Chapter 5 Can't Get You Outta My Mind

Rylie's POV

I laid in bed wide awake, the kiss playing over and over again in my head. Despite all my efforts to try and fall asleep, I just couldn't. And it was all thanks to that bastard, Blake.

Argh! Why did he have to run out of the room? Why didn't he just wait for me to open the door? Why didn't he!?

It was a mistake, I know but my silly brain can't seem to let it go. It also doesn't help that I haven't been kissed in ages.

Ever since Asher cheated on me and ended our relationship, boys have never seemed interesting to me. Now I had to go and kiss the least most interesting guy in my life.

Argh!

I rolled out of bed and took my seat at my reading table. I turned on my laptop and replayed the video of Blake and Talia trying to see if there was anything I needed to edit.

Of course I didn't watch. I just moved it to the front. Then towards the end of the video, I noticed something.

The camera had still been rolling when I opened the door and it'd captured the kiss.

How it was able to capture that far, I had no idea. What to do about it now was the only thing on my mind.

"I'll just edit it out." I decided and I got on it but just as I was about to delete the video of the kiss, I got really thirsty.

I made my way to the kitchen and decided on a midnight snack to help me sleep. By the time I eventually got back to my room, I was so sleepy and the next thing I knew, I was on my way to Dreamland.

*The Next Morning*

Immediately my alarm clock rang, I turned it off, already wide awake. The sleep had done me a lot of good. I felt clear-headed and refreshed.

My eyes darted to my laptop which was still on and I decided to just delete the video altogether. I kinda went too far anyway.

Once I deleted the video, I immediately felt much better. Without the video, all evidence of the kiss was gone and no one would ever know.

With a smile on my face, I bounded happily to the bathroom, unaware of what awaited me at school.

I happily got out of my car, relieved that I hadn't bumped into Blake today. We'd been doing that for a few days now and seeing him would have disrupted my peace of mind.

Once I stepped into the school however, I immediately knew that something was off.

For one, almost everyone's eyes were on me which was totally weird. I'm not exactly the popular type so not much people notice me.

Secondly, for whatever reason, everyone or specifically, every girl I walked past was glaring at me... seriously! You could literally feel the hatred and anger as I walked past them.

I'm rarely intimidated by anything...but it was hard not to be as I headed towards my locker.

"Olivia!" I said with relief as I sighted her by her locker. "You wouldn't believe how crazy things have been." I said, hoping she had an explanation.

To my surprise, Olivia turned to look at me with a glare on her face.

"I so can not believe you."

"What does that mean? Olivia, what's wrong?" I asked, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"Don't touch me!" She yelled, jerking away. "You are such a hypocrite!" She spat and stalked off.

Okay, what the heck was that?

First, everyone's paying me attention and now my own best friend is giving me the cold shoulder?!

Did I wake up in the right universe today???

I was still trying to figure out what exactly was going on when I felt someone grab my wrist and turn me around bringing me face to face with the only and only...

"Blake!" I gasped staring at him.

Of course he's involved. He must have done something that made everyone hate me.

"You damn bastard! What did you do? You are so..."

"Follow me!" He said through gritted teeth as he pulled me with him and for whatever reason, I didn't resist.

Why do I have a feeling this won't be good?
