Chapter 5 The girlfriend

Mia thought she was dreaming when she heard a woman's voice and could tell that it was not Naomi or Florence's. She drowsily opened her eyes and could see a figure standing gazing at her. She rubbed her eyes with the back of her palm.

"Miss Elyse the girls are still asleep can you come and wait for Mr. Eric in the living room." Florence asked calmly.

Mia could not understand why this woman was in her room. Elyse left without saying anything to Mia and she walked straight into Eric's bedroom. He was still in his bathroom having a shower.

He came out with a towel wrapped around his waist and water dripping from his hair.

"What are you doing in here? The driver was supposed to drop you off at your hotel." Eric was not happy that Elyse was in his bedroom.

"Why can't I be here with you? And that girl in the other bedroom looks older than your sister." Elyse said as she tried to dry Eric's hair with another towel.

"Since when have you dried my hair and please go and wait for me in the living room." Eric said as he opened the door for Elyse to leave his bedroom.

The two had been seeing each other for three years and Elyse was more into the relationship than Eric. Elyse had been to the villa for parties only as Eric did not like anyone spending a night with him when his sister was around.

Even back home he never took anyone to the home he shared with his sister. He finished dressing up and went in to join Elyse in the living room.

"What are you trying to do? You have never spent any nights at any of my homes so what makes you think that you can stay here?" Eric could not hide his anger.

"What about that girl why is she in here?" Elyse angrily asked.

"Did you see her in my bedroom? And how is that your business?" Eric was not amused at all. He respected his young sister and had vowed not to portray any behavior that might make her disrespect him.

Naomi came into the living room and asked to speak to her brother privately. She did not even bother to greet Elyse. Eric followed his sister into the kitchen.

"Mia has called Luke's friends to come and pick her up. They said they will be here in thirty minutes." Naomi sounded concerned.

"She is not going anywhere." Eric declared and was about to return to the living room when his sister spoke again.

"Your girlfriend budged into Mia's bedroom and Florence had to ask her to leave. Maybe Mia and I should go to a hotel." Naomi had seen how Mia was scared when she woke up and saw Elyse staring at her.

"Naomi, I decide who stays in my house. You and Mia are not going anywhere." Eric said and was about to go back to Elyse when he saw his girlfriend standing by the kitchen door.

"Just say it, Naomi. I know you don't like me that is why you want Eric to go out with your friend." Elyse had now followed the brother and sister into the kitchen and was now shouting at Naomi.

Naomi did not respond but left her brother and girlfriend and went into her bedroom and started packing.

She called for a taxi to take her and her friend to a hotel. It was not the first time that Elyse had accused her of standing in between her and Eric.

Elyse had been trying to move in with Eric, but he was not interested. She blamed Naomi as she believed that she should move out and let her brother do whatever he wanted.

"Mr. Eric two men are here for Miss Mia, and she is already putting her things in their car." Florence announced the arrival of Luke's friends.

Eric hurriedly walked to the two men's car and pulled out Mia's suitcase and closed their car door preventing Mia from getting into the car.

"What is your friend doing in Spain? How much is he paying you to have sex with his girlfriend so that he can easily dump her without getting into trouble with his father?" Eric stunned the two men and they gazed at each other.

Mia was visibly shaken as she could tell from the stunned men's faces that they knew that they had been caught out.

"I knew it was a dumb idea. The guy went on holiday with his girlfriend, and he paid us half of the amount and was going to pay us after the job was done. " One of the men confirmed Eric's suspicions.

Eric offered to pay the rest of the amount if they explain exactly what they were supposed to do. They told him that they were going to spike Mia's drink and take turns to have sex with her. They would then leave money as if it was a payment for sex.

Mia could not wait to hear any more, so Naomi took her back inside. Eric spoke to the men for a few minutes, and they shook hands and left.

"I knew that you had feelings for her. She even has a boyfriend and yet you are stopping her from going." Elyse said as she followed Eric inside.

"Suit yourself Elyse, the taxi will take you to your hotel. You are free to join my birthday party." Eric walked back inside and asked Florence to put Elyse's bags in the taxi. The taxi had been called in by Naomi when she wanted to go with Mia.

Elyse got into the taxi and left for her hotel. Eric's driver Simon explained how he was tricked by Elyse into bringing her to the villa.

She pretended to be talking to Eric and getting permission to bring her over. She even pretended to ask Eric if he wanted to speak to Simon. Eric assured his driver that it was not his fault as he was showing fear of being fired.

Naomi and Mia were summoned into the living room by Eric.

"Mia what were you thinking calling those thugs?" Eric was angry and again his sister gave him a questioning look.

Eric explained that he had known the intentions of those two men the first time he saw them. He didn't want to scare Mia that is why he didn't get into details. He now had to get into details because Mia had thought that the solution of avoiding Elyse was to go with the two men.

"If I can even go back home today, I can do that. You have been nice to me and seeing how angry your fiancée was makes me feel guilty." Mia's eyes were now filled with tears. She was now desperate to go back home.

"I don't have a fiancée. Some women think that if you have sex with them once it means you are automatically engaged to them." Eric stunned the two friends with his statement.

"Too much detail big brother. We are not interested in your sex life." Naomi chuckled and looked at her friend who still looked worried.

There was silence in the room and later Florence came to announce that she had finished preparing breakfast. The trio moved into the dining room to enjoy their breakfast. At first, they could only hear the sound of cutlery as everyone was quiet trying to enjoy their food.

"Eric, you called those men thugs but how come I saw you shaking hands with them." Naomi broke the silence.

"I'm a businessman and I conduct business with anyone even thugs." Eric replied his sister but refuse to go into details with the type of business dealing he was having with the two men.
