Chapter 4 04

After the period for the English lesson was over, Mrs. Stacy left the class. "We are now left to decide our fate in mortal bullying," Theo said looking at Adam. "This is why we need the help oo f a guardian angel," Adam said smiling at Theo.

He regained his smile and this time it grew even bigger. This was until it was interrupted with a tap on Theo's shoulder.

It was Jack and his gang. They had come to continue from where they stopped earlier. "Are you done running?" He asked Theo.

"I did not mean to hit you," Theo said feeling feeble. He knew that he was about to face the wrath of Jack and even Adam will not be able to save him.

"Leave him alone" came a light voice. Everyone in the class turned to see who spoke up for Theo. It was Theo's cush, Laura.

"She just Spoke up for me," Theo said loudly and out of shock. "Does this mean that she liked me all this while and I did not know?" Theo thought to himself.

"I now have where to start from," he said within himself. Even Adam stood still looking at Laura. "Is it possible that she also likes Theo?" he said to himself amidst shock.

"How dare you interrupt me," Jack said advancing towards Laura. I got to do something he said looking confused.

"This is your chance just say something and win her over to yourself," Theo's guardian angel said to him.

"Stop there," Theo said taking a bold look at Jack. Jack came closer to him clenching his fist. "Run for your life" came Adam's voice as they fled out of the class to find safety.

Just as they reached the door the Maths teacher cane inside. Theo and Adam stopped and walked back slowly to their seats.

"Being pursued by Jack and his gang again?" He asked the boys. The maths teacher was a good friend of Theo.

He usually compared Adam's brain with that of Theo. This was the only problem that Adam had with him. He hated being compared to someone else.

"Yes sir" the boys chorused as they turned to look at his face. Get back to your seats I am now in charge.

"What was the topic of our last lesson" he pointed at Jack to give to him the answer to the question. With the help of Grayson Jack answered the question correctly.

"I now see that Jack has recruited a new member to his pack of wolves". The whole class burst into uncontrollable laughter.

This made jack feel insulted. He swore within himself to get his own pound of flesh from the Math teacher.

Mr. Parker the math teacher taught the class using half of his period. He used the remaining to give classwork. this was what always transpired during his classes.

He usually did this to know those that we're paying attention to him. Adam was not really good at Math. For this reason, he usually hated this section of Mr. parker's class.

This time around, Adam passed the classwork. He was happier when he saw his score. He made an A in the classwork.

"You will be as good as your friend if you keep up this performance," Mr. Parker said while giving to him his answer sheet.

Other classes came and went without giving Jack and his gang a chance to continue with their plans for Adam and Theo.

Soon it was time for bream and everyone including Jack went out of the class. Theo and Adam cane back into the class when everyone had left the class.

"How do you always pass your tests, assignments, class works, and even exams," Adam asked Theo when they came into the class. I just read and find myself passing at the end of each of these assessments". Theo replied knowing what Adam was driving at.

"Are you sure that your guardian angel does not have any hand in this?" Adam asked again looking suspiciously at Theo.

"What kind of question is this?" Theo asked feeling absurd. "You are hiding something from me," he said still looking suspiciously at Theo.

"What do you want?" Theo asked Adam knowing that he was up to something. The duo has been together for years. It seems to be that they knew everything about each other.

"You are now acting matured," Adam said looking cunningly at Theo. "You are wasting your guardian angel," Adam said to Theo with a look of seriousness. His face changed and Theo knew that he was serious.

"How"? Theo asked him. "With your guardian angel we can possibly rule this school," Adam said pausing to look at Theo's face. He sensed that Theo was about to speak and continued.

"you said that your guardian angel tells you what to do right?" He asked looking directly at Theo. "Yes," Theo replied still confused.

"What if your guardian angel told you how we could defeat the bullies?" Adam asked Theo with a tone of finality.

"You've gone crazy," Theo said looking at Adam as though he just completed the craziest poem ever. Adam was looking confused.

"How?"He asked Theo. He just did not understand why Theobwoukd say that he was crazy.

Just then they heard the voice of Jack. "Nice work the wise man," he said according to praises to Grayson.

"Do you boys think that you can really run away from us?" He asked them as his boys jerked them back and forward.

"Let us go," Adam said. "What will you do if we do not leave you?" Jack asked them waiting to hear the reply that they will give to him.

"I will call on Theo's guardian angel to deal with you mercilessly". There was an uproar I'd laughter as Adam made that statement.

"You should not have said that," Theo said to Adam with a tone of disappointment. Just then Adam realized that they will be mocked yet for another thing.

"Am sorry" Adam said just then Jack stopped laughing. "Back to business," he said looking sternly at the duo.

Adam and Theo were left under Jack and Grayson's desks for the rest of the break period. "I must put an end to this" Adam said almost loudly.

"Let us go" Theo began to scream but there was no one that could possibly hear and save them.

"Stop screaming it's of no use," Adam said to Theo and they remained there until the end of the break period.

The bell signifying that the break period was over rang. The two boys were left to continue with the day's classes.

"How I wish that this will never happen again," Theo said as he was left to go. "Your wish can come to pass, "Adam said smiling at him.

Theo looked at Adam being confused as he did not know what to say to him. "You will understand later" Adam concluded.
