Chapter 5 Planning the date

"That's not the only reason. I want our company to grow, imagine what Alexander company and Brandon industries would look like after merging" she said and smiled.

"In case you don't know, we will have more investors and gain more profit and then our company might be one of the best in France" Beatrice explained.

"You have the chance to end it now, if you don't grab it now, you will have your self to blame" He threatened.

"Will you accept the offer?" He asked, again.

"Nooooooo" she replied, stressing the "o"

"You are behaving stubborn but deep down you aren't" he said and she only smiled. After few minutes of silence, they returned.

"Did you guys have fun?" Mr Alexander asked as he walked in.

"Yes, dad" she replied.

"So we have a plan to make people think you actually love each other" Mr Emerson said

"why do we need to impress the people? " Beatrice asked.

"Because the investors won't agree if they find out that it's a planned merging and a planned marriage, we have to make it look real" Mr Alexander added.

"Okay, so what's the plan?" Brandon asked.

"A date, you both are going on a date" Mr Emerson said and they both glared at each other.

"That's good! When are we going?" She asked.

"Tomorrow" Mr Emerson replied.

"I don't agree with this! Let's just get married for once..It's not like we are in love,, so why go on a date" Brandon suddenly said.

"Brandon!" His father called.

"I am sorry" Brandon whispered.

"So, we're to go on a date and get married?" He asked.

"No! We have more plans ahead, the date is the first step" Mr Emerson replied him.

"Now that we are done talking, we should all have lunch" Mrs Helen said and Mr Emerson stares at his watch.

"Thank you for your kind gesture....I have an appointment, We would like to take our leave" Mr Emerson said and he stood up, also with Brandon.

"Thanks for coming" Mr Alexander said.

"Anything for my future daughter in-law" Mr Emerson said and Beatrice forced out a smile.

"Goodbye" Beatrice said and Mr Emerson frowned.

"You should Kiss his cheeks, he's going to become your husband soon..... Are you shy?" He asked and Beatrice almost scoffed.

"We haven't gotten married yet but I will do as you have said" Beatrice said. She kissed Brandon on his cheeks.

"Goodbye Husband" She said, smirking and Brandon chuckled.

"It would had been romantic if it was coming from someone else" Brandon mocked and he thought that would made Beatrice angry but it didn't, she smiled instead.

"It doesn't suit you, Darling husband" She replied him and he gave her a deadly stare.

Brandon was thinking in the car, when his phone rang, he picked the call.

"Hey, brother! When are you coming home?" Mia asked on the phone.

"Home? I am always at home"

"No! When are you coming to visit me, not your house" She yelled.

"You should know by now that I am a busy person, I have no time to come visit you"

"Really? You are even going to miss my party?" She angrily asked.

"Party? What party"

"It's my birthday in a week! So you don't remember?.....I am so angry with you" She said and hang up.

"What the fuck! I should have lied to her that I remembered"

"Take a U turn, we are going to my parent's house" He said to the driver and the two other cars behind them also turned.

"Stop!" He asked the driver and he stopped.

"Sir,why have we stopped?" The driver asked.

"Don't question me! Take me to my house, we aren't going to my parent's house" Brandon said and the driver frustratedly did as he asked.

"Sir, why have you changed your mind?" The driver didn't know when the question slipped out his mouth.

"Is this an interview or what?" He asked harshly.

"I am sorry sir" The driver whose name is Fred, apologised.

"If I should go to her, then she would ask of Jane, my ex....Mia doesn't know that I have broken up with her, i only dated her because I wanted to have sex with her and I did. How will I explain all these to Mia?" He thought as the driver drove him home.

THE NEXT DAY

Beatrice stood up from her bed and freshened up, she was about leaving her room when her mother walked in.

"Good morning mum" She greeted.

"Morning Beatrice... How was your night?" Helen asked.

"It's not like you care" Beatrice muttered and rolled her eyes.

"Beatrice!"

"I am sorry, i am just angry with you and dad" Beatrice said and Helen sighed.

"We are doing everything for you and your sister...We should go shopping, you have a date at two pm" Helen said and Beatrice furrowed her brows.

"A date?" She asked.

"Have you forgotten?... Your date with Brandon" Helen reminded and Beatrice scoffed.

"That jerk!....I am hungry, I need to head downstairs for breakfast" Beatrice said, holding her stomach.

"The maids must have prepared breakfast, go and eat and after that, we go shopping" Helen said and walked out.

"Mum" Beatrice called and ran after her.

"What happened" Helen stopped and asked.

"About the shopping, why are we going shopping...I haven't even wear all the clothes i had bought" Beatrice complained.

"You are going on a date with Brandon and you need to dress stunningly...We are going shopping and that's final" Helen said and walked out.

"Gosh!" Beatrice angrily yelled.

Mrs Helen drove to the nearest boutique, she and Beatrice walked in and was welcomed.

"Am Rina ma'am and am here to help you get what you want" A lady approached them.

"I want a red mini sexy gown for a date, it's for her" Mrs Helen said, pointing at Beatrice.

"You are going to look sexy in all of them because you are so beautiful" Rina complimented.

"Merci! (Thank you)" Beatrice said with smiles on her face.
