Chapter 5 Confrontation

Jason's mother was waiting for them in house. She hugged her and took her to guest room.

"I am so happy, you came here. I told your mother that now you are going to live here she doesn't need to worry about you". Jason's mother said and patted her head.

"But...... Aunty I think it's not appropriate for me to live here before marriage." Sarah said. She didn't want to live here but Jason didn't listen to her.

"It's okay my child". Jason's mother took Sara's hand and said with love. "I know what you are thinking but my dear I don't care what other would think or say. You need to take care of yourself and I know how stubborn you are when it comes about yourself. Just stay here until you recover....." She saw Sarah staring to floor "Sigh!!!! Don't worry, Jason is going to another city anyways." She said and lift Sarah's head.

"What do you mean?" Sarah asked

"I asked Jason to bring you here from hospital. I knew he wouldn't tell you that he is going to capital for a month or two" She said while sitting on bed.

Ohh... He really didn't tell me. Sarah said and sat with Jason's mother.

"Sarah, I know whatever happened earlier. Don't hesitate to tell me if you have any issue or if there is something troubling you. I am like your mother" She said and hugged her.

"Hmm" Sara nodded

"Come down after shower. Your all clothes are already here". She said and left.

Sara threw herself backwards on bed and put her hand on her eyes. She was hurt due to Roy. "Did he really killed someone???" This question was killing her from inside. "He was trying to tell me something." She thought. Suddenly she sat "He said 5 years back Jason forced him to leave me" she said to herself. She ran downstairs crazily. Jason was sitting in living room holding a newspaper. Sara ran towards him and snatched newspaper and threw it away.

"Tell me the truth!!!!!" She shouted

Jason's mother came from kitchen when she heard Sarah. "What happened Sarah????"

"What truth?" Jason asked

"What happened 5 years ago between you and Roy? Why he left me? Why he was taking your name?" Sara asked with shaking voice.

"Nothing happened 5 years ago between me and him." Jason said and try to calm her down

"No!!!!!!!" She shouted "Tell me the truth. You never liked him. Every time he came in front of you or you hear his name it was always written on your face how much you hate him."

"Okay I hated him but he was a criminal. He killed someone. I did what I supposed to do as a Police officer." Jason hold her arms and said.

"I am not asking about what happened now, I am asking about the past." Sarah said and tried to release from his grip.

"You always cared about him. Do you know how painful it is to know that the person you love actually think about another person." He said and loosens his grip.

Sarah took steps backward. When Jason saw her emotionally unstable, he move forward and hugged her. "Sigh... My love, you need to stop think all of this. It was a past. He is no more. Let's not talk about this."

Jason's mother was standing at the corner watching everything and went back to kitchen after the situation handled by her son.

Sarah calmed down believed what Jason said. But she was not willing to believe that Roy killed someone. She decided to go into the depth of this case on her own. "Jason, I want to meet his mother and sister."

"Why????" He asked

"It's been a long time since I met them". She said

"Sarah, they already left the city." Jason told her

"When?" Sara asked

"They left on the day of murder." Jason replied

"Where did they go?" Sara asked

They are in their home town. Jason replied calmly

And where is Roy's body? Sara asked

"Police is still searching for his body. So rest assured he is not confirmed dead yet". Jason said with bitterness and stood up, then left the home. He slammed the door on his way out. It was very clear that he was angry. Sarah could understand that he was angry because of what happened up until now and how much he dislike Roy but she can't help it, Roy was her first love. Even though he left her all those years back, she couldn't bring herself to hate him.

"Roy why you did that!!!!! She mumbled and went upstairs.

Jason came back at dinner time. Sarah ate dinner with him and his mother but no one said anything during dinner. There was an awkward silence. She wanted to ask so many questions to Jason but she knew that he won't answer them. She knew how stubborn he is, but she was still worried about Roy and wanted him to be alive.

Jason's mother broke the silence.

When will you leave tomorrow? She asked Jason

My flight is in afternoon but I have some important things to do so I'll leave the house in morning. He replied.

Okay. Just take care of yourself, you are losing weight and you have to call me daily. Understood? She said with smile

Yeah Mom.... Don't worry. I am not a child anymore. He smiled back at his mother.
