Chapter 4 Hidden Marriage Chapter 3

Karan tries to make them understand that they can't marry each other but they were not listening to him. Some village ladies took Naina with them to make her ready while Karan was also given clothes to get ready.

Mandap/pavilion (the place where Indian marriages take place)was decorated for marriage. The priest was performing some rituals. Karan was sitting in the mandap/Pavilion unwillingly.

" Where is the bride?", Priest asked.

Some women took Naina to the mandap. Karan looked towards her. She was looking very beautiful in a bridal dress.

" What are you thinking Karan?", he mumbled while shaking his head.

They got married without their families in these circumstances. Finally, villagers allowed them to make a call. They( villagers)also provide a car for them to go home.

Karan and Naina's families were very worried about them. Karan calls his father and informs them about the thief and everything except their marriage.

Naina was in the room. She was seeing herself in the mirror. Her forehead ( maang) was filled with vermilion (sindoor). Mangalsutra( auspicious thread) was tied by Karan in her neck. She was touching her Vermilion and mangalsutra(auspicious thread).

" I am a married woman now. I can't believe I got married to Karan. I don't know what will happen when our families will get to know about this?", she was thinking.

" Naina car is ready, we should go now.", Karan said while entering the room. Both look towards each other. Naina's eyes were filled with tears.

" I have already made a call to home. I have told them everything except our marriage", he said.

Naina nodded her head. Karan went close to her and asked," you okay??".

" Yes", Naina replies.

Both sit in the car and move towards their house. Both were lost in their thoughts.

They were about to reach the city when Karan parked the car roadside.

" Naina I know in which circumstances we got married was not good. But we can't change the fact that We are married. You are my wife. Now you are my responsibility. I promise I will protect you from every problem.", Karan said while taking her hand in his and giving her an encouraging smile.

Naina suddenly hugged him and started crying while hiding herself in his chest. Karan hugged her back.

" When the family gets to know about us, what will we do?. What will I tell mom and dad? How will I face all of them.", She said.

" I am here for you. I will make everything alright. I will protect you from everyone.", He said while wiping her tears.

" Let's keep it a secret for some time. I will tell them everything soon seeing a good chance. You trust me?", He said.

She nodded her head. Karan feels a little happy from inside knowing that she trusts him.

" I will make everything fine. I promise", he said while hugging her.

After some time, both break the hug. Naina was blushing thinking about their hug while Karan was feeling embarrassed.

Karan starts the car and moves towards their house. They were about to reach home when Karan again stopped the car in front of the shop.

" What happened?", she asked.

" We need to change the clothes. We can't go home like this", he said.

Both enter the shop and change their clothes. Naina wears a Palazzo suit. Karan sees that Naina is wearing vermillion and Mangalsutra ( auspicious thread)till now.

" Naina, you didn't remove vermillion and mangalsutra ( auspicious thread)?", he asked.

" Mom always said a married girl should never remove her vermillion and her mangalsutra (auspicious thread,)", Naina replies innocently.

Listening to her, Karan felt like his heart missed a beat. He was feeling very happy. Controlling his happiness, he said," if you don't want to remove it, it's okay. But please hide it perfectly. Don't let others see them till we tell our families about it".

Naina agreed and hid her mangalsutra(auspicious thread)using her dupatta(scarf) and vermillion using her hairs.

They finally reached the house.

Everyone gathered around them.

" Are you both okay??", Their mothers asked.

" How did this happen?", his father asked.

" Who were those thief's?", Rohan asked.

" Silence", Karan shouted to make them silent.

" Let us speak at least", he said. Finally, he tells them everything except their marriage and his injury.

Finally, they were told to take a rest. Both see each other last time before going to their rooms.

Everyone was present for dinner. Karan was having pain in his right hand due to an injury. He was not able to eat his dinner but he doesn't want to worry everyone.

" Naina what happened? You are not speaking today?", Aditi asked her.

" Nothing just tired", she said. While seeing Karan. She noticed Karan was not eating that much. His mother also noticed this.

" Karan, what happened? You are not eating anything", his mother asked.

" Mom, I am not hungry. I am going to my room.", he said and go from there.

Suddenly Naina remembers that he got injured in his right hand. She understands that he is feeling pain due to which he was not eating his dinner.

Later in the night, when everyone sleeps. Naina took dinner for Karan. His room's light was on. She entered his room without knocking. Karan was trying to change his wound's dressing when suddenly Naina entered. Seeing Karan shirtless, she was shocked. She was seeing him with wide eyes.

Coming to her senses, she turns towards the door.

" You here?", he asked, still struggling with his wound's dressing.

" You didn't eat your dinner due to your injury so I took your dinner here.", she said.

" Keep it on the table", he said while feeling shocked seeing her care for him.

Naina was still standing there in a dilemma whether to ask him or not about helping him in dressing.

" What happened?...aah", he asked. He suddenly screams due to pain.

" Karan!!", She turns and goes towards him.

She took medicine from him.

" Let me do it,'' she said. She started treating his wound. She was nervous being sitting close to Karan while he was half-naked. She with shivering hands treated him. She can sense his eyes on her the whole time.

She helped him in wearing his shirt.

" You should go to the doctor once.", Naina pleaded.

He nodded his head. Karan sat in bed to eat his dinner but he was not able to.

" Let me help you,'' she asked with hesitation.

" Hmmm", he replied.

She sat on the chair in front of him. She, with shivering hands, makes him eat his dinner. He was seeing her intensely. After dinner, she gave him painkiller medicine. He took the medicine silently.

" Good night", she said and went from there after switching off the lights and closing the door.

Karan was touched by her care. He was feeling happy seeing her care. The first time he was seeing Naina like this. He was experiencing a different kind of feeling for Naina which he had never experienced before.

" Mom says right, the bond of marriage is very powerful", He thought.

This marriage has changed his point of view towards Naina completely.

He slept with Naina in his thoughts and a smile on his face for the first time.
