Chapter 5 Punishment

When Jewel and Farris stepped into the luxurious elevator reserved solely for the CEO's face, an electrifying fragrance assaulted Farris' nostrils. There were no buttons inside the elevator, only a fingerprint machine.

Jewel placed her hand on the machine, and the elevator began to move. Soon, they arrived at the CEO's office.

When the doors opened, a picturesque scenery filled Farris' field of view. In front of him was a top-of-the-line office with furniture made from top-grade. Antiques adorned every corner of the luxurious workspace.

The French windows gave the entire office a panoramic view of the bustling city below.

Farris walked into the office and stared at a window in utter astonishment. A surge of excitement gripped his heart when he realized he could see the entire city from there!

He was ecstatic that he had become the CEO of this great company!

It took Farris some time to collect his thoughts and calm down, and Jewel remained by his side, quietly waiting.

Then, with a deep sigh, Farris turned around and sat down behind the desk. Jewel quickly walked over and handed him a cup of hot tea and two documents.

As Farris received the documents, he couldn't help properly looking at Jewel.

It was the first time that he was taking a serious look at the woman in front of him. Her skin was as white as snow, and her curvy figure was a perfect feast for the eyes. These features made her look capable.

Salter had briefed Farris about Jewel before he arrived at the company. She was a top graduate of Harvard Business School. She started her political climb at the grassroots level and reached second in command at Sky Corp. in just five years. Her capability was not in doubt.

Unbeknownst to Farris, Jewel was secretly observing him, too. Many rumors about the group's mysterious new boss had been making the rounds for some time. Although she had called him over the phone last night, this was the first time she had seen him.

Although Farris' clothes were so tattered that he could pass for a tramp, a noble aura was emanating off him.

"Mr. Leopard, these two documents address our current operational direction, cover all our financial reports, and contain a comprehensively detailed list of the company's leaders. The market value of our company is-"

"There's no need for all that now. I have only two things to do today," Farris said, interrupting her.

Jewel straightened her posture nervously, awaiting his directive.

"I don't want to see Luka Davis in this company ever again. Have a look at this," Farris coldly said, handing her a document.

Jewel received the document and looked at it. The longer she read it, the darker her expression grew.

The document contained evidence of Luka's corruption and abuse of power. He had used his position to seduce and violate many women in the past few years.

Jewel broke out in a cold sweat and stuttered, "S-Sir, it's all m-my fault. I-"

Farris interrupted her once more, with a wave of his hand this time. "I've just taken over Sky Corp., and you're my competent assistant. I don't want this sort of thing to repeat itself. If you continue to turn a blind eye to employees like this, then you'll be the next one booted out from this company!"

Jewel nodded anxiously.

A slight knock resounded from behind them, and a female secretary walked into the room with a document file containing the cooperation proposal drawn up by the purchasing department.

The plan presented arrangements for cooperation with the Jackson Family, whose legal owner was Ines.

There was another document in the file: it contained a list of employees due for promotion, and Luka's name was on the list!

Jewel, who Farris had just scolded, scowled when she spotted Luka's name on the list.

She grabbed the promotion recommendation document from the secretary and fed it to a paper shredder nearby.

"Jenny, tell the director of the HR department that Sky Corp. has fired Luka. He is to be banned from the premises and not allowed to work in this industry ever again!" Handing the stunned secretary the document Farris gave her, Jewel continued, "Make a copy of this document and give it to police. Tell me they are to arrest Luka immediately!"

Her directive was shocking, and her gaze was fierce.

The female secretary, Jenny Norman, was momentarily at a loss for words and couldn't help freezing in shock.

Jewel frowned. "Hurry up!"

Jenny left in a hurry and rushed to the HR department.

In the purchasing department's reception room, the atmosphere was merry.

Luka didn't know his good days were at an end. With a confident smile on his face, he said, "Don't worry, Ines. There's no problem with our cooperation."

Then, he took a secret glance at Ines' snow-white plump breasts and swallowed hard.

He pulled out a cigarette and lit it, sucked in a deep breath, and exhaled a cloud of smoke. "Truth be told, after our cooperation, I'm getting promoted to the board of directors. If you want to cooperate with me again, it'll be easy."

Ines flashed a seductive smile and said, "I knew you could do it. If we get the project, I will personally show you how grateful I can be."

Then, she inched closer to Luka.

Moments later, half her body was leaning against his.

When her soft skin pressed against his body, Luka gulped in excitement, and his hands began to fondle her body relentlessly.

Before things could get heated, however, the door burst open with a loud bang!

The director of the HR department stormed into the room with several security guards in tow. He looked around the room and spotted Luka's hand resting on Ines' inner thigh.

A look of disgust emerged on his face, and he said, "The board of directors has approved the immediate sack and subsequent ban of Luka Davis, the manager of the purchase department! Not only will he never be hired here again, but the planned cooperation with the companies legally represented by Ines Jackson has also been called off. Henceforth, Luka Davis and Ines Jackson will be barred from working in this industry!"

Then, the HR department's director waved his hand and bellowed, "Take him away!"

Luka, whose expression had slowly paled in shock, suddenly regained his bearings and screamed, "No! That's impossible! I have dedicated over ten years of my life to Sky Corp.! I'm also a founding member of this company! I am to be promoted to the board of directors! You have no right to drive me away! I won't allow it!"

Luka's crazy tirade didn't deter the HR department's director, who sneered in reply. "Luka, do you think we don't know what you've been doing for all these years?

You're accused of accepting multiple bribes and betraying the company. You've also been involved in many crimes. Just wait for your jail time!

Besides, it was the CEO's order to fire you!"

With his world collapsing around him, Luka was eager to clutch at straws. At the mention of the CEO, his eyes reddened even further.

Suddenly, he fell to his knees, grabbed the director's legs, and shouted, "CEO! Where is the CEO? I want to see him! I'm loyal to the company. If you force my hand again, I'll kill myself on the spot!"

Luka scampered over to a wall and pretended to be on the brink of madness, ready to smash his head into the hall. However, to his utmost horror, nobody moved to stop him. They just stared coldly at him as though they didn't think he'd do it.

"I-I still have the group's confidential data! I'll leak all of it! I will sell it to all the competitors!"

Luka shouted hysterically.

Contempt and ridicule appeared in the eyes of the onlookers.

How could a man be so shameless!

At the top floor, Farris, who was sitting in the CEO's office, watched the unfolding drama on a monitor.

There was an expression of great interest on his face.

When Farris heard Luka threatened to disclose the company's confidential information, his countenance changed.

Then, he smiled at Jewel and said, "Bring him up.

Let's make things quick and easy for him!"
