Chapter 4 The love starts with friendship

In the morning, Marjorie goes to school early. She was walking in the hallway. She saw Sam and became shy.

"Oh? good morning! you're early" he said.

"Good morning" she said without looking at him.

After they greet, they sit on their chairs and become quiet.

"Marjorie? Is it okay if I sing here?" Sam asked her.

Marjorie's face blushed and became shy. She controls herself not to express that she really wants to hear it.

"O...okay, no problem," she said.

Her heart beats fast and her face becomes red. Sam came to her and touched her face.

"Wait, Are you sick? Your face becomes red and you're hot" he said.

"N...no, I'm fine, don't worry. It's a little bit hot" she said.

But Sam sees that the aircon was turned on.

"Go back to your chair. Just do what you hehe" awkwardly she said.

Sam looked at her and after a few minutes he started to play his guitar. He started to sing. Marjorie tried to calm herself by slapping her face. She stops doing that when she hears Sam singing. She can't move because he hears Sam's voice. She looked at him and Sam nodded to her and continued singing.

"An arrow shot into my heart" she whispered and put her hand to her chest.

She was deeply in love with his voice. Marjorie is secretly in love with Sam. One year ago, Marjorie was bullied by the other girl in their school. Sam suddenly appeared and protected her from the bullies. Sam didn't remember her. Marjorie at that time had a chubby body that's why he can't recognize her. Marjorie fell in love with him and did her best to be his classmate.

Sam's phone suddenly rings. She was suddenly back to her mind and listened to him.

"Hello baby?" he said.

Then, she became annoyed. She heard a girl wanted to see him and Sam saying some sweet words. When turn off his phone. Another girl called him. Marjorie totally forgot that this man is a playboy. Sam rushed himself to go somewhere. Marjorie was left alone and standing. Callista saw her.

"You're early. What happened?" she asked

Marjorie suddenly hugged her. Callista doesn't have any idea. Mara came to the classroom and saw Callista and Marjorie hug each other.

"What romance is that?" she joked.

Callista said to Mara she doesn't know what happened.

Another day, today is Saturday. Marjorie shopping alone. She is wearing jeans and a blue shirt with high heels. She went to the mall and she accidentally saw Sam with another girl near to her. It seems like they are arguing. A girl looks 24 years old because of her mature face. She is wearing a sexy dress with heels.

Marjorie wanted to act like he's a stranger. She tried to walk away. But someone held her hand. It was Sam.

"Why walk away?" he said.

"Huh?" she said.

She is confused and doesn't know what is happening. Sam holds her hand.

"Chloe, the reason why I can't be with you it's because I'm in love with this girl. She's my girlfriend" he said.

Marjorie is so shocked. She doesn't know why he said it. Sam look at her and signing "Act please"

The girl named Chloe looked at her. From bottom to top and change her attitude showing that she doesn't like Marjorie.

"Why do I like her? She's not even beautiful and not sexy. I'm better than her. I can even make you happy in bed" Chloe said.

Marjorie changed her mood. She's gone mad with that girl.

"Well, Sam doesn't want a girl who looks like a sugar mommy like you. My face is younger than yours. Besides, Sam really loves me right baby? I can even make him happy in bed since I'm a wild cat" Marjorie said and held the chest of Sam attempting to kiss him. She smiled confidently and rolled her eyes.

Sam was shocked because he realized the beauty of Marjorie. He wants to kiss her but he controls himself. Chloe leaves crying and the two act normal again.

"Thank you Marjorie! you are so amazing" he said.

"I'm sorry because of that. Thank you again" he added.

Marjorie didn't know why she did that. She came back to her senses.

"It's okay," she said.

"I need to go," she added.

"Wait, let me treat you for helping me," Sam said.

"No, it's okay," she said.

Sam didn't listen to her and he grabbed her hand. They go to the restaurant.

At the restaurant, Sam treated Marjorie because of what happened earlier.

"You don't have to do that." she said.

"Just eat and it's my treat," he said.

After a few minutes Marjorie talked.

"Hey, how many girlfriends do you have?" she suddenly asked.

Sam laughed at her.

"You're funny," he said.

"They're not my girlfriends. We just flirt. I don't want to have a girlfriend. It's so hard to handle a relationship" he explained.

"You are really dangerous for a woman's heart," she said.

"Why? Do you think I'm dangerous to you?" he suddenly asked.

"Yes, so stay away from me if you plan to fall in love," she said.

Their atmosphere was awkward for them. They finish their food.

"Thanks for this Sam" she said.

"No problem. Are you going home now?" he asked.

"Nope, I will go to the comic shop and read some manga" she excitedly said.

"You love reading comics?" he said.

Marjorie nodded.

"Can I join? I love reading comics too!" he said.

"Really? I read Black Clover for now " she excitedly said.

"Me too. I read it too" he happily said.

Marjorie and Sam go to a comic shop to read. They spend hours reading. They become close and comfortable to each other.

After reading, they go to the amusement park. They ride roller coasters and enter into horror. They were even caught in a jail booth and forced to get married in a marriage booth.

Sam found Marjorie beautiful when she smiled. He became happy with her. Until the night comes, he walks with Marjorie to secure her safety.

In front of Marjorie's mansion.

"Hey, don't tell anyone that we're rich. I think they will feel awkward if they find out. I love to live as a normal student, not a rich girl" Marjorie said.

"Okay, don't worry," Sam said.

"I have to go inside. You must go home. Take care, I enjoy what we do today" she said and smiled.

"Marjorie...ahmm" he stuttered.

"Huh?" she said.

"Can we be friends? I mean there is no other reason. I just want to be friends with you. You know we are clicking on everything. I want you to be my best friend." he suddenly said.

Marjorie was shocked. Her crush wanted him to be his best friend afterwards, she smiled.

"Okay, no problem. We are now best friends" she said.

Sam is happy. They exchange their phone numbers and he goes home. Marjorie goes to her room and she receives a text message.

"Good night" from Sam Aves.

"Okay, this is what we are. We meant to be friends" she said to herself.

Meanwhile, Callista and other students are getting ready for the second quarterly exam. Callista sleeps four hours because she gives an effort for this exam. Callista has been in the Top 10 since she transferred. Now, she needs to be in Top 1 because of Ken's conditions. She needs to beat up Ken to keep her secret.
