Chapter 5 Magic Jungle

It was already dark when Trevin and Vera returned from the Glory Restaurant. Just as they entered the courtyard, Trevin saw that Ethan was waiting for him.

Surprise registered on Trevin's face. Ethan was busy every day, because he was the patriarch of the Lawton family, one of the five top families in the Riverham City. Today, he actually had time to see his son. Trevin was puzzled, wondering why his father came here.

"Dad, why are you here?" Trevin and Vera spoke at the same time. Back then, Trevin found Vera living on the street and brought her back home. Ethan had no daughter, so he just recognized Vera as his adopted daughter.

"I'm free today, so I drop by. How have you been?" Ethan laughed and said to Trevin.

"I'm doing great. Dad, don't worry about me. I'm fine," Trevin said with a smile.

Hearing this, Ethan nodded, "Great. By the way, I heard that you defeated Andrew today. Is it true?" He looked at Trevin with hope in his eyes.

"How is that possible? Dad, did you hear it wrong?" Vera said in surprise. She knew that Andrew, who was Harold's lackey, was at the fourth level of Body-Refining Realm. However, Trevin was only at the third level, so how could he defeat Andrew?
