Chapter 5: Crystal

I could not believe I am getting married. I have loved Nicholas ever since we were children. I know a lot of guys have been looking at me, but I do not care for them. Nicholas was the only man for me. Nicholas and I were going to move to Paris with his cousin. Nicholas wanted to be a lawyer and he is planning on going to law school to get his law degree once we go to Paris. Samantha told me that Paul's brother was looking at me. I did not tell Nicholas about the man. I wish I could see Samantha, but she was not going out very much. Nicholas and I went to see a play. Later, Nicholas was walking me home. I felt like someone was following us. The footsteps were getting closer and before I got a chance to say anything someone had grabbed Nicholas and threw him across the street. I started running to get help, but the person caught up with me and knocked me out. I was not fully unconscious. I could feel someone pick me up and kiss my forehead. I saw Nicholas face down on the street. I was scared and I saw darkness. Later I woke up with a headache. I was lying on a bed. The room I was in was big. My whole body hurts. I was scared and I was worried about Nicholas. Someone came into the room. I saw it was Victor Connor. "How are you feeling, my love?" Victor asks. "Why are you doing this?!" I ask angrily. "I love you, and I could not let you marry that jerk!" Victor replied. "Please let me go!" I pleaded. "I cannot do that. You belong to me, my love. Please do not fight me on this," Victor pleaded. I was crying and I could not stop. Victor was hugging me. I will make you happy and you will learn to love me," Victor replied. Victor had his way with me and he bit me. I felt a burning pain going through my body and then the pain was gone. Victor told me he was a vampire and he turned me into a vampire. Victor kept me locked up in the room and he would not let me go out. I wonder if Samantha was here. Samantha came rushing into my room. "Are you ok?" Samantha asks. "Yes, I am scared and I am worried about Nicholas," I replied sadly. "I wish I could help, but Paul would kill me if I help," Samantha replied sadly. Nicholas Nicholas woke up in a room. A man walks into the room. "My name is Charles Carmichael. "Where is Crystal?!" Nicholas asks. "I am sorry, but I only found you. I did not see another person with you," Charles replied. "I have to find Crystal!" Nicholas yells. "You cannot do anything right now. The sun is about to come out and the sun will kill you. We are nightwalkers. Do you remember what happened?" Henry asks. "I do not remember very much. I just remember walking Crystal home and someone attacked me. I did not see their faces because it happened so fast," Nicholas explained. "I think you were attacked by another vampire. I do not know if it was a daywalker or a nightwalker. Have you noticed anyone following you?" Charles asks. "No, I have not," Nicholas replied. "I think this vampire kidnapped Crystal for a mate," Charles suggests. "We have to find her!" Nicholas pleaded. "We will, but it will not be easy," Charles warns Nicholas. Nicholas was worried about Crystal. Nicholas asks Charles if he could talk to his cousin Matthew. Charles agrees to let him go.
