Chapter 5 IT WAS YOU

The next day. After my first class on campus ended, I rushed to the canteen to fill my stomach. Last night's events made it hard for me to fall asleep, and my mother's busy schedule made her forget to wake me. As a result, I had to wake up late which made me leave for the campus in a hurry and didn't have time to do breakfast.

As soon as I arrived at the canteen, I chose to sit on the corner bench after ordering my favorite menu. As usual, all the residents of this campus never thought I existed, and no one wanted to approach me, except for a baby demon with the head and tail of a fox in tattered clothes. The creature used to play around by hanging and tugging at the back of my shirt. Other than that creature, no one will care about me. Even the cafeteria waiter often if I have ordered food because he never remembers me. Even though I have never neglected to sit on a corner bench in this cafeteria. But on this campus, no one has a quieter life than me.

When I sat on the cafeteria bench while enjoying orange juice in my hand, my ears overheard several students around me talking about something related to the events that Mother told me last night.

"Do you know? In the past few months, Family Dream Hospital has lost several babies."

"Now, about that. Someone said the babies were stolen by some strange creature."

"Vampire huh? Vampires like to suck blood, right? He's taken the baby somewhere, then the vampire sucks the blood."

"It makes more sense that the leak was the one who stole the baby. You can see, a vampire doesn't need to steal babies, while Leak likes to eat human babies."

"That's right."

That's how humans are, they can only assume. Too many things happened, but they couldn't confirm the truth.

After more than five minutes I have been sitting steadily in the cafeteria, suddenly a girl waved her hand behind my back like hitting the wind.

A few seconds after the little demon fell silent behind me, the girl broke the silence that was too attached to me, "Have you ordered food yet?" then the girl sat on my right.

I didn't know who she was, I didn't intend to turn to look at her. It seems the girl who pretends to know is my classmate, because who else will greet me if not my classmate.

I don't know if this is luck or a new problem in my life. What is clear, she is the first girl who reprimanded me on this campus.

"Yes, but the cafeteria man probably forgot."

"How come?" said the girl, turning to the place where the order was placed. "Oh, hmm... what's your name?" the girl asked.

"Nando," I replied.

"I just found out that you also study at this campus."

His words made me feel a little curious about who she was. However, when I turned around, I was a bit surprised to see the girl who was now sitting next to me.

"I thought that you had Avoidant Personality Discover," the girl snapped me out of the temper I'd just experienced.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

The girl explained, "Personality disorder, in which sufferers avoid social interactions because they feel they are inferior to others."

The girl was silent for a moment with her gaze directed at me, then added, "You are very special though. I didn't expect someone like you to have such an extraordinary ability."

"I don't want anyone to know about this," I said with a more serious look so he wouldn't think I was playing games.

The girl nodded, then said, "Chill out man!"

The cafeteria waiter handed the girl a glass of apple juice.

"Ouh, Sir. Why isn't the food he ordered just now made?" the girl asked, pointing at it using her chin.

"Good grief! I'm sorry, Boy," said the waiter, then immediately rushed back.

"What's your name?" I asked.

The girl smirked. "I just found out that there are people who don't know my name on this campus," the girl stopped her words, but not with her gaze. A moment later, she held out her hand to me. Then I shook it too. "Shally," said the girl with a smile.

It turned out to be a girl named Shally. That name is often called by students in my class. I do not deny her beauty. So, it's only natural that many young people are talking about it. However, I'm not a person who cares too much about those kinds of things.

"Nando," I said before letting go of my handshake.

"I know," she said, then took a sip of the apple juice in front of her.

I studied the girl's entire body, not to notice the shape of the body that makes so many young men on my campus like a cat looking like a mouse, but to look for a wound that my mother didn't have time to stitch up last night. However, last night's events seemed like a dream that never happened in the real world. I couldn't find a single wound on her body, so she had to explain.

"Why can't I find a single wound on your body?"
