Chapter 3 Move I

My mom told me her story, she practically drilled her ways in my mind, she is my role model and I adore her, still I'm a daddy's little princess, he's my superhero, he's the one who taught me how to be strong, physically and emotionally.

But in that moment I couldn't remember any of it, not moms ways, not dads classes, not even where i was.

Dad had his reason, it was hella of a strong one. But what's his?

I'm pretty sure uncle Jacobs' family never came upon a mate curse, mom would've known, she would've told me!

Maybe it's because he's my brothers best friend.

But Stef didn't have that reaction when he found out that Lana, my best friend, was his mate.

I for one was ecstatic , I'll have little brothers and best friends running around the house, nephews and nieces that I'd spoil rotten, I was over the moon.

But at this moment, I was devastated and down right stormy and threatening, and trust me these characteristics don't go well with me, you can ask Stefan and he'd be more than glad to show the mark I left on his side years ago that was still very visible, he needed stitches for two weeks and he's of alpha blood!

At least it taught him a lesson, and now He saves lives by just showing that scar.

The scene was still fresh in my mind, which scene you'd ask?

Brace yourselves cause here it comes. "Sebastian ? Y-you're my mate?" Stupid Dani, you meet your mate and that's what you say!

"No! I Sebastian Christopher King, reject you, Daniella Stefani Mathews, as my mate and luna" my body felt as if it was thrown into an ice cold bath before being thrown into boiling stones.

My throat dry and my eyes over moist. But I am the alphas daughter, No, I'm The Lunas Daughter for Selenes sake! I will not show weakness!

"And I will never give you the satisfaction! I, Daniella Stefani Mathews, don't accept your rejection." My eyes narrowed at his gorgeous figure, my hands balled into fists as my claws dug into the palms, trying not to cause any scene.

"Daniella, I don't want nor need a mate. I'm only eighteen for goddess sake! I'm here to have fun, and the pain you feel is all on you!" He hissed back at me before giving me one last shrug and walking away.

The whole time his face was stone cold no emotion what so ever and as a reaction I finally let the traitorous tears escape to my cheeks. Going to mom seemed the wisest thing to do right now and so, knowing that she'd be resting in her room I ran there before bursting through her door and into her arms.

"Baby girl, what's wrong? What happened? Are you hurt?" Her soft angelic voice was like music to my ears, but right now is wasn't soothing the aching in my heart.

"I- I found m-my m-mate" I said hiccuping as I sobbed into her shoulder

"What? That's great honey! Shouldn't you be happy then?" She tone sounded as if she already knew but still wanted to be sure

"He rejected me momma!" I hiccuped harder this time

"Who is he?" She sounded angry but collected at the same time

"Sebastian" his name alone brought a great deal of anguish to me and my wolf, karma, who has been howling and whimpering at how coldly our mate tossed us aside.

"As in Jacobs son? My best friends son? You're brothers best friend? That Sebastian?!" She sounded surprised and confused and I don't blame her, we may have always caused trouble but we also protected and loved one another

"Yes." Was my simple answer

"Oh, baby, come on, stand up and square those shoulders of yours like you always do before facing a challenge! I may have not sent you to that academy, but i sure as her thought you all about it. I raised a warrior, so go show him sweetheart, show him what he should be begging to get back!" Her words brought me back to reality, making me pull away from her as I whip my tears away.

'Don't forget our law' karma said in a voice so Venomous it surprised me but she was right.

When i first got Karma, I was sating a boy who turned out to be playing me and that's when we, well she, came up with this law.

'Karma law: Never try to play with other people around you, for you may never know that they play better then you.' It's good to say that i had actually made him fall in love with me before telling him I knew that he was playing me and broke it off. Bitch got what he deserved.

"Now get that pretty little ass of yours downstairs and let Karma do her work!" I swear times like this, she makes me feel as if she's my sister and not mother.

Shaking my head I walked out of her room, not before getting a slap to the ass, and to mine.

Yesterday after the news of my brother and best friend being mates reached everyone, we decided to have a little get together, consisting of our close group of friends only.

Our group did have many, we had Alison and Augustus who are mates, Ali had met Gus at last years Mating Ceremony, while Gus is from our pack she is from a small Australian pack, both of them have no special rank but they are still great friends of our group.

Next up would be Parker, Uncle Ethan's son, my cousin, our packs next third, an extreme clown who will stop at nothing to make us laugh and my favorite prank partner.

Then there comes Elijah, at the age of seventeen, he's the best warrior, actually, he's been away on a warrior camp for two months getting himself prepared to take over the lead warrior title when my brother takes over his alpha title.

Eli and I have had a thing for about a year now, we both know that we have mates and that we should wait for them so we made a deal, never get farther than second base, and we'll break up when one or both of us find our mates.

He arrived yesterday but I couldn't see him because he arrived pretty late, along with Sebastian actually, and i was sleeping.

Obviously I'm going to tell him that I found my mate, as well as that HE rejected me.

After washed my face and making sure I didn't look like I've been crying a river, I slipped out of my shorts and cropped top and into my white bikini that had little colorful stones outlining it, not even bothering with a coverup, i made my way out back to where the massive pool lay.

Don't tell dad this, but I've always preferred my grandparents pool, it's life a fucking lake in their back yard!

Anyway, as i made my way down the large stairs I saw my group of friends alongside my brother and mate, as well as my Lana, my best friend.

"Eli!" My squeal had alerted them to move out of the way as i ran over to my boyfriends open arms, well I actually jumped onto him, wrapping myself around him like a monkey, as my legs wrapped around his waist and my arms found there way around his shoulders as I buried my head in his neck.

As he chuckled I let my smile surface and my lips touch his skin, it all took a second thought, because before we knew it we were flying backwards and into the pool, stupidly I hadn't noticed that he was standing at the pools ledge, and from the force of my jump we both fell in.

Under the water, and gagging-ly and as in any cliche, we looked at each other for a second before we kissed, as we resurfaced i was still wrapped around his body as he held onto my thighs to keep me from slipping.

"I missed you too beautiful." His deep husky voice reached my ears accompanied with another chuckle

"Guys! How many times do we have to go over this! I'd like to keep my food in my stomach " Parker's whining had me pull away from Eli only to poke out my tongue at him, making the others but Sebastian laugh at our silliness.

"Are you going to keep on holding onto him like that all night?!' Sebastian asked annoyed with glaring eyes.

"Off coarse not! By night we'd be in my room" I replied in order to rail him up more. Yet still unwrapped myself from Eli and started to swim towards the edge of the pool, making Sebastian frown at me while the others gag.

"Eli, you know i love you man; but if I hear any of the sounds I heard last time you stayed over I'm gonna kick you out my self" Stef said making me blush and hide my face in Elis socking wet, white muscle tank clade, shoulder as he chuckled.

"Man, that's why we got the sound proof system installed" Eli replied making my already red cheeks go on full red pepper, tomato red, as the other's laughed

A low growl got me looking up to see Sebastians eyes shifting between black and their abnormally beautiful blue, and once they regained the blue color he jumped into the water not a word said.

Deciding it's best to tell Elijah what's going on now so that he doesn't find out from anyone else, I dragged his wet form with me out of the water and to my room, only than noticing his black ripped water dripping pants and his favorite shoes

"Sorry for ruining your shoes." I said sheepishly making him chuckle

"Don't worry about it. I'm sure you didn't drag me all the way here to apologize for my shoes. So, what's going on?" Sighing, I made him sit next to me on the floor so that we don't make the bed wet.

"Sebastian, he's my mate. He rejected me." My voice soft and my head down as my gaze rested on the floor.

"He's crazy. Anyone would be lucky to have you in their life Dani." Okay, so his reaction was much better than I expected

"Do you want to break things off?" My voice still soft, my gaze still on the floor too afraid to look at him, I don't know if I can take loosing both of them.

He took my chin between his fingers and lifted my head up to look at him before he spoke "No, I really don't. But if you do, I'll respect that" And that ladies and gentlemen, is exactly why i like his so much, pulling him into a much needed hug I shook my head no.

"Okay, now let's go show that asshole what he's missing" Eli said and surprisingly threw me over his shoulder and ran all the way to the pool with me squealing and screaming for him to put me down

"READY FOR THE IMPACT PRINCESS?" He screamed at me seconds before he jumped into the water causing my loudest squeal to alert the others; and as we emerged from the water Eli chuckling and me pouting.

After delivering a swift slap to his chest I tried swimming away.

Key word being trying.

His hold on me was firm as he kissed my shoulder pressing my back to his front "now we're even." He whispered making me smile a little Turning around, I wrapped my legs around his waist before crashing my lips on his, letting my fingers weave into his wet messy hair.

Only to be shortly cut off.

"Guys! PG-13 please! Ugh!" Off course it was non other than Parker as he pretended to gag at all three couples.

Throwing a quick glance at Sebastian's priceless expression as he payed no attention to Jully who had her boobs stuck to his arm, i was satisfied.

"Guess paybacks a bitch." Karma said sadly a certain cruelty in her broken voice.

"It'll be okay.. One day.." i said trying to comfort the both of us Suddenly Sebastian emerged under the water and started doing laps back and forth as if he's competing in the Olympics, ignoring his change of attitude and swam over to where Lana and Stef were standing, and as soon as I was close enough I hopped onto Lanas back.

"you've been ignoring me for an idiotic moron and making me miss you sweet cheeks!" I said giving her the puppy dog eyes as she giggled

"Dani, I only found him yesterday! I will forever love you, and I swear we can have a sleepover this weekend ! and bitch, i'll never ignore you for that idiot, maybe ignore him for you but never the other way around!" she finished with a giggle causing me to release a chuckle full with triumph as my brother stared at us dumbfoundedly

"Ha! she's mine!" I said poking out my tongue at him, I still don't understand how he never found her before yesterday, but then again I didn't even recognize Sebastian's sent when I came back home last year.

thankfully, Stefans growl cut off my thinking and brought me back to the present.

"she's mine! Only mine!" he said before practically throwing me off of Lana as he hugged her close and placed his head in the crook of her neck as if making sure she was still really next to him.

A pang of sadness and jealousy hit me hard but still I kept my face as playful as ever. yet still I wonder, why didn't Sebastian treat me this way... " oh come on you big ouf, you know we're just joking around, I still have my own hunk to warm my bed." I said with a smirk as I nodded to Eli earning two low growls, one playful coming from my brother while the other murderous and I'm sure you can guess who let that one slip.

Eli, my shining knight in armour, gave him a very fake very concerned and confused look before asking " Sebastian, man are you okay? you look a bit angry.." and since I couldn't hide my grin ihid my face in Elis shoulder thanking the gods that he came near us a couple of minutes ago.

" no. everything is perfectly fine." his voice husky and words barely escaping his gritted teeth It's really torturous, looking at his handsomness and not being able to call it mine. and here's a fun fact about me, I have a huge thing for tattoos, like they make my knees weak and oh good goddess, he had plenty! a skeleton sleeve extending from his left fingers and fading out at his elbow , his right arm was covered in his alpha mark and on his hand a skeleton face... and if you're wondering what's the alpha mark, well its mainly a wolf in the woods and it appears on the right arm of every alpha as soon as they shift for the first time. there's this lake on our pake land, it used to be mums hide out place and over the years it became mine, the water their always had me enchanted, the mint green mied with sky blue, the visible ground adding a soft hazel-y brown speks, and as if the lake was removed from its place only to take residence in his eyes. his cheekbones and his sharp jaw reminded me of mountains and knives. his nose, even though most would not se it, but there was a small crook from when we were kids and this bully had pushed me, sebastian was there and after helping me stand up he punched the boy who pushed me, so hard it broke his jaw, that boy had maneged to get a good hit which broke Sebs nose befor he beat that kid to a pulp. I still remember tjat day, the look in his eyes so leathel, i was afraid he'd kill that boy. i want that Sebastian back so badly. and dont even get me started on his muscles, I'm sure selene took her sweet time creating him. "sweet cheeks you're staring." Eli had whispered in my ear his sweat voice echoing in my head making me emidiatly look aat him with wide eyes as he gave me his signiture tousand watt smile which i retured with a small one after recovering. deciding that it was enough water and thati shiuld get some tan in, i climbed out of the pool. "babe, can you please rub some oil on my back?" i asked giving Eli the puppy dog eyes and pouty lips who nobody cold resist, trust me, not dad, not uncle jacob, not even the king, they all give in. his smile very prominent he tried acting annoyed but it work " just give me the goddamnd oil!" he said in a fake annoyed tone making me giggle as i threw the oil at him. "stop acting as if you dont love being able to rub oil all over her, we all know the truth you lucky prick" Park said in a joking tone making the rest chuckle as my brother fake gagged and Seb gritted his teeth and had his hands fisted, truthfully, if looks could kill, Eli eould be standing next to lucifer right about now. "what can i say, my girlfriend is a work of art. I'm pretty sure she could win over the tittle of Aphrodite." Eli said as he unclipped my bikini bra and started rubbing oil on my back the guy knew what he was doing as he went down and rubbed some oil on my ass painfully slow earning a low moan from me and an annoyed groan from the rest. "guys, bedroom! you keep that for the bedroom!" Ali squeeled hidding her eyes like a child making me chuckle. "look who's talking! and one would tjink you guys would have gotten used to this!" i said jokingly "nope! never getting used to my best friend rubbing my little sisters ass!" stef said releasing a groan as he gagged "Hey! you marked my best friend yesterday and have been all touchy feely and you dont see me complaining! plus, I'm only younger by two minutes! TWO FUCKING MINUTES!" I practically screamed the last part "best two minutes of my life" he smirked making me groan as i let my head fall back down as Eli finished rubbing the oil. " Thank you babe" I said blowing him a kiss as he smirked and pretended to catch it "my pleasure" the rest of our afternoon went farily well as us girls tanned while the guys swam and discussed pack stuff. they never take a break i tell you! Steff is actually really excited for alpha camp but he and dad had an agreament that stef will take his position after going to all the places he and Lana wanna see, he says he wants her to feel and see the world before they settle down for good.mwho knew my brother could be so romentic sebastian avoided the mate topic as if it was the pleague but did mention that he'll be taking the alpha position of alpha on his nineteenth birthday which was reallyyy close, actually his birthday is on december the twentyfifth, only four month from today, yup on christmas, my birthday on the other hand is two month from now, I'll be eighteen on the nineteenth of august. The tought of him leaving had me on the brink of tears. I know that I have Eli, but for how long? he'll find her soon, and I won't let her watch her mate pretend to be my boyfriend so that I could make my own mate jealous. I'm not that cruel. "A penny for your thoughts" Elijahs voice cut through my depressed thuoghts "It's nothing really" I smiled a little before looking back at the small bonfire we had created in our spot a bit farther than yhe pack house It was about ten pm, the moon was full tonight and the stars were shining lightly as the moons shine dimmed theirs. we had all showred and changed before we came out here, and stupidly i had thuoght that it would be a great idea to wear shorts alongside a stolen shirt of Elis... what?! Dont act like you've never stole some of your boyfriends hoodies or shirts that were never returned!! I even have two of Stefs shirts and a hoodie, that shit is comfy dont judge!! A furious look passed through Sebastian's eyes when he first saw me but he was quick to hide it, yet I didn't miss it or the glare he'd shoot Eli every now and then. My very pregnant mom came down the stairs holding a big tray that has her signature chocolate heaven in a cup on it. Let me tell you, mother or not, that woman is my freaking idol! She never gave up, unlike me who seems to already be edging to the cliff. "Here you go munchkins! Eli keep those hands off my angel Stefan and Sebastian drop your smug looks and Patrick please stop fantasizing about the hot chocolate, it's just a drink!" Even dad never argues with her, what ever she says is always right. Always! Eli had a blush on his cheeks while Sebastian had a dumbfounded look on his face momentarily while Stefan shrugged and patrick held out his hand for the hot cocoa "No, Luna, this is actually the definition of heaven! It's better than sitting among the gods and goddesses I tell you!" He said looking at his mug in such adoration, you'd think it's his mate. And with that he made the awkward-ish mood change as we all laughed at his logic with mum smiling while she shook her head at him. "Don't stay out too late, you know you have a long day tomorrow!" Yup! Almost forgot that tomorrow was the mate ball that would be thrown each year on a different pack's land, it's been about eight years since it was thrown on our land and I was so excited since I had convinced dad to let me decorate this year, I promised to make it magical, but after what happened I was feeling a bit discouraged, yet I haven't said a word. "Don't worry momma, it's not good for the twins!" I said gesturing to the two munchkins that will soon be joining our family. Mom chuckled and nodded as she walked back up to the pack house. Ever since I found out that I'll be a big sister, which wasn't long ago, I've went crazy protective over mom, I even went baby clothes shopping and I had searched for the perfect room after revealing that we'd get two babies, a girl and a boy, joining the family. To say I was ecstatic would be an understatement. I was the most excited of everyone, even dad, and if you haven't caught on yet, that means a Lot! With the capital L! "I don't wanna be anywhere near you when you get pregnant! If you've done all this for mom's pregnancy I pity your mate for how much he'll go through!" My brother said making me almost choke on my drink. "Don't worry, I have a feeling you'll never have to deal with that." I said looking straight at my supposed mate. To be honest, I've always dreamt of having kids of my own, someone to call me momma, someone who I can pamper and spoil to my hearts content, but only your mate can get you pregnant, and seeing that my mate rejected me, well... I'll have to deal with never being called a mom or mummy, or momma, I'll still get to pamper and spoil my siblings. "Anyway, I'm going to bed, you know, I have to be awake pretty early tomorrow. Eli, if you come to my room don't forget to close the door you know how i hate when it's kept open. Good night!" With a wave of my hand I started on my way up the stairs to my room feeling overly exhausted from this depressing day. "Super hero's are overrated! Bring me zoro!"
