Chapter 4 I'll Wait for You

Gazing at the mockery at the corner of his mouth, Lori wished he could stroke her hair as he used to do, "Girl, you'll know when you grow up!"

She grew up, but they seemed to become enemies!

The air was very awkward. Snapping out of a daze, Lori pursed her lips without a word and then turned around for the black Mercedes Benz parked aside.

But the academic senior persistently chased up for another chance.

"Lori, you don't have anything to tell me? As I said, I'll wait for you!"

Opening the car door, she halted her hand and took a glance at the man in front of her. The smile at the corner of his mouth was like a knife that stabbed her heart. Why? She was suffering while he was fooling around lightheartedly!

Turning back, Lori looked at Roger indifferently and claimed helplessly, "Sorry, I already got a boyfriend!"

Boyfriend?

His slanted eyes were narrowed, and the smile at the corner of his mouth stiffened. Even so, his domineering and sexy air didn't diminish. A penetrating gaze was shot at her arm that was gripped by Roger.

"Boyfriend? Didn't... didn't you just say you are married?"

Lori smiled, "I'm indeed married, but I think I'll soon get divorced!"

Without the slightest hesitation, she brushed off Roger's hand, pulled open the door, and got in the car.

To put an end to her academic senior's stupid waiting, she needed to drive him desperate. It was the best approach!

She started the car and drove away from the parking lot neatly. Before passing through the aisle, Lori took a glance at the man still standing there through the rearview mirror. While she pursed her lips, a flash of sadness crossed her bright cat's eyes, but soon it gave way to indifference. With neat drift, the black Mercedes got on the road and mingled in the traffic.

Clifford narrowed his eyes and pursed his sexy, thin lips into a chilling line. As soon as he saw the Mercedes Benz getting on the road with drift and disappearing in the traffic, anger was boiling in his chest.

She wanted a divorce?

Although he hated her for driving away Hermione Scott back then, she was still his lawful wife!

Even though he didn't love her, she was still his property!

Men could fool around but didn't allow their wives to be tarnished!

Who was so bold to get his hands on his property?

His thin lips curved up, and his stern, stunning face now looked fierce in every angle! Even the indistinct V-shaped scar at the tail of his eyebrow was incandescent with rage.

How dare anyone coveted his belongings? He'd like to meet the bold person!

Lori pulled off by the side of the main road, not far from the hospital. Before long, she saw a black Maserati sports car with a familiar license plate coming out of the gate. In an instant, her back stiffened, so was her entire body. She clutched the steering wheel so forcefully that her fair fingers became bloodless.

As expected, Clifford came to the hospital to pick up that woman!

He challenged her pride once again!

Lori closed her eyes, gritted her teeth, and pursed her lips. In the quiet car, she could even hear her own heavy breathing and upset heartbeat.

A sharp pain came from her chest!

Lifting a hand to her chest, he took a few deep breaths to calm down.

All these years, he had done too many similar things to insult her! But no matter how he tortured or provoked her, she could still find a little consolation from the sight of her spouse's name on the residence booklet.

Clifford, I would not let this go easily! What belonged to me, I would never give them up to others!
