I sat down angrily Chatting on michat with new friends when Mia walks in

Hey girl, guess What? Mia asked excitedly

What? Your dad bought you a new car? I asked awkwardly

Just tell me already, I am not in the mood to guess. I retorted

Okay, okay, I will tell you. Do you remember Stephen? She asked

Which Stephen? I asked even more curiously changing my posture while chatting

Yeah I remember, what's about him? I asked again looking frustrated

I ran into him today, he took me out for shopping and asked for my number and also asked me out on a date next Tuesday... ohh I am so happy, it feels like a dream come true, oh Stephen so cute and.....

What's up with you, you have been acting weird since I got here..whats up?

Morning 7:00am

I woke up yawning and stretching when I snaped out of my sleep and looked at the wall clock and bam 7:00 on the dot.

Jeez louieez, it's 7:00am and I have a meeting at 7:30am, my goodness I am gonna be freaking late. I said as I hurriedly got up from my bed, rushed into the bathroom and freshened up quickly. I got dressed and hurried down the stairs when I realized I forgot my brief case containing the documents for my presentation.

Astrid! Get my brief case for me. I shouted

Will you hurry up, you sluggard? How many years will it take you to bring a brief case. I scolded

So sorry dad, good morning dad. Astrid greeted

Keep the greeting to yourself. I missed as I dragged the briefcase forcefully from her and entered my car and drove off...

AT THE OFFICE

I Hurriedly got out of my car and walked into the meeting room, the board members were already seated, I checked my time and it was 7:30...just exactly the time.. Am not too late I mumbled..

So sir John..where are the new designs and documents you were going to present. Mr Alex, one of the board members asked. I took out the documents and shared it among the members.. than I stared presenting the speech...

But sir John these documents are different from what you presented and these documents are complete rubbish and fake. Miss Debby told me

I took the documents from her and checked it...oh no! I picked out the wrong document. I exclaimed silently ..

Mr John is this supposed to be a joke or a mistake. Mr Sydney another board member asked me

I am so sorry, there must be a misunderstanding somewhere, I am going to need so.e time to sort it out. I said looking scared and also sniffing the documents

Mr Danvers received the call and within 3 minutes he dropped it back with a moody face

The company we were supposed to have a contract with just terminated our partnership because if your incompetence. Mr Danvers shouted at me..

For making is lose our most trusted partners you are hereby sacked and excepted to evacuate your office in three hours. Mr Danvers replied harshly

I was so shoked and ashamed at the same time I couldn't beg him, I walked out sadly...

Astrid pov*

I heard dad's horn, I checked the time and saw it was 12:26....

It's too early for dad to be back by this time. I whispered looking worried

I walked hurriedly to open the gate for him, he then drove his car inside our compound and packed his car...

Dad came out from his car with a sad face, I ran quickly to lock the gate...

Dad,what's wrong. I asked him looking worried, surprise he gave me a hot slap sending me down my knees and tars flow down my eyes.. What did i do this time...

You wretched girl, I lost my job because of you.. you touched my suitcase and all of a suddenly I got sacked... my dad shouted at me

Will you shut your trash! You are leaving this house today, enough with all the bad lucks you have brought upon us. He replied harshly as he dragged my ear roughly pushing me inside the house....
