Chapter 4 The First Battle

Luna's Point of View :

"Finally, everyone meets Luna."- Dad announced when he saw me near them.

I was surprised that there are other immortals at the dining table.

I smiled at them and greeted them.

"Good Morning."

I sat on the available seat beside my mom.

"Oh dear, what happened to you?"- The lady from the visitors said.

"It's because of her training."- Mom's the one who answered.

"Luna, they are the Alpha family from the north. This is Simon, Amara, and their son Diego."- Dad said.

I nodded. I am about to take some food for my plate when that Diego speaks.

"Could Luna be able to fight today with her bruises and scars?"- He asked, I can sense the intimidating look he's giving me.

"I wonder I might kill her on the battleground if she's too weak."- He added and smirked at me.

I coldly glanced at him shortly.

"We will see later."- I just said.

"Her wounds are almost healed despite her deep cuts yesterday."- Mom asserted.

"Well, I am just worried that you could lose your daughter in an instant. She's supposed to represent the alpha family as she was born as a vaewolf hybrid but with just basic training you're wounded like that. It's no question at all that you're weak."- Diego explained briefly, is he insulting me.

I stared at him, he's getting annoying, isn't he?

"Well, that training is not as basic as you thought. I think if you're the one who will be the trainee, you might not even be able to pass until the second stage of the training."

Finally, he came. I smiled at what he said.

"And who are you?"- Diego asked.

"Oh he's Asher."- Mom replied to him.

"Let's eat before our food gets cold, Asher takes your sit."- Dad articulated to divert the topic.

I could sense that Diego was staring at me that's why I looked at him. He smirked again that's why I smiled at him. This will be the first and last you'll see me smile at you.

I ate my food silently.

"So what time will be the battle be later?"-Mr. Simon asked.

"How about we fix it at midnight."- Dad replied.

I am just listening to them.

"I think that's perfect."- Mr.Simon said.

"Yeah, it's perfect. At least Luna could gain some strength, and give me somehow a good fight before I kill her."- Diego commented. Can't he just stop talking?

"Don't talk too much, you don't know what you're talking about."- Asher averred flashing a wide grin at him.

"That's enough."- Dad said.

"I'm done."- I said and bowed my head to ask for permission to leave.

"Don't forget to take a rest Luna."- Diego said.

I looked at him, he's smirking like an idiot.

"Don't worry I will."- I said coldly.

I felt Asher's presence as he followed me upstairs.

"How are your wounds Luna?"- He asked.

"They are doing great I think."- I said sarcastically.

"That Diego is annoying as f*ck and full of confidence."- Asher said sounds pissed.

"Let him think what he wants."

"Luna you should make him eat everything he said earlier."

"We'll see Asher."- I said and smiled at him.

"How about we make a bet?"- He said.

"If you win I'll treat you to your favorite food house."- He added.

"What if I lose?"- I said and raised my eyebrow.

"Then you'll treat me."- He replied sounds excited.

"Have you forgotten the rule of the underground? Only the strongest shall remain and the defeated must die."- I said.

He was silenced for a few seconds.

"If I lose, I wouldn't be able to treat you because I am already ashes."- I said and smirked at him.

"That's impossible to happen Luna."- He replied.

I smiled at him.

"Just don't get hurt and I'll treat you to wherever you want."- He said and left.

Damon's Point of View :

"Have you heard the upcoming battle in the underground?"- Bree asked.

"Battle of who?"- I asked.

"The female alpha and another alpha from the north."- Bree replied.

"Why two alphas will fight?"- I asked.

"I don't know. All I think was it will be interesting since it's the female alpha. I haven't seen her fight."- She said sounds excited.

"Aren't you present the night of the event? When Luna killed the omega vampires because they want to get revenge for the victims in the accident in the forest?"- I asked her.

"No, I'm on the dance floor that time. But why? what happened?"- She asked out of curiosity.

If you just saw her turn into a vaewolf, you'll not be as excited as you are right now. I thought, she doesn't look like a real monster though, her transformation is unlikely how we transformed. That's probably because she's a vaewolf hybrid. Her eyes will turn green and the other is red, which was too cool, she has elongated sharp claws and canines like a vampire. But aside from her green eyes, she doesn't resemble a werewolf but it isn't a question with the kind of power and abilities she has. She's a gorgeous monster I could say.

"Nothing."- I replied to Bree. I don't want to spoil the moment later.

"We should watch this great show later, you may bring the other beta and you'll witness how the female alpha will herself transform into someone no one would dare to have battled with."- I added and smiled at her.

Luna's Point of View :

It's 11:30 already and I got off my bed. I took a bath and stayed there for a few minutes.

My bruises are fully healed. I looked at the mirror and saw my reflection. I am wearing black combat-fitted clothes.

"You are not supposed to underestimate me in the first place. Besides you are not my ideal mate, you don't deserve it because you don't have any characteristics that I admire. I'll show what a vaewolf means Diego."- I smiled and left my room.

Asher's Point of View :

I didn't expect that there are lots of immortals who are eager to watch and will be present here in the battleground. I think they're all excited about this event.

I saw that Diego and his family arrived, he's smiling like an idiot.

The battleground is surrounded by transparent glass, that's why everyone can watch the event. But no one should interfere in the battle with the two immortals inside the battleground.He/She might die.

Everyone is aware of the rules of the underground world regarding this matter.

I saw that Uncle Santiago and Aunt Ingrid finally arrived but Luna is not yet present. I looked at my watch, it's 2 minutes before the battle. Luna should be here or she will be forfeited.

Here in the underground, we value time.

Everyone looked at the entrance door, Luna finally came. She got everyone's attention with her outfit, I didn't think that she will prepare for this fight. I smiled. As usual, she walks like a stunning gorgeous beast.

We heard a sound as a sign that the two immortals should enter the battleground.

Diego went inside.

Before Luna enter the battleground she looked at me and mouthed "watch", then she smiled.

I know that smile.

As Luna entered the battleground, Diego attacked her immediately.

His movement is too fast and keeps doing that simultaneously but failed to catch her. Luna seems to enjoy this battle.

Luna's Point of View:

"I'm doing my warm-up, don't expect that you could beat me just because you managed to avoid my attacks."- He blurted and smirked.

"If you say so."- I replied and smiled at him to piss him off.

This time his eyes turned red and his claws are now visible. He attacked me again with his claws. He's a pure-blooded vampire.

I managed to shun his attacks, but with his last swift, he was able to scratch my arm. I smelled my blood.

"Give me some show Luna. Bring it on."- He blabbered, his smirk never vanished and it's really annoying.

"If that's what you want."

I didn't smile this time, the show is over.

My eyes turned red and green as my claws showed up. I looked at him seriously.

He seemed to get scared at first but he managed to hide it.

He attacked me again but this time I didn't move. When he will be able to reach me, I hold his neck tightly, I made sure that my claws are digging his skin, his blood is flowing out on my hands. But I don't want to end this here.

"Not yet, you idiot. Do you want a show? Then be the circus."- I whisper and throw him to the glass wall, that's made of fiber, it won't break.

I could sense the reaction of the audience outside.

I moved fast that no one could almost see it, I repeatedly throw him to the glass that makes his body hard to recover.

I looked at him lying on the floor and smiled.

Lucien's Point of View :

Luna turned her back on him and walked away. But the vampire managed to stand up and throw a dagger toward her if I am not mistaken. With the dagger's speed, Luna couldn't be able to avoid that, to the fact she can't see it. The dagger was about to hit the back of Luna's heart, everyone stands up as they are waiting for this to happen but...

The dagger stopped moving a few inches from her back. Everyone's eyes widened in shock, this is impossible.

Luna faced him and smiled at him. She was covered with red light and I could sense a strong aura coming from her.

She holds the dagger in front of her and throws it away. She shooked her head and in a split second, she's now holding his neck. She buried her claws into his chest and ripped it. She's now holding his heart.

The game is over.

He turned into ashes.

Everyone is still shocked by what happened.

I smiled, Luna never failed to amuse me with her strength, but that's not enough to defeat me.
