Chapter 2 A Wonderful Gift

All of this was too shocking and ridiculous!

Jasmine was willing to put her own life at risk for Laney, but her closest friend herself actually came up with the plan to ruin her virginity and pushed her into the abyss forever....

"Why?"

Jasmine stared at the woman standing beside the bed, her eyes filled with confusion and grief. She couldn't understand the smile on Laney's face. She looked dreadfully unfamiliar. Jasmine felt she had never known her!

She could not understand why Laney had betrayed their years of friendship. Has all these years of friendship been a sham?

In Jasmine's memory, Laney was always gentle, kind, and considerate to everyone. When did she become this vicious?

Laney sneered and shouted, losing her temper,

"Why? Because you stole the man I love! You're just an incompetent good-for-nothing and you're not as good as me in everything. You get everyone's favor just because you're the third young miss of the Farley Clan. Everyone is all over you. Jasmine, you know what? I hate you..."

She roared hysterically.

Every time Laney saw Jasmine and Parker being so happy together, she wished she could tear Jasmine's face apart!

"I didn't know you were in love with Parker!"

Jasmine was so shocked that it took her so long before she could collect herself. Helplessness and sadness were obvious in her eyes.

Jasmine and Laney had grown up together among the wolves and were as close as real sisters. Jasmine had never expected the day would come when they turned against each other!

Laney lived with wolves since she was a baby and had known nothing of human language. When Jasmine was five, she got lost in the Beast Mountain and was saved by Laney.

Jasmine named her Laney and even taught her the human language.

They had lived together for a long time with the wolves. It wasn't until five or six years ago that Jasmine was found and got back to the Farley Clan!

After returning to the Farley Clan, Jasmine still regarded Laney as her best friend. Jasmine was afraid that Laney would get bullied by others, so she ventured all over the world to look for medicinal pills for Laney.

No matter what treasure Jasmine got, she wouldn't hesitate to give them to Laney to raise her cultivation base and make her stronger.

Because Laney had said that she would protect Jasmine for the rest of her life, and they would be best friends forever...

What a ridiculous promise!

Because of her lack of talent, Jasmine's cultivation base had grown extremely slowly. A few years had passed and she was still the worst of her sisters. Even her servants were stronger than her.

If it weren't for her status, how could she have survived in the cruel, dangerous Farley Clan?

She had devoted herself to them, only to find herself heartlessly betrayed and tortured in return. Beside her... were all vicious snakes!

Jasmine felt cold. In retrospect, the only reason why the elders in the family had been so kind to Jasmine was because they wanted to take advantage of her abilities!

Laney only saw Jasmine's infinite glory, but she had never thought of the efforts Jasmine had made to survive in the Farley Clan.

But Laney felt so delighted, so good to see the heartbroken Jasmine. Finally, this day came.

She snorted, not taking seriously the hatred in Jasmine's eyes. "Well.... Don't be so upset. Relax. I still got a wonderful gift for you!"

Laney just wanted Jasmine to suffer. The more miserable Jasmine was... the happier Laney would be.

While she was speaking, she walked to the table at a brisk pace and pulled off the thick cloth covering the tray... A bloody head immediately fell to the ground!

Before Jasmine could regain her senses from the words "wonderful gift", she saw her mother's head rolling towards her. It was a great blow to her. Dizzy, Jasmine almost faint.
