Finally, Daniel allowed me to go to school today, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Likely, I'm in the were society that even in school, I'm surrounded with their kinds. Even though there are humans around, the were population still grows among them -I'm sorry, I meant, among us humans.
It was a good twenty minutes drive from the pack house, but this time, it was way before dawn when Owen dragged me out of my bed. Beat it, I'm not a morning person, so I ignored him and when once I woke up, I found myself all ready at the backseat of my brother's car, with a grinning Polly beside me.
"What's the rush about?" I finally asked, as I took in the tense atmosphere around them. I didn't bother asking my best friend, since she's...well, giddy, and I'm afraid she might burst if I ask her. Unlike me, she's a morning person, but I've never seen her this enthusiastic before. It is either she found her mate, or she's in her red days. She gets batshit crazy when her period was up.
Daniel and Owen didn't answer me, so instead, I finally turned towards her who's doing great restraining herself. Too great. She got carried away holding her breath in, that she almost ran out of oxygen.
"Breathe, Polly, breathe!" I caressed circles on her pack as she tried to calm herself. She's one weird creature, and it's not like I'm complaining about myself.
When she finally regained her breathing pattern, she looked up to me and we stared at each for a whole minute before bursting in laughter. Truth be told, we're both weird.
"I've got goody news!" She squealed in the middle of giggles.
"Well, this better be good then." I shifted closer to her as she's afraid someone might hear what she's about to say, when obviously, the other two have super hearing abilities, and there's actually no point in whispering.
"The reason why Owen dragged us in this mess," She huffed her chest out and lowered her voice in a failed attempt to sound manly and mysterious. "The reason why Daniel is coming to school with us, the reason why I'm over the moon today, the reason why Owen almost peed his pa-"
"Watch it, Polly!" Owen hissed, and I couldn't help hut chuckle at her silliness.
"I'll skip that part, hon." She replied sweetly, giving me a look that she'll spill it out later. "Now." She dramatically took a deep breath in. "Oh my gosh! The other Alphas are coming to school!" She practically melted on my lap, as if she just gave birth to her first child.
"The Alphas?" I questioned, slightly confused on why they're cryptic on such beings. I've seen lots of Alphas before, but neither one of them could match dad and Daniel's dominant aura. So why is my brother looking quite nervous?
"The Alphas, the three future Alphas!" She exclaimed, shaking my shoulders on the process. "From the South, East, and West! Come on, D! I gave you enough knowledge about these hot men around the globe!"
I scrunched my eyebrows, trying to remember about these legendary creatures she gave me info about.
Now that I've come to think of it, there are actually Alphas that matched dad from the West, East and South. Alpha Cooper from the West, Alpha Fin from the East, and Alpha Lachlan from the South. And I'm sure Polly's referring to their sons. "I remembered."
Polly sighed in relief. "For a moment there, I though I educated you the wrong way."
"So, what's the fuss about it?"
"Don't you get it? They're coming here!" She whined, as if she's begging me to understand.
"Oh, they're coming here." I echoed, still not sure on what to feel. Should I be excited for her? Nervous for my brother? Or calm like Owen?
I don't know.
