Chapter 4 Like a date

It's been a week since our presentation. I've been looking forward in our school prom. Will I attend or not? Maybe not. Since Chris broke up with me, I never attended in proms, oh there was no proms when he left! It was summer. Last prom, I danced on my own. There were guys that wanted to dance with me but I didn't want to dance with them.

Today is Sunday so my brother is with her girlfriend and my sister is with her friends and I'm left alone in our house. I went downstairs because I was a little bored in my room.

I sat on our sofa and turned on our tv but I wasn't watching. I was just on my phone scrolling, watching and just doing things I like.

Nich sent me an emoji on Instagram chats. But it was a poop. I felt so weird I accidentally spited out the orange juice I was drinking.

I asked him immediately. "What?"

It took 20 minutes for him to answer. Maybe because he was busy and he said, "No, it was a wrong send." And I finally got a relief. I was so bored so I decided to give my dog a walk.

"Hey are you coming to the prom?" I was startled when I was walking down the street to walk my dog.

I looked behind me and I saw Nich I was so confused about his question but I answered him. "Oh, I'm.... really not sure yet.... You?"

And he smiled and replied, "No, I don't like proms."

To be honest, he's cuter in a jacket. He looks like a man!!! He's wearing a brown jacket with a bits shirt and he's also wearing a ripped jeans.

I was looking at him when I said, "Why???"

I really don't know what he said cause I was so distracted from his looks but I'm pretty sure he said "Nah nothing don't really wanna talk about it."

I didn't hear the other things he said cause my dog was barking so loud and I was thinking of him.

He suddenly asked me, "Do you wanna go to the mall? I mean if you're not busy."

A mall?!?! Yas yas I want to!!!!

Oh, but I said, "Uhmm... I have to save up money I need to buy something else." He nodded his head

"I can buy what you want"

What?!?!?!?! He'll buy me what I want?!?!?!? Yas yas yas please I would like to but I need to put out my pride first before the things I want.

"Uhm... no it's ok"

He made a cute face and added, "Let's just go to a mall I can buy you what you want and we can eat there if you're not busy."

What!?!?!?! Yes please treat me!!!!!

But I said, "You mean like a date????" I said that even though I don't know what I was talking about. He made a worried face that's when I knew he wants to go on a date with me but maybe i was just being so foolish.

"Yeah like a date. I mean you know, a friendship date something like that?" He said and I laughed at him.

He smiled and said, "What? Are You coming?"

And I said with laughter "Yeah I will or whatever."

He smiled and he's obviously happy and I am too. He added, "I'll pick you up by 2:30 pm or something, okay?"

And I just nodded my head.

Nich beeped his car in front of our house and again I thought he would be the one who's driving but it was his driver who was driving.

I forgot to tell this to my brother so when I was about to open the door he asked me, "Where are you going?" And okay that's it! I knew this would happen.

I answered, "Nevermind. Bye" He was trying to stop me but I hurried a little more.

When I got in the car, I saw Nich on a flesh aesthetic jeans with a flesh aesthetic hoodie. It suits him. But still he looks better in a uniform, but he still looks good!

He spoke, "You look good"

Did he just said I look good????? Omg! I felt worthy.

"What?" I said and he answered "Nothing" and he smiled and looked in the window.

I know that he said I look good I just wanted to confirm it. It was an awkward ride. I looked at him and when he looked at me I looked in the window. Few seconds later, it happened again but in a different way he looked at me and I felt that he did so I looked at him and he looked at the window.

A few minutes later, we arrived at the mall. We firstly went to a shoe shop it's called, "Shoe shop"

"I think this will fit you, and your outfit." Nich said while holding a pair of pink high hills. It kills me! is he insulting me or something? I hate pink!

"I hate the color pink" And he looked so disappointed and said, "oh ok... what about this one? What do you think?"

He showed me a black new balance rubber shoes. It looks cute "I'll try it on" he smiled and I put it on but darn! It doesn't fit me so I removed it. "It doesn't fit my foot."

We went on a book store it really looks sooooo amazing! There are thousands of books in there! of course there's a lot of books this is a bookstore duh! Abby, pull yourself together!

"So, buy everything you want" All I did was to put on a lot of books in my cart. I think I had 357 books in a cart.

A few minutes later I showed it to Nich he was so shocked "whoa you are really a book lover. No wonder why you are so smart." I just smiled darn it I forgot my brother will judge me again if he saw these books!!!

We were in the cashier. I gave my credit card to the cashier girl but before I did, Nich touched my hand and stopped me. Is he going to pay for it??? No way. That is so shameless. These are so expensive.

"Let me, how much is it?" I looked into the cashier.

The cashier said, "1,629 dollars."

He gave 2,000 dollars and said, "Keep the change" And the cashier looked at me like I did something bad.

"You got everything you want now? Let's go on a food park over there I'm a bit hungry" He wrapped his arms around me and people were looking. It was so darn embarrassing. People was talking about us.

I heard someone saying, "OMG! That guy is an ideal perfect boyfriend nice, cute, and loving" and they laughed I wonder if Nich is doing this on a purpose or he just really want to make me feel comfortable.

"Boogshh!!!!!! booggshhh!!!!!"

People were hurrying up. They were racing to the arena.

I asked a girl running.

"hey what's going on?"

She smiled at me and said "You won't believe it! Billie Eilish is in the arena!!!"

I was so shocked! I was out of control so I grabbed Nich's hand and run,

"Wait, where are we going?" Nich asked me with a curious face.

I said "To the arena!!!" I yelled at him and he replied to me, "But you have a curfew in your house right? You need to be there by 7:30 p.m"

I smiled at him and just said, "Come on, it's only 7:00 we can make it." I grabbed his hand until we made it to the arena.

It was so noisy, a lot of people were shouting,

🎵You called me again drunk in your benz driving home under the influence you scared me to death but I'm wasting my breath cause you only listen to your friends🎵

I was shouting and smiling at the same time. I felt Nich looking at me but I dont mind until I can't see anymore I only hear her singing but I can't see her. The smile in my face was fade away and nich asked me.

"What's the matter?"

I dont want him to worry again so I said, "Nothing"

I guess he was just so smart and he knew that I can't see it so he said,

"Get on my back"

I was so curious about how he knew it but that's doesn't matter "Are you sure I think I'm a bit heavy."

He just nodded his head. He carried me until I saw Billie. But it turns out, I wasn't watching Billie either listening to her anymore.

I was looking at Nich. I was just touching his hair. his curly blonde hair. It smells so good like a baby. I can feel his body. I guess he's just really strong enough to carry me like this. I sighed I dont know if I like him or not. I forgot that we are watching a concert. He put me down and I looked into my watch. Oh we can make it!

"Hey. It's 7:24, I think we can make it" and I grabbed his hands on the way to the car. He helped his driver put up the books that we bought in the back of his car and the other stuff that we bought. While we were in the car, it was complete silence. I looked at him and he looked at me, he smiled. He is so cute. It's killing me. He looks cute with that smile.

And then, we made it to my house I tried to open the door but it was locked. Oh darn it!!!!! My stupid brother locked me again how dare he!

"Oh, I think I'm locked" I said and he tried to open it too but it's locked. I sighed. I walked and he was following me. I sat on a bench beside our house and he sat beside me. He looked at me and gave me that killer smile again it was really cute.

"Did you enjoy the half of the day? " He asked me.

I answered, "Yeah, but only if my brother didn't locked me up like this"

He laughed and that made me laugh too.

"Can I ask you a question, why do you like billie's music?"

I was curious about it.

"Why are you asking me that? Don't you like billie?" I asked him and he replied to me,

"No, im just asking you" I smiled this is the first time I will tell someone something about it I really dont want to but maybe its time.

"Just promise me you won't tell anyone" he nod his head and smiled i continued talking....

"There's this one time, when I fell in love in the unexpected time with the unexpected guy. He was cute, funny, and nice. We met online. On a dating app. He didn't tell me his real name so I didn't tell him mine either. But there's this one time we met on a cafè. I knew it was really him. I saw it in the pictures. That's how everything started. And we became friends to lovers. And we broke up." I sighed. He looked at me and tapped my back his hand was really cold. My tears fell down. He looked at me again and wiped my tears.

"That's okay" he said and he smiled.

His smile made me smile...and then, my brother came along he went off his car and went inside our house.

"Oh he's here I think you should go now."
