Chapter 4 Vera Lawton

Just as everyone thought that Trevin was frozen in fear, Andrew had been very close to Trevin with his fierce punch. The blast of wind parted the hair on Trevin's forehead and revealed his handsome face.

"Go to hell! Loser!"

Andrew laughed sinisterly. It was as if he had knocked Trevin down and got the reward from Harold. Although Trevin said that he was willing to fight, Andrew knew that he couldn't take the consequence if he really killed Trevin in public. Andrew was arrogant, but he was not stupid. He only wanted Trevin to lie on the bed for a few days.

However, Trevin suddenly moved. He raised his hand and grabbed Andrew's fist easily.

Then Trevin tightened his grip on it with a wicked smile before forcefully twisting Andrew's hand.

Then Andrew's bones cracked. His arm was twisted and deformed. The sleeve was also shattered by Trevin's power. The bone pierced through Andrew's skin and blood flowed everywhere.

Andrew let out a miserable scream. His face turned white as a sheet. The pain on his arm made Andrew's ugly face even more ferocious. The fierceness in him had disappeared, only leaving him endless fear.

Then Trevin ruthlessly kicked Andrew in the stomach. The strength made Andrew fly high and then drop like a boulder. Then he blacked out.

Until he fainted, Andrew didn't know why he was defeated by Trevin. Wasn't Trevin a piece of trash?

But Andrew did not know that Trevin was not that loser before. Instead, he was a lion that was about to wake up from his long nap.

Trevin clapped his hands. He did not even look at Andrew. He said to the other servants around him, "Find two people to tidy him up."

The servants could only nod automatically. Their eyes were filled with horror, as if they had seen something unbelievable.

Trevin shook his head helplessly. After fighting with Andrew, he did not have the mood to go to the training square anymore. So, he went back to his room to cultivate the Nine Reincarnation Esoterica. Three months seemed to be a very long time, but Trevin knew that cultivation needed more. Trevin frowned. Did Harold come to take revenge on him for Andrew?

The door creaked as he opened it. Then Trevin was shocked, as if he had seen something incredible.

A girl in a pink dress was standing at the door. The girl was about thirteen or fourteen years old. She had smooth, long, black hair. Her dark eyes glinted with joy. She also had a lovely heart-shaped face, a straight and pretty nose, and a small mouth like a cherry. She had this charming smile and fair skin. She just looked like a fairy who came to the world for the first time.

Trevin did not say anything after opening the door. He stared at the girl like an idiot. At first, the girl was curious. But then her face flushed with shyness. "Trevin!"

Trevin finally figured out what was going on after being called by the girl. He looked very surprised. "Vera, are you done with your cultivation?"

Trevin finally said something, so Vera smiled happily as she pulled Trevin's hands. "Of course! I came out early this morning. But someone was not in his room when I came over. And now he's staring at me like an idiot. He did not even ask how I am."

Then Vera pouted her mouth and looked at Trevin discontentedly.

And Trevin felt a little embarrassed. He knew that Vera was talking about him. He wanted to explain, but he was afraid that Vera would misunderstand him. In the end, Trevin only said, "Well, I'll make breakfast for you."

Trevin remembered he had fallen back to the third level of Body-Refining Realm when Vera started her cultivation. All the Lawtons were laughing at him. Only Vera and his father, Ethan, were protecting him. And Vera started her cultivation because she wanted to protect Trevin from being bullied by others. She had made it in the past three years.

Moreover, Vera was not Trevin's biological sister. She used to be an orphan. Trevin brought her back to the family from Riverham City when he was ten years old.

"But compared to you, I'm not good enough." Vera smiled slyly. Now she looked like a little witch.

"You know you don't have to compete with me." Trevin stroked Vera's hair helplessly and rubbed her head. He made a mess of it, which annoyed Vera again.

The morning passed quickly when they were chatting and playing around. Then Trevin suddenly remembered that they both forgot to eat breakfast.

If his stomach did not give an enormous rumble, Trevin wouldn't have noticed it.

"Let's go. To celebrate my cute little sister coming out and becoming a Martial Master, I'll treat you at the Glory Restaurant." Trevin pulled Vera's hand and walked out of the Lawton Mansion.
