Chapter 2 Episode 2

Varga Monti stood impatiently waiting for Ruby to arrive,

Where the fuck was she?,She was already 40 minutes late despite knowing how much he hated unpunctual people.

His eyes kept on looking at the enterance camera on his computer,this was the first time Ruby was late.Just what was soo agent that she didn't call to explain she will be late?

Just then,his three girls walked in to the study towards him

"Daddy"they called taking turns in hugging him,his face now had a smile on it,,

"Did you guys brush your teeth?"he asked

"Yes daddy,you always say brush your teeth first thing in the morning"zaya said imitating his voice making the other two girls giggle,she was the noughty one among the three,,

"Okay,am sure Ben has already made breakfast you girls can go and eat"he said

Has they were about to leave,Maya turned around

"Where are you taking Us today daddy??"she asked,Monti considered her the childish and silly one among the three

"That's a surprise"he answered and watched has the girls rush out of the room giggling to themselves,Raya hadn't said anything,she never said unless she thought it was necessary,she acted mutured and intelligent for her age...

His eyes went back to the computer,it was almost 9 am,just then Ruby walked into the house,Monti got the telephone on his desk

"Sir"Ben answered

"Tell Ruby to come straight to my study"he said..

A minute later a slight knock was heard on the door,he didn't answer,he never does,,

Ruby walked into the room her head bowed

"Where were you!"he asked his voice hard and cold,

"Something came up sir,am sorry i"

"Just what the heck was important more than the girls ruby,you know your first priority is them,you were supposed to be here before they even woke up and here you are an hour late and giving me that shit"he was now yelling,it was good the walls of his house where all sound proof,so the girls and the others outside the room wouldn't hear anything he didn't want them to hear,

"Am sorry sir"she apologised her voice shaky,everyone considered Monti a sweetheart but those who worked closely with him of course knew he was anything but that,well except to his girls,he had a temper anyone would tag as physco

Though no body in their right mind as ever mentioned that to him of course..

"Sorry wont solve anything,this better not repeat itself Ruby,,, now go and prepare the girls,we will be leaving in 20 minutes"he ordered..

Today was a weekend,he had the whole day to spend with his daughters,he had a surprise for them..

he really couldn't imagine a day without themm,they were truly the greatest thing that had ever happened to him...

Has ruby bathed and dressed the girls one after another,her mind was else where,should she tell Monti?,she shook that thought aside,that would only in danger the life of her son more and she couldn't risky it...

In 20mintues,she was done preparing the girls and took them outside to the car to wait for Monti,

"Aunt Ruby why does daddy seem to be in a bad mood?"little raya asked,she was always curious even with the little things around her.

"I don't know the answer to that Raya,as it is your father is always in a bad mood"

Her cute little face turned to a frown

"That's not true"she said,before ruby could form a response Monti got in the car

Ruby got out of the car as a bodyguard entered and sat with the girls,she went to sit with Monti in the second roll,this was how they always travelled on the weekends..

The driver and one bodyguard in front,Monti and Ruby in the second roll and another bodyguard with the girls at the back sit,of course two extra cars where always following them one in front and the other at the back in case anything happened...

Monti had noticed that Ruby had been distant and deep in thought since she came but of course he was a person who never showed concern,he considered that a weakness and just watched her actions from the corner of his eye.

Ruby Sat silently at the far end of the sit deep in thought when her phone suddenly rang,she looked at Monti for permission and he nodded his head allowing her to answer the phone

"Mom"she heard Leo say and felt her heart skip a beat,

Tears were already visible in her eyes

"Leo,,,,,,,,Leo,,,,, are you okay"she asked almost in tears forgetting her boss was next to her

"You are on a car with Monti and his kids,this is the perfect time to tell him about you quitting ruby,we don't have much time and trust me,don't try my patience"Sara has Ruby knew through the voice said,

"Yes"she answered before the phone disconnected.....

She was silent for a while before she gathered the strength to speak

"Sir,i want to quit working for you for sometime"she finally said

She knew how difficult Monti was

"No!!"he answered after a few minutes,why would he even say no when she wasn't asking him but telling them

"I have to,,,,my son is sick,he em he needs my attention and care right now,he has a terminal illness"she lied tears already falling on her cheeks,it was better if it was a terminal illness than a kidnapped son most likly to be killed..

"No!,,the girls,they need you,you are the only mother they have ever knowen,they can't go a day without you"his voice now sounded slightly soft,but that was only Slightly

"I know,,,my sister she is nice and kind,she will fill in my place while am away,the girls will love her"

"You are the only woman i have under my employment,the girls are still young,they need a woman to care for them but i wont just employ any woman who is committed to other things"his voice was its usual cold self

"She isn't married,she doesn't even have a child,the girls will love her sir,just give her a chance to take in my place,i promise you won't regret it"her heart was filled with guilt as she said this,she just wanted her son to be safe

Monti had been silent for what seemed like hours but only mere minutes

When he spook he told the driver to turn the car around back to his mansion

He felt that Ruby's son also needed her attention and it would be soo unfair if he didn't let her see to her son's health,if the woman was her sister then it was okay if she took her place that's if the girls would like her of course

"Come with your sister tomorrow morning and then we will talk after that"he said and that was all Ruby wanted to hear...
