Chapter 5 The Ixora Plant

Asher's Point Of View:

I'm still shocked by what I saw, even though I witnessed that ability of her during her training the other day. I can't imagine how she managed to end that battle with everyone's eyes widened, she was amazing.

Luna left the battleground without saying anything and I followed her.

I could smell her scent going somewhere. I frowned, where the hell she will go.

I found myself in front of this food house. I smiled.

"So it's your treat today right?"- She asked from behind.

I looked at her.

"You hurt yourself."- I mentioned and looked at her arms, her wound is bleeding.

"It's nothing Asher, don't make it a big deal."- She replied and laugh.

We went inside the food house.

"So what's your order?"- I asked her.

"The typical. Make it double."- She ordered.

"Woah alright, I thought you got tired a bit."- I said and laugh.

"I didn't even sweat."- She said, raising her eyebrow and laughing.

"How did you do that?"- I asked her.

"Which one?"- she asked back.

"How you managed to stop that dagger, as well as the knives during your training the other day?"- I said.

"I don't know. I could feel that there's a strong power that's coming from me and I think it stops any weapon that could hurt me. I discovered it during the training, my guts tell that I shouldn't move and focus on those knives. That's what I did and it happened. I was also surprised at first but maybe it's one of my abilities."- She explained.

Our food came.

"Enjoy your food."- I said.

She nodded and smiled.

Luna's POV:

After we ate. Asher left, he said he has somewhere to go.

I didn't go home. But rather go to my favorite place.

I'm always stunned by this. The city lights look great, it's peaceful to look watching them. It's calming me inside. How do I wonder if I'm born a human? No special abilities, going to university and enjoying their lives after class, that seemed really nice.

I looked at my wound, it's still bleeding.

It feels like I did something wrong, killing someone without enough reason gives me guilt. However, if I didn't kill him then my parents will keep on insisting on him as my mate. I don't want that to happen. If I wasn't just born as a vaewolf then it will not be as complicated as it is, I could find peace of mind.

I sighed.

"Congratulations Luna!"- someone exclaimed behind me.

His voice is familiar.

He's wearing a mask again. The immortal who visited me on my veranda.

"Thanks."- I replied.

"Why are you here alone?"- He asked.

I frowned.

"It's none of your business."

"Aren't you afraid that someone might attack you here?"- He asked again. I could sense that he's smirking.

"Give me reasons why should I feel afraid."- I affirmed.

"Instead of giving you reasons, just tell me why you have to kill that vampire."- He replied.

I was silenced for a moment. He's a stranger anyway, it's better to tell him about this besides I think I need to vent this all out or I might get crazy.

"They want me to be mated to someone as powerful as I am."- I said.

"Why? You're still young aren't you?"- He asked.

I don't know but I feel like telling him could lighten up the burden I am feeling right now.

"I don't know, all I know is that I am responsible for everything and should take those responsibilities. Being a vaewolf hybrid is not as easy as you guys thought."

"Aren't you grateful that you are powerful and have the strength and abilities that no one possessed?"- He asked.

"I don't know. Maybe before, because no one could hurt me physically. I could defend myself. But now I feel like I am very far from my happiness and they're taking it away from me."- I answered as realization truly hit me, happiness isn't all about power.

"Luna."- He called me.

I didn't realize that he's near to me. I could smell him.

When I looked at him.

"I'm sorry."- He said and bowed his head.

I raised my eyebrow asking.

He pulled out a small piece of clothing. My eyes went widened when he opened it.

What the?

Lucien's Point of View:

I am now carrying her in my arms after she smelled the Ixora, it's a plant that could make the immortal lose their consciousness for a day.

I looked at her, she's a real beauty.

I carried her until we reached our mansion.

"Why did you bring her here?"- Mom asked.

She was sitting on her favorite couch and drinking wine.

"I don't know, it feels like she needed some break."- I said out of nowhere.

"Why? Do you care for her now?"- She asked raising her eyebrows.

I just looked at her.

"Don't you dare son, we have plans for her did you forget that already? You shouldn't bring her here, the alpha family will notice her missing for a day. Bring her back."- She warned.

"Yeah, maybe later. Let her rest for a while."- I said staring at the unconscious lady in my arms.

I went upstairs to bring her to one of the guest rooms.

"I'm sorry Luna. You deserve a rest from all of these."- I whispered as I put her on the bed.

She might hate me for this. I didn't also expect that I'd gone this far. She seemed too mentally tired due to the responsibilities tasked for her just because she's a vaewolf hybrid.

What's happening to me?

Santiago's Point of View:

"Luna's missing Mr.Santiago."- Marcus said nervously.

"She didn't go home last night?"- I asked.

"No. I thought that she went somewhere last night after the battle but I checked her room this morning, her presence is out of nowhere. I can't even smell her."- Marcus explained, I could sense that he's panicking.

"Where's Ingrid?"- I asked him.

"She's still asleep Mr.Santiago."- He replied.

"Good, find Luna in the forest. Don't let others know that she's missing, this will be big trouble for the Alpha family."- I ordered firmly as I clenched my fist.

The door opened and Asher came carrying Luna.

"Asher."- I called him but my gaze automatically shifted to Luna in his arms, she's unconscious.

"I saw her lying in the middle of the forest Uncle, she's unconscious, I can tell that she smelled an Ixora plant."- He explained briefly.

"Bring her to her room, she will be asleep for a few more hours."- I said.

Asher nodded and went upstairs.

They're making their moves now. I won't let this pass.

"Marcus."- I called him.

"Yes Sir."- he replied.

"You must guard Luna, these might happen often if we won't take action for this. I don't want this to happen again understood?"- I warned. I am furious right now. They're testing my patience.

He nodded and left.

"What's happening here Santiago?"- Ingrid asked.

"Everything's under control hon, don't worry."- I said to calm her.

"What do you mean everything's under control? Where's Luna?"- She asked, she started to panic.

I sighed.

"Okay calm down first."- I said.

She let sighed and nodded.

"Tell me."- She calmed down.

"Luna was missing last night until this morning. But Asher came carrying her, he said he saw her in the forest lying. He could also smell the Ixora plant, it was used to take her consciousness away for a day. The question is, what happened to her before they left her in the forest?"- I asked.

Ingrid nodded, I could feel her fear and concern for our daughter. She was silenced for a moment.

"Let me foreseen it."- She asserted and closed her eyes.

It took her a few minutes before she opened her eyes.

"Unbelievable."- She said.

I frowned.

"What did you see?"- I asked out of curiosity.

"I couldn't see anything."- She said and her eyes get teary.

"Why can't I see anything Santiago!"- She exclaimed and began to cry.

"Maybe they blocked it."- I said.

I hugged her trying to calm her down.

"I'm useless! I can't even foresee what happened to Luna! Damn it!"- She was furious at herself. I understand her, it's one of her special abilities but it seems useless now.

"Ssssh please stay calm. Don't blame yourself, Ingrid. For now, we must protect Luna. We shouldn't let this happen again, because we might lose her. If they returned her, maybe it's a message that they want to give us."- I stated firmly and looked away.

"What message?"- Ingrid asked.

"That they're near and watching us, they can attack anytime, probably when the time that we aren't prepared."
