Chapter 2 The Devil's Incarnate

Angelina's POV:

Throughout the first period, I was perturbed. I didn't hear a word of all that the teacher said. More so, I felt that Cedric was staring at me. When the class was over, I bit my lips hard. I held the hem of my skirt and courageously stole a glance at him.

He was currently surrounded by a crowd of girls and a few boys. In their midst, he looked like a dazzling god. His smile looked innocent and the girls drooled over him.

Seeing that my classmates thought he was a good guy, I felt a tingle of pain in my heart. I knew that this charming behavior of his was just an illusion created to deceive unsuspecting people. Cedric was actually evil in nature and cruel in means. He was the devil's incarnate.

For the past four years, I asked myself why he attempted to rape me. It was even more agonizing that he wasn't remorseful at all. The evil smile he gave me in court on the day of the sentencing had been imprinted in my mind. For some weird reason, he acted like he knew me, but I didn't know him.

That unfortunate day was the first time I had seen him. I was just a good girl living an ordinary life. I never offended anyone, so I couldn't think of anybody who wanted to take revenge on me. At this moment, I had a splitting headache and didn't want to think about the past anymore.

"Angelina, what's up? Why were you late today?" Isabella, my best friend asked with an inquisitive expression as she walked up to my seat.

"It's nothing. I just woke up late," I answered her simply.

"Okay. Do you know Cedric?"

My heart skipped a beat immediately after I heard his name. My whole body trembled uncontrollably while I held tightly to the hem of my skirt.

"No, I don't know him!" I denied vehemently as I subconsciously put my legs together tightly.

"Eh? But he just said..."

"Isabella, please help me ask for permission from the teacher so I can leave school. I'm not feeling well." With these words, I swept the books and stationery on my desk into my bag.

The fear in my heart was skyrocketing. I couldn't forget the evil glint in Cedric's eyes when he called me a slut just now. A cold shiver ran down my spine. Now I was afraid that I would suffocate if I stayed here for another minute.

After mustering up the courage, I grabbed my skirt and stood up. Bang! My chair crashed to the ground due to my swift movement. The noise was so loud that all my classmates looked at me. Even those that were drooling on Cedric shifted their attention to me.

My face instantly turned pale. Some of my classmates whispered to themselves and looked at me with suspicious eyes. I could tell that they found my behavior to be very abnormal. Averting my eyes from their questioning expressions, I decided to leave. Things would get complicated if they saw me panic. I ran out as fast as my legs could carry me.

The horrible scene of that unfortunate evening kept replaying in my mind. I could hear that devil's voice as he told me to stay still. I cried profusely as I ran. My sight was blurry due to the tears. Thankfully, the hallway was empty, so I didn't bump into anyone.

In this way, I ran to the underground parking lot. Gasping for breath, I leaned against the car that was close to me. My heart was beating fast and I was very tired. The parking lot was poorly lit and only a few people came here during school hours. I heard heavy footsteps all of a sudden. Clutching my chest, I held my breath and looked in the direction of the footsteps.

"Cedric," I muttered fearfully.

He majestically approached me. The dim light shone on his black hair, but I couldn't see his face at this moment. I had my heart in my mouth as he advanced towards me. He was the last person I wanted to see now.

'Escape!'

This was the only thought in my head.

The next second, I ran painstakingly to my car and opened the door. Just when I was about to sit on the driver's seat, a pair of big hands pulled me away and shut the door again.

"Top student, where do you think you are going? Are you trying to escape from me?"

As he queried me in a vicious tone, he placed his hands on both sides of my body and trapped me. I leaned against the cold car and stood there stiffly. Whimpering in fear, I didn't dare to open my eyes to look at him.

"Oh, you want to be in the car? So, you want me to continue from where I stopped four years ago? Don't worry, I will satisfy you!"

Cedric opened my car door, got on the driver's seat and pulled me inside. He made me sit on his lap.

The door was half-open, but I found it difficult to breathe. His wicked aura was choking me.

"Stay still. Let me check!"

Cedric used one of his hands to hold me tightly. Goose bumps appeared all over my body and I trembled.

He lifted my short uniform skirt and put his hand into my underwear.

"No! Please don't do this!" I screamed and begged. My whole body became weak as hot tears streamed down my face again.

Ignoring my plea, his index finger reached down to my most private spot without flinching. He then rubbed his fingertip roughly on my clitoris.

All of a sudden, I felt the bulge of his manhood against my backside. I cringed due to his touch and continued to shake like a leaf.

"Let me go. Please!"

"Uhm! You are so wet. Your juice is dripping on my finger. Look!" Cedric groaned, withdrew his hand and attempted to show me his wet finger.

I quickly turned my head away and refused to see it. He forced me to look at it by moving my head ruthlessly. In a fit of pique, I turned around and slapped him on his cheek.

His face instantly became gloomy and he pushed me out of the car. I fell on the rough ground. It didn't take long for me to feel a sharp pain in my knees. They were severely scratched and blood oozed out.

With a wicked expression on his face, he got out of the car and squatted in front of me. He turned his other cheek to me and said, "Come on, slap me here too."

Glaring at him, I said nothing and didn't slap him.

"What are you waiting for? Go ahead!" he roared angrily.

Taken aback by his growl, I covered my fresh wounds and sobbed like a helpless child.

"Cedric, please can you tell me why you are doing this to me?"

"Haha! It's because... It's because you are my prey." After saying those words ruthlessly, he stuck out his tongue and licked his lips slowly. "Angelina, my good girl. I have missed you so much. I couldn't get you out of my mind for the past few years. How is your mother? Is she still moving freely in this world?"

Although Cedric's words sounded weird, I didn't think too much about it. The only thing I was concerned about was running away from this vicious boy before he did more harm to me.

Without thinking too much, I raised my hand and was about to slap him again. However, he was quick enough this time. He grabbed my wrist tightly. It was at this moment that he saw the bloodstains on my fingers. Then, he looked at my knees and saw the fresh wounds.

"Oh my! Does it hurt?"

This question shocked me to my bone marrow. I even heard a trace of concern in his voice. On second thought, it might have just been my mind playing tricks on me.

I mustered up my last strength and pushed him away. Due to the unexpectedness of my move, he fell to the ground. As he writhed in pain, I quickly entered my car and locked the door.

"Cedric, you pervert! You are the devil himself!" I cried uncontrollably.

Now that I was a little safe, I didn't dare to look at his face anymore. His expression would only scare me and make me more vulnerable.

Without further ado, I started the ignition and stepped on the gas. I drove crazily out of the underground parking lot and never looked back.

"Mom!" I shouted sadly as soon as I opened the entrance door of my home.

Even though I called out several times at the top of my lungs, no one answered me. The living room was also empty and it seemed that she wasn't at home. I found this very surprising because my mother should have been off duty at this time. A strange feeling suddenly tingled in my heart. Something seemed wrong. I changed into my slippers and walked in.

On the center table in the living room, I saw a note beside the flower vase. It was written in my mother's handwriting. It read, "Dear Angelina, I was notified to go on an emergency business trip. Take care of yourself in my absence. I will call you constantly. I love you!"

My heart sank to my stomach and I put the note on the table. I was so scared that I fell on the sofa lazily. In this difficult situation, I was left alone. My mother went on an impromptu business trip. Now I couldn't confide in her about my latest problem.

The more I remembered Cedric touching me inappropriately today, the more scared I became. After thinking about what to do for a long time, I called my mother.

"Hello, my dear. Did you return home from school early today?"

"Yes. Mom, when will you come back home?"

"Oh, dearie. I'm sorry, but I don't know when exactly I will be done with the assignment here. Don't worry, I will tell you when I'm sure of the date."

"Mom, I... I miss you."

"My baby, I miss you too. You don't sound too good. Besides, why did you return home this early? What happened at school today?"

"Mom, he's back!"

"Who's back?"

"Cedric Hobbes!" I blurted out forcefully while clenching my fist.

"Huh? Angelina, let's not talk about it now. I'll come home immediately after I'm done with my task."

"Mom, you know what he did to me, don't you? I'm yet to heal from that horrible incident. Now he has come to disrupt my life in this city. Why is he doing this to me?"

"Listen to me. There are some things you don't need to know no matter how curious you are. Wait for me to come back. We will handle it then. I love you. Bye!"

At this moment, I wanted to pour out my heart to my mother, but she already hung up the phone.

'What should I do now? How can I get rid of this devil? Ah! What if he comes to my house? How would I defend myself from that beast?' When I thought of this, my fear intensified. I couldn't imagine what he would do to me now that I was alone.

Holding the phone in my hand, I was sitting on the sofa in a daze. On the table beside the sofa was our family photo. I took it over and held it in my arms, tears running down my face.

"Dad, how I wish you are still with me."

Since I was vulnerable on my own, I decided to call my boyfriend, Felix.

"Hello, Felix. Can you come to my house to keep me company?" "Okay, babe. I'm on my way,"

he replied in an affectionate tone.

Thirty minutes later, someone rang the doorbell. I hurried to open the door without looking through the peephole. My eyes became teary when I saw my boyfriend standing there. I hugged him tightly.

"Babe, what's wrong?" Felix asked worriedly as he patted my back. Judging from the tone of his voice, I could tell that he was worried about me.

"Felix, I want to transfer to a new school..."

Seeing that I was in a bad mood, he held me tightly and continued to pat my back.

"What happened? Why do you want to change schools all of a sudden?"

"Ermm... It's nothing." I shook my head vigorously and sniffed.

"Babe, have you been studying too hard recently? Are you tired of schoolwork? I think you need a good rest."

Despite the concern on Felix's face, I didn't have the courage to tell him about Cedric and his evil deeds. I was certain that Felix would flare up if I told him. He would surely confront that boy. Unfortunately, Cedric wouldn't let go of me and Felix easily. That boy was a ruthless devil.

With his hands over my shoulders, Felix took me to my bedroom. He gently helped me lie down and tucked me into bed.

"Have a good rest now. Don't think about anything. I will stay with you throughout. Don't worry."

He then kissed my forehead and smiled at me. With this assurance, I fell asleep after a while. However, I vaguely heard Felix speaking to Isabella on the phone as I was asleep.
