocked and I turned to see the womanly figure of my savior as she met me sitting writing on her table. "What are you doing out of bed?" She asked me.

"Well I'm good with hangovers and I probably won't need the meds you went to get," I replied with a sweet smile.

Then I went on biting the cap of the pen. "Thank you so much for yesterday, I would have been dead now or raped and left in the cold if not for you. I appreciate it," My head hung low as I said those words.

My savior smiled and said. "My accounts weren't balancing and I went out to lighten up my head with a few drinks when I ran into you." She revealed.

"Well I figured out the problem, you were off by a zero in the debit section," I said pointing to the paper I've been writing on before she walked in.

"You don't say." She beamed with shock and awe as she confirmed what I just said.

"Thank you so much, Miss.. what's your name?" She inquired.

"Maria! Maria McCain." I replied as she smiled and my lips opened to sip my coffee.

"Thank you, Maria. I think I was made to save you so you could save me. I'm Linda. Linda Martins." Linda added with a handshake.

Linda was sent in from the head office of MTC in Orano to Santa-Dabia to help audit and balance the accounts of one of their branches and after I helped her balance the account, she had an extra free week so she hung out more with me.

We ladies warmed up to each other and shared personal conversations. Linda was gay but said I wasn't her type. Linda was into Studs and her family wasn't aware yet.

I didn't leave any stone unturned as my lips gave way to narrating to Linda about how my life hit rock bottom, from my Fiance to debt and new habit of drinking.

Linda was there to offer emotional support and when one week had come to an end, she convinced me to move with her to Orano.

She helped me secure a job at MTC. She told Big Billy how I fixed an account that was giving her and the entire Santa-Dabia branch issues, Big Billy loved her and thus this beautiful friendship began.
