Chapter 4: Sara

I could not believe I was getting married in a week. I was really nervous. My wedding was not going to be big and only a few people were coming to the wedding. Paul's brother Victor, sisters Helen, and Heather were coming. My foster parents were also coming to the wedding, but Samantha was not coming. I miss Samantha and Henry. I was hoping Paul would let me write Samantha. Helen was going to be my bridesmaid. Helen and I became really good friends. Later, I was reading my book in my room when I saw Samantha. "What are you doing here?!" I ask, surprised. Samantha told me that a woman named Isabelle told her that our parents came from Mars. Samantha also told me everything that Isabelle told her. Samantha told me that we can see each other through mirrors. When Samantha came to visit me, she would be invisible and I would be the only one that could see her. I always knew we were different, but I did not think we came from another planet. The next day I was getting my wedding dress ready. I wish Samantha could have come to my wedding, but it was not safe for her to come. Helen threw me a wedding shower. I got a lot of gifts. I was wearing my mother's locket. I will not speak to Paul until we are married. Paul already gave me an engagement ring. The ring had a big diamond on it. Paul was a handsome man. I wonder if Paul knew I was not Samantha would he still want to marry me. I try to get these questions out of my head. The next day was my wedding. Crystal and Nicholas came to my wedding. I saw Victor looking at Crystal. Crystal walks up to me. "Hey, I am hoping you can come to Nicholas and my wedding," Crystal requested. "I will try to come. You know Paul's brother Victor has been looking at you," I replied. "He can look all he wants because I am marrying Nicholas," Crystal replied. I saw that Victor was still watching and he looked angry. "You might want to lower your voice. I think Victor heard what you said and he looks angry," I warn Crystal. Later, Paul and I were already on our honeymoon. Paul carries me to bed. We make love. I really love Paul. We made love again and we went to sleep. Paul had his arms wrapped around me. I woke up because I felt Paul on top of me and the next thing I knew he bit me. My skin was burning and my heart was racing. My mouth and my gums felt funny. The burning pain was gone and I was calm. Paul told me that he was a vampire and he turned me into a vampire. I could not believe that not only I was an alien, but I was also a vampire too. The next day I wanted to go out, but Paul would not let me. I was angry. I am glad Samantha did not marry Paul. Samantha marries a man that gave her freedom. I felt like a prisoner in my own home. Paul told me that we were not allowed to talk to humans. I did not like Heather because she was weird. Paul did give me a lot of gifts, but I still wanted to go outside. Helen told me that Victor and Paul will not let her go out either. I was sitting by myself when Samantha came to visit me. I did not tell Samantha that Paul was keeping me prisoner because I did not want her to worry.
