I heard the door and I tried once more to open my eyes, but I was only able to squint when I noticed the pack doctor sherry. I was happy to see her as she was very close with mother and she was the only one in the pack not afraid of Xavier. The best thing about her of all, she called me Alpha Alexis.
Sherry:
I ran to the cell where I knew they kept Alpha Alexis captive. My heart ached seeing my Alpha in such conditions, I immediately told the warrior to carry her to the hospital that was the building next to the dungens. At the hospital I started Alpha Alexis on antibiotics to fight all of the silver her body had endured. I put an I.V line because she was severely dehydrated and malnurished. I put in her charts that she would be waking up in a few days the most a week other than that it should be concerning.
The next day I walked in to check her line and that her body was reacting positively to the medicine when I heard her moaning and stirring in the hospital bed. It has only been a day in a half, there is no way she can be awake, I thought. I was stunned when she squinted at me and tried to speak, it was inaudible but her smile, tears welling up in my eyes. I couldn't believe it.
Sherry: Shh, Shh, Shh, Shh. Alpha Alexis don't try to speak. Give it another day.
I walked up to her checking her vitals, I couldn't believe the strength of my Alpha, her power was radiating off of her. With pride welling up in my heart I bowed my head and bared my neck to her in complete submission. I got closer to her and whispered in her ear "My little pup, Alexis, your parents would be so amazed and proud of your power and will, I will forever only submit to you, you know I love you dearly. I am so sorry I couldn't do anything to help you.
Alexis smiled, tears streaming down her cheeks, she nodded her head in understanding. I told her she had to rest. I would give her more antibiotics because she was kept in inhumane conditions and I wanted to be safe and complete her treatment. In the next couple of days she would be fine, Alexis again nodded her head. As I administered the medicine she was soon asleep, I understood she had to be extremely exhausted. I ran my fingers through her lovely curls catching one piece and twirling it on my finger remaking her coil and thinking about what she always said. " never touch a girl's curls". Imagining her voice I smiled at that, that was her go to when someone asked about her hair. I softly ran my fingers over her cheek, kissed her forehead and left, but not before speaking out into the world.
"Moon goddess please protect this child, she is our true Alpha,I love her like my own".
with that I closed the door to her hospital room.
Alexis:
I opened my eyes, feeling completely revitalized, I got up from the hospital bed, I showered and washed my hair all while thinking about Michael. Has he been back?, why hasn't he come to see me?, what day is it anyway?, how long has he been gone?, has uncle Xavier got to him?. I would have to ask sherry to find out for me. Finally getting out I got dressed in sweat pants and a tee shirt sherry gave me. As I was coming out of the bathroom I heard someone open the rooms door coming face to face with the monster himself, Xavier. Wide eyed, with rage growing in my being I yelled " GET OUT!".
Xavier: Now niece, don't you want to know?.
Alexis: Don't call me your niece, I don't want to know anything you have to say.
Xavier: Fine, then I won't tell you what happened with Michael.
Xavier said this with a smile on his face, so I automatically assumed Michael had found his mate and all the questions I had earlier would be answered by that. So, I just smiled , even though I was really sad inside because that ment Michael wouldn't be here. he would leave with his mate and leave me here with this monster. Pushing all of that to the back of my head I said "Has he found his mate?". Xavier looked at me like he was the one confused by my question but suddenly shook it off and smirking he said "No, he is dead" and left. He just walked out, and he was smiling. he truely is a monster.
I was in shock, I couldn't move, there were no tears in my eyes, I just stood there starring at the date on a dry erased board on the wall. I don't know how long I was there. It was february third, exactly one month from my birthday.
