Chapter 5 The night outing

Jerry snatched the phone from Lillian's ear. He hung up the call. "What is wrong with you? If you don't trust me anymore, then say it!" He was tired of the fact that she was always acting like his second mother.

"Jerry, I...."

"You what?" He cuts her off. "The manager of the warehouse forgot his phone with me. I borrowed the phone to call dad, and forgot to return it, i'll return it tomorrow. You wanted to pick somene else's call, why do you always jump to conclusion even without hearing my explanation?.... You know what, i am tired, i need some rest. Go home, Lillian" Jerry walked in the house, and locked the door.

Lillian wiped the tears from her eyes, she glanced at the door one last time and walked away.

Jerry knew his words were a little harsh, but that was the only way. If he didn't bring act that way, Lillian would have insisted on going to where she suggested.

Jerry greeted his parents and Aria, and then walked to the room.

He dialed the number and Elena picked at the second ring.

"Hello, Jerry. I have texted you the address, get a taxi to bring you here. I will pay" Her cool voice was heard.

"Okay" Jerry replied, and the call went disconnected.

Aria walked into the room, with a plate of spaghetti.

"Don't eat too much, the food belongs to both of us" She informed, as she placed the plate of food on bed.

"You can eat everything" Jerry said.

"But why?" Aria asked, feeling guilty that her words angered him.

Jerry explained everything to Aria, there was nothing to hide from her - after all, she's his twin sister.

Aria thought for a while, she then smiled and jumped up. "That's it! We've hit the jackpot.... Listen Jerry, i will cover up for you. Elena is the kind of friend you should keep, she's so rich. You know that saying, move with people with positive mindset, if you move around with her you will become rich also... Get up, get ready!" Her mouth was just running like a tap.

"Our parents won't agree. How am i gonna leave the house this night?" Jerry asked, that was the only problem, since Lillian had been settled.

"I just said I will cover for you....Okay, let's do it this way" She cleared and throat and started, "Mum, dad. Jerry and I will be going out tonight, there's this party where they need people to serve drinks, we applied and we got the job... Don't try to stop us, we well be careful" She acted as if she was standing before her parents.

Jerry chuckled. "If we are both allowed to go, where will you stay?".

"I gat it... Dad, if you don't want both of us to go, then only Jerry can go. He's a boy and can take care of himself, the pay is something both of us can't miss... How about that?" Aria replied.

"Hmmm, my genius sister. It's perfect".

"That's me. Can I see the phone?" Aria had always wanted to touch the latest iPhone, she had been seeing it but couldn't touch it. Now that she had the chance, she didn't hesitate to use it.

"Here" Jerry handed the phone over to her. "Be careful with it. I want to go use the bathroom" After saying those words, he walked away.

Aria was excited, she went to the gallery and looked at all the pictures there. 'This should be Elena, she is beautiful'.

"Taking a photo won't be an offense" She strike a pose and clicked the camera. "Selfie!".

She took lots of pictures. Seeing her pictures, she smiled to herself. "I am so cute" She complimented herself. She was about to delete the pictures when the door opened, she quickly hid took her hands behind her back.

"Where's Jerry?" Her dad asked.

"He's in the bathroom" She replied. Her hands still behind her back.

"Okay... Tell him to see me when he's done" He said and walked away.

"That was close" Aria mumbled. She heaved a sigh of relief, dropped the phone on the bed, and started eating. Forgetting to delete the pictures she had took.

Elena smiled at her reflection on the mirror, she was putting on a black short gown.

She picked up her phone and dialed a number. It was her private investigator. She placed the phone on her ear and used her shoulder to support it, then she picked up a lipstick.

"Hello. Any update?" She asked as she rubbed the lipstick on her lips.

"You were right. The death of your classmate wasn't an accidental shot, she was the target" The investigator informed.

For a moment, Elena was frightened. "What-what do you mean?" She asked in fear.

Days ago she had received a strange to leave that school, but she couldn't fathom why.

"She was the main target. And according to my investigations, you are.....You are the next target" The moment Elena heard those words, the lipstick fell from her hand.

"What?".

Lillian couldn't forget what happened earlier. Jerry hadn't spoken to her in that way before. 'What is wrong with him? I understand what he's going through right now, but that doesn't mean he should blame me for his misfortune'.

She couldn't even sleep, so she decided to go back to his house for them to talk.

She got near his house and sighted him entering a taxi.

"Where could Jerry be going by this time of the day? My parent doesn't approve him of coming to my house, so where is he going?" She asked herself.

If only Jerry had a phone, she would have called him, but he didn't.

She stopped a taxi too and entered it."Please follow that car" She pointed at the car.

The man driving the car stared at her from the front mirror. He smirked and thought, 'Seems today is my lucky day'.

He brought out a gun and turned back to stare at her face.
