Chapter 4 A secret hidden on the shelf

I was so hooked on the book that I lost track, this woman must really had a gift for sexual contents, this was money in my hands. But what really prompt her to write this, was it because she was bored like I am right now......

I took the book with me to the garden area and sat under a parasol to shade me from the sun that rising quite rapidly.

The book might have been filled with a sexual content but it was funny, so funny that my laughter caught the attention of the bodyguards guarding the area. The female lead is a feisty lady which the Male lead adores so much.

I really love a good book.

I kept on reading until I got to a blank page, the blank page continued and I was starting to get hurt since I was at the brink of knowing what was to happen next after the male lead is caught sleeping with another woman.

I turned the pages continuously hoping that the book continues before I pounced on a letter she wrote.

"11/09/2020,

I married him, yes the man I loved so much, he knelt down and asked me to marry him even though I thought it was old fashioned I still said yes. We got married at a church and was attended by nobody.... Lol. His mother wasn't pleased with our Union but she did welcome me in, even though I didn't feel it. I stopped writing since I have the man of my dreams with me, I must say that he is so great in bed much more than Xander (Elsa's lover in my book), it's funny cause I haven't....." I quickly closed the book when I saw somebody approaching me.

"What do you have there?" He asked, he looked exactly like Damon but nicer and he even smiled. "I have been looking at you from far and it seems to be that what you are reading might interest me, this house can be a bore...."

I blinked my eyes twice as I wondered why this guy that had all of Damon's facial features was talking to me so casually and not with honorifics, it felt weird.

"I am sorry for not introducing myself earlier, I am Xander by name....." He said, my head twitched was this the Xander Elizabeth wrote on her book?

What the hell is happening here?

"I am Priscilla" I said after a long pause, I was still trying to understand and put the puzzle pieces together when Xander stretched out his hand for me to shake, a fine gesture from a fine gentleman.

"You must be the surrogate I heard of, you look beautiful by the way" he took his seat under the parasol along with me, I quickly picked the book and his before he took any notice or prior interest on it.

We both sat there in silence, my head still in whirlwind of thoughts, my desire to know more grew rapidly as I looked at his face, his was rugged and looked like it had been to several places while Damon was different, he might be cruel but his face was had a much more nicer look unlike his personality.

"Well this boring...." Xander concluded, "we've been staring at each other's faces for a long time now, let's do something fun"

"Like what?" My mind quickly travelled to those erotic scenes he was probably in, even though I knew that wasn't what he was talking about, I couldn't help but think it.

"How about a stroll? I could give you a tour of this mansion and tell you some secret...." He said placing so much emphasies on the secret, the imaginary antenna on my head raised as soon as I heard it.

"Would love to.... My body is actually tired just sitting here"

"Great! Your hands please" he asked for them and I offered willingly, I won't be actually surprised if I found out later Xander was actually Elizabeth real crush and was the one she really wrote of.

We walked around and he really showed me those places he talked so greatly of, it wasn't much of a secret if it could be vividly seen.

There was someone at the place Xander spoke so greatly of, it was his brother Damon I assumed, the person was on a phone call before he cut it off.

"When did you return?" Damon said with a husky voice something Xander lacks.

"Three hours ago, I also met Priscilla here... Mom said she is your surrogate carrying yours and...." Xander was about completing but Damon stopped him showing how uninterested he was.

"Why are you back? Do you need more money?" Damon asked with no emotions or caring how his question will hurt his brother, this brute only thought of himself.

Xander scoffed while rolling his eyes, the then calm funny guy I met a while ago suddenly changed.

"I thought you will welcome me at the very least, but all you could say is if I was in need of money....." Xander held back from saying anymore, his gaze turned to me and I immediately felt shy, I was just about to see two brothers fight. "Please excuse us" he begged me and I nodded.

I left the place before things got messy. I went back to the garden and sat under the parasol about to continue the diary Elizabeth had written and left.

There was an hidden secret far greater than what was written on the book, I quickly turned to page and continued.

"I haven't been this close to feel him, we only talked and talked but that night it was pleasure all through, I wanted more of him so much that I crave him daily but he was busy, always busy and there was this pressure on my head about giving birth to a child." The pages stopped, there was supposed to be a continuation but the pages were ripped out.

Oh God! I really need to find those pages and soon. Damon's room should be where it is hidden but how was I going to go in when he already caught me before, even then it wasn't intentional and now it will be.

Damon loved Elizabeth so much that I strongly believe anything of hers could still be in his room.
