I was at home. Locked up in my room. Just then, a knock came on the door.

"Kelly open the door". It was Wayne.

" Oh God. What should I do?" I was panicking.

"Kelly".

" Coming". I opened the door. "Hey".

" What took you so long?" He entered while I closed the door.

"Just tiding up my room". He looked around.

" I see".

"So what's wrong?"

"Sit". I sat beside him while he stared into into eyes. " You aren't telling me anything?"

"Like what?" I was confused 😕.

"Come on Kelly. Don't keep a secret from me. I've heard about everything and that's the reason why you're sad". Right now, my heart was beating fast.. I could sense the sweat forming on my forehead. Did he knew? Oh Lord. Who told him?

" I..... I'm sorry Wayne".

"I heard from Charlie. You saved him".

" I..... I saved him?"

"I heard how you sold your guitar. You're such a wonderful sister. I promise to get you another one. Far more better than the previous one. So cheer up". Thank God. He knew nothing.

" Sure".

Hell. It was morning. What should I do? Mom mustn't find out.

"Kelly". I could hear mom footsteps. I quickly rub the hot towel on my face then jump on the bed. " Kelly". Mom opened the door. "Oh my. Don't tell me you're still in bed at this hour. You're gonna be late for school". She swept the blanket off my body while I formed fake sickness.

" Awww. My head".

"Are you okay?" Mom touched my forehead.

"You're burning hot".

" My head hurt mom".

"I'll go to the pharmacy to buy some drugs". She got up. "Here". She hand me a thermometer. I think my plan will be reveal now. I took the hot towel and rub it on the thermometer while mum went to fetch for water and towel from the bathroom. Then she emerge. " Now let's see". She collected it from my mouth. "Oh my. I've to go and get the doctor".

"No mom. I'll be fine. It's just an headache. All I need is rest".

" You sure?" I nod my head. "Okay then. I'm gonna assist the new neighbour. By the way, we are having dinner tonight so make that sickness of yours go away or you get some shot 💉 from the doctor".

" Sure". I smiled and she left. "That was a closed one".
