Chapter Four

Three weeks later, she is trying to forget everything that has happened. Even at night, she still has nightmares. 'David no longer showed him and she was grateful. She also heard that her boyfriend, Martin, was not in the country. She left the day David picked her up and took her to the hut. She was wondering why he didn't say goodbye when he went out of the country. Well, she didn't pay much attention either. In a way, she felt relief because she didn't have the courage to face her Martin at this time. She also did not know how to deal with him after what happened.

"Goodbye and thank you. See you tomorrow."

At once, her students bid their goodbyes before they approached her and waved their hands at her.

She sighed. Lucy doesn't want to end the class for the day. Because when she has class, she entertains herself. She forgets even for a moment what she went through. She is also afraid to stay up late and sleep to avoid nightmares.

She was tidying up all the utensils on her desk when someone knocked on the door.

She turned there.

Her hand trembled, so she let go of the stapler she was holding. She could feel the discoloration on her face as she stared at the flesh man of her nightmares.

It was leaning against the door jamb as it folded.

"D-David..." she said. Her voice was quivering and she sounded scared as she was.

He grinned, stood up straight and mumbled while not taking his gaze away from her. Extreme fear enveloped his entire body. His hands were cold and slightly trembling.

"Hello," he said sarcastically, the corner of his mouth raised.

It walked closer to him. And with each step forward, he also steps backwards. Until his leg hit the chair. He lost his balance, so he sat down on the floor.

Mael bent down and sat down in front of him. "Miss me?" David's asked. Standing still as eyes stared at her. He raised one hand and leaned forward to touch her cheek.

She shrugged and quickly averted her face from his hand. She closed her eyes firmly. fear of waiting to see what he would do next.

But a few seconds passed without a hand perched on her. She slowly opened her eyes. She met his eyes full of longing. The expression on David's face was soft.

"I missed you ..." he said hoarsely.

His voice was also full of longing, as if he was having a hard time. And it was as though Lucy had seen the young David again. The boy always defended her from those who used to hurt her. The boy always divided his food to give her. The boy promised to protect her at all times.

But she knew it was just deception. That child is gone. Who is in front of her now is the demon that disrespected her.

Her tears rolled down her cheeks, not out of fear but out of regret because she knew that during the hours she had been exploited, that child had also disappeared.

She felt angry at him. Does he miss it? That horrible thing he did to her? She balled her hands. She wanted to hurt him, scratch his face with her own claws. But she could not find the courage to do so. She didn't grow up violent, but this time, she wanted to kill the man.

She was surprised when he grabbed both of her shoulders and guided her upright. She immediately removed his hand that was holding her. She was disgusted and seemed to want to turn her stomach over.

David walked over to her desk and collected her things and put them inside her bag. He grabbed her shoulder bag then turned to her.

"Those are my things!" Even though she was trembling with fear, she stopped him. David's eyes also became grim. Lucy's eyes roamed arround looking for someone to ask for help.

"No. I'll take you."

She was alarmed at what he said. "I don't want to! I'm not going with you!" she almost hysterically shouts at David.

His eyes deepened. "I'm not asking for your opinion, Lucy. I'll drive you home and don't test my patience! " He shouted.

The corners of her eyes wattered with tears. There was nothing she could do when David walked to the door. She, on the other hand, seems to have been stabbed in her position.

David stopped and turned around before finally exiting. "Let's go," he said with a threatening tone in his voice.

As if her feet had their own mind, they walked towards David's direction. She followed him all the way to the parking lot. She met some students who greeted her, but she was not in herself to greet them back.

"Get in."

David opened the passenger seat and when she did not move, he grabbed her by the arm and forcibly guided her into his car. She clung to the door so that it would not close.

"P-please, David, I want to go home ..." her voice trembled as she pleaded to him.

His expression was just blank staring at her. "I'll take you home."

She shook her head quickly. She didn't believe he would take her home with nothing to do with her. Her body began to tremble with fear engulfing her. She did not want to repeat what he did. She had to get away, to get away from David.

She felt his arms hug her trembling body.

"I'm not going to hurt you. I'll take you home with no scars. Please, calm down," he said softly. She could feel him caressing her back.

She closes her eyes. She didn't want to believe what he was saying, but she didn't know what was in his voice, and she felt that he was telling the truth, that David wouldn't do anything to hurt her.

But Lucy, she did! She pushed him away, but she couldn't get away from him.

David let her go, but he did not leave in front of her. He buckled her seat belt, closed the door, and circled in the driver's seat without saying anything.

She huddled by the window, as if she'd be safe if David did something bad to her. David gave her a brief glance before sighing and starting the car.
